2b778ceb40 Update copyright dates with scripts/update-copyrights
I used these shell commands:

../glibc/scripts/update-copyrights $PWD/../gnulib/build-aux/update-copyright
(cd ../glibc && git commit -am"[this commit message]")

and then ignored the output, which consisted lines saying "FOO: warning:
copyright statement not found" for each of 6694 files FOO.
I then removed trailing white space from benchtests/bench-pthread-locks.c
and iconvdata/tst-iconv-big5-hkscs-to-2ucs4.c, to work around this
diagnostic from Savannah:
remote: *** pre-commit check failed ...
remote: *** error: lines with trailing whitespace found

10a446ddcc elf: Unify symbol address run-time calculation [BZ #19818]
Wrap symbol address run-time calculation into a macro and use it
throughout, replacing inline calculations.

There are a couple of variants, most of them different in a functionally
insignificant way. Most calculations are right following RESOLVE_MAP,
at which point either the map or the symbol returned can be checked for
validity as the macro sets either both or neither. In some places both
the symbol and the map has to be checked however.

My initial implementation therefore always checked both, however that
resulted in code larger by as much as 0.3%, as many places know from
elsewhere that no check is needed. I have decided the size growth was
unacceptable.

Having looked closer I realized that it's the map that is the culprit.
Therefore I have modified LOOKUP_VALUE_ADDRESS to accept an additional
boolean argument telling it to access the map without checking it for
validity. This in turn has brought quite nice results, with new code
actually being smaller for i686, and MIPS o32, n32 and little-endian n64
targets, unchanged in size for x86-64 and, unusually, marginally larger
for big-endian MIPS n64, as follows:

8644588807 Fix TLS relocations against local symbols on powerpc32, sparc32 and sparc64
Normally, TLS relocations against local symbols are optimised by the linker
to be absolute. However, gold does not do this, and so it is possible to
end up with, for example, R_SPARC_TLS_DTPMOD64 referring to a local symbol.
Since sym_map is left as null in elf_machine_rela for the special local
symbol case, the relocation handling thinks it has nothing to do, and so
the module gets left as 0. Havoc then ensues when the variable in question
is accessed.

Before this fix, the main_local_gold program would receive a SIGBUS on
sparc64, and SIGSEGV on powerpc32. With this fix applied, that test now
passes like the rest of them.

	* sysdeps/powerpc/powerpc32/dl-machine.h (elf_machine_rela):
Assign sym_map to be map for local symbols, as TLS relocations
use sym_map to determine whether the symbol is defined and to
	extract the TLS information.

0572433b5b PowerPC64 ELFv2 PPC64_OPT_LOCALENTRY
ELFv2 functions with localentry:0 are those with a single entry point,
ie. global entry == local entry, that have no requirement on r2 or
r12 and guarantee r2 is unchanged on return. Such an external
function can be called via the PLT without saving r2 or restoring it
on return, avoiding a common load-hit-store for small functions.

This patch implements the ld.so changes necessary for this
optimization. ld.so needs to check that an optimized plt call
sequence is in fact calling a function implemented with localentry:0,
end emit a fatal error otherwise.

The elf/testobj6.c change is to stop "error while loading shared
libraries: expected localentry:0 `preload'" when running
elf/preloadtest, which we'd get otherwise.

67385a01d2 powerpc: Add hwcap/hwcap2/platform data to TCB.
This patch adds a new feature for powerpc. In order to get faster access to
the HWCAP/HWCAP2 bits and platform number (i.e. for implementing
__builtin_cpu_is () / __builtin_cpu_supports () in GCC) without the overhead of
reading from the auxiliary vector, we now reserve space for them in the TCB.
This is an ABI change for GLIBC 2.23.

A new versioned symbol '__parse_hwcap_and_convert_at_platform' is available to
get the data from the auxiliary vector and parse it, and store it for later use
in the TLS initialization code. This function is called very early
(in _dl_sysdep_start () via DL_PLATFORM_INFO for the dynamic linking case, and
in __libc_start_main () for the static linking case) to make sure the data is
available at the time of TLS initialization.

afcd9480fe powerpc __tls_get_addr call optimization
This patch is glibc support for a PowerPC TLS optimization, inspired
by Alexandre Oliva's TLS optimization for other processors,
http://www.lsd.ic.unicamp.br/~oliva/writeups/TLS/RFC-TLSDESC-x86.txt

In essence, this optimization uses a zero module id in the tls_index
GOT entry to indicate that a TLS variable is allocated space in the
static TLS area. A special plt call linker stub for __tls_get_addr
checks for such a tls_index and if found, returns the offset
immediately. The linker communicates the fact that the special
__tls_get_addr stub is used by setting a bit in the dynamic tag
DT_PPC64_OPT/DT_PPC_OPT. glibc communicates to the linker that this
optimization is available by the presence of __tls_get_addr_opt.

tst-tlsmod2.so is built with -Wl,--no-tls-get-addr-optimize for
tst-tls-dlinfo, which otherwise would fail since it tests that no
static tls is allocated. The ld option --no-tls-get-addr-optimize has
been available since binutils-2.20 so doesn't need a configure test.

4cf5b6d0d7 Fix Wundef warning for ELF_MACHINE_NO_RELA
This patch defines ELF_MACHINE_NO_RELA on all architectures. Tested
only on x86_64 to verify that the sources before and after are
identical except for two instructions that pass the current line
number in dl-machine.h to assert_fail.
