720480934a linux: Consolidate brk implementation 
It removes all the arch-specific assembly implementation.  The
outliers are alpha, where its kernel ABI explict return -ENOMEM
in case of failure; and i686, where it can't use
"call *%gs:SYSINFO_OFFSET" during statup in static PIE.

Also some ABIs exports an additional ___brk_addr symbol and to
handle it an internal HAVE_INTERNAL_BRK_ADDR_SYMBOL is added.

Checked on x86_64-linux-gnu, i686-linux-gnu, adn with builsd for
the affected ABIs.

bc2eb9321e linux: Remove INTERNAL_SYSCALL_DECL 
With all Linux ABIs using the expected Linux kABI to indicate
syscalls errors, the INTERNAL_SYSCALL_DECL is an empty declaration
on all ports.

This patch removes the 'err' argument on INTERNAL_SYSCALL* macro
and remove the INTERNAL_SYSCALL_DECL usage.

Checked with a build against all affected ABIs.

fcb78a5505 linux: Consolidate INLINE_SYSCALL 
With all Linux ABIs using the expected Linux kABI to indicate
syscalls errors, there is no need to replicate the INLINE_SYSCALL.

The generic Linux sysdep.h includes errno.h even for !__ASSEMBLER__,
which is ok now and it allows cleanup some archaic code that assume
otherwise.

Checked with a build against all affected ABIs.

b8386c2859 Remove PREPARE_VERSION and PREPARE_VERSION_KNOW 
This patch removes the PREPARE_VERSION and PREPARE_VERSION_KNOW macro
and uses a static inline function instead, get_vdso_symbol.  Each
architecture that supports vDSO must define the Linux version and its
hash for symbol resolution (VDSO_NAME and VDSO_HASH macro respectively).

It also organizes the HAVE_*_VSYSCALL for mips, powerpc, and s390 to
define them on a common header.

The idea is to require less code to configure and enable vDSO support
for newer ports.  No semantic changes are expected.

Checked with a build against all affected architectures.

d665367f59 linux: Enable vDSO for static linking as default (BZ#19767) 
This patch assumes static vDSO is supported as default, it is now supported
on all current architectures that support vDSO.  It allows removing both
ALWAYS_USE_VSYSCALL define, which an architecture requires to explicit define
and USE_VSYSCALL (which defines vDSO only for shared or if architecture defines
ALWAYS_USE_VSYSCALL).

5e855c8954 s390: Enable VDSO for static linking 
Although s390 only enables vDSO for dynamically linked elf binaries
(arch/s390/kernel/vdso.c:217), there is no indication in the code or
associated commit message for why not enable it for statically linked
binaries as well.  To double check, I rebuilt a kernel with the
check removed and the vDSO does work for static build for supplied
symbols.

Checked on s390x-linux-gnu and s390-linux-gnu.

aa0e46636a Break further lines before not after operators. 
This patch continues the process of fixing coding style to break lines
before not after operators in accordance with the GNU Coding

478593e637 S390: Fix backtrace in vdso functions. 
On s390, GDB fails to show the complete backtrace from within vdso functions.
The macro INTERNAL_VSYSCALL_CALL saves the return address in r14 to r10
before branching to the vdso function. The branch-instruction updates r14
in order to let the vdso function return. Then the original address in r14 is
restored from r10. Unfortunately, there are no cfi-rules and GDB fails.

Furthermore the call of the vdso function does not comply with the s390 ABI
as no stack-frame for the vdso-function is generated.

This patch removes the s390 specific macro INTERNAL_VSYSCALL_CALL
and the common implementation in sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sysdep-vdso.h is used.
Then the vdso function is called via function-pointer and GCC generates a
new stack-frame and emits all needed cfi-rules.

The defines CLOBBER_[0-6] are removed as they  were only used in macro
INTERNAL_VSYSCALL_CALL.

The macro INTERNAL_VSYSCALL_NO_SYSCALL_FALLBACK is not used on s390.
The only user is power. Thus it is removed from s390 sysdep.h.

b91a333ecb S390: Add support for vdso getcpu symbol. 
This patch adds support for symbol __kernel_getcpu in vDSO,
which is available with kernel 4.5.
Now sched_getcpu is using this symbol if available in mapped vDSO
by defining macro HAVE_GETCPU_VSYSCALL. If not available at runtime,
the former syscall is used.

fb1cf10811 Add INLINE_SYSCALL_ERROR_RETURN_VALUE 
For ia32 PIC, the first thing of many syscalls does is to call
__x86.get_pc_thunk.reg to load PC into reg in case there is an error,
which is required for setting errno.  In most cases, there are no
errors.  But we still call __x86.get_pc_thunk.reg.  This patch adds
INLINE_SYSCALL_ERROR_RETURN_VALUE so that i386 can optimize setting
errno by branching to the internal __syscall_error without PLT.

With i386 INLINE_SYSCALL_ERROR_RETURN_VALUE and i386 syscall inlining
optimization for GCC 5, for sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/fchmodat.c with
-O2 -march=i686 -mtune=generic, GCC 5.2 now generates:

97554e4382 Consolidate gettimeofday across aarch64/s390/tile 
This patch removes the architecture specific gettimeofday implementation
to use the vDSO symbol and consolidate it on a common Linux one.
Similar to clock_gettime and clock_getres vDSO implementation, each port
that supports gettimeofday through vDSO should just implement INLINE_VSYSCALL
to access the symbol and define HAVE_{GETTIME,GETRES}_VSYSCAL as 1.

f534255e4d Consolidate vDSO macros and usage 
This patch consolidate the Linux vDSO define and usage across all ports
that uses it.  The common vDSO definitions and calling through
{INLINE/INTERNAL}_VSYSCALL macros are moved to a common header
sysdep-vdso.h and vDSO name declaration and prototype is defined
using a common macro.

Also PTR_{MANGLE,DEMANGLE} is added to ports that does not use them
for vDSO calls (aarch64, powerpc, s390, and tile) and thus it will
reflect in code changes.  For ports that already implement pointer
mangling/demangling in vDSO system (i386, x32, x86_64) this patch
is mainly a code refactor.

Checked on x32, x86_64, x32, ppc64le, and aarch64.
