581c785bf3 Update copyright dates with scripts/update-copyrights
I used these shell commands:

../glibc/scripts/update-copyrights $PWD/../gnulib/build-aux/update-copyright
(cd ../glibc && git commit -am"[this commit message]")

and then ignored the output, which consisted lines saying "FOO: warning:
copyright statement not found" for each of 7061 files FOO.

I then removed trailing white space from math/tgmath.h,
support/tst-support-open-dev-null-range.c, and
sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/strlen-vec.S, to work around the following
obscure pre-commit check failure diagnostics from Savannah. I don't
know why I run into these diagnostics whereas others evidently do not.

8807e560c0 Define __STDC_IEC_60559_BFP__ and __STDC_IEC_60559_COMPLEX__
TS 18661-1 and C2X specify predefined macros __STDC_IEC_60559_BFP__
and __STDC_IEC_60559_COMPLEX__, making __STDC_IEC_559__ and
__STDC_IEC_559_COMPLEX__ obsolescent (but still included in the
standard). Now that we have all the functions from TS 18661-1, define
these macros in stdc-predef.h, under the same conditions in which the
older macros are defined, since support for the floating-point
features in TS 18661-1 is now at the same level as that for those in
C11 and before (all library functions and other library APIs present,
but no standard pragma support).

The macros are defined for now with their TS 18661-1 values. C2X will
give them new values (listed as yyyymmL in the working drafts until
the final standard), at which point there will be the question of what
value to use in stdc-predef.h (where it could depend on
__STDC_VERSION__, but not on feature test macros defined by the user).
My inclination then would be to use the C2X value unconditionally
rather than using an older value to indicate TS support, and only have
any C standard version conditionals for the value when subsequent C
standard versions define further values.

(Note that I'm also inclined, when we implement the C2X change to the
return types of fromfp functions, to make that change unconditional
much like the change made to the types of totalorder functions, with
the old version only supported with compat symbols for already-linked
programs and not as an API for newly built objects. So using the C2X
value would also accurately reflect not supporting the versions of
APIs in the TS where those ended up being incompatible with the first
version actually added to the standard.)

Tested for x86_64.

5a82c74822 Prefer https to http for gnu.org and fsf.org URLs
Also, change sources.redhat.com to sourceware.org.
This patch was automatically generated by running the following shell
script, which uses GNU sed, and which avoids modifying files imported
from upstream:

sed -ri '
  s,(http|ftp)(://(.*\.)?(gnu|fsf|sourceware)\.org($|[^.]|\.[^a-z])),https\2,g
  s,(http|ftp)(://(.*\.)?)sources\.redhat\.com($|[^.]|\.[^a-z]),https\2sourceware.org\4,g
' \
  $(find $(git ls-files) -prune -type f \
      ! -name '*.po' \
      ! -name 'ChangeLog*' \
      ! -path COPYING ! -path COPYING.LIB \
      ! -path manual/fdl-1.3.texi ! -path manual/lgpl-2.1.texi \
      ! -path manual/texinfo.tex ! -path scripts/config.guess \
      ! -path scripts/config.sub ! -path scripts/install-sh \
      ! -path scripts/mkinstalldirs ! -path scripts/move-if-change \
      ! -path INSTALL ! -path locale/programs/charmap-kw.h \
      ! -path po/libc.pot ! -path sysdeps/gnu/errlist.c \
      ! '(' -name configure \
            -execdir test -f configure.ac -o -f configure.in ';' ')' \
      ! '(' -name preconfigure \
            -execdir test -f preconfigure.ac ';' ')' \
      -print)

and then by running 'make dist-prepare' to regenerate files built
from the altered files, and then executing the following to cleanup:

  chmod a+x sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/riscv/configure
  # Omit irrelevant whitespace and comment-only changes,
  # perhaps from a slightly-different Autoconf version.
  git checkout -f \
    sysdeps/csky/configure \

ce7528f637 nptl: Add C11 threads thrd_* functions
This patch adds the thrd_* definitions from C11 threads (ISO/IEC 9899:2011),
more specifically thrd_create, thrd_curent, rhd_detach, thrd_equal,
thrd_exit, thrd_join, thrd_sleep, thrd_yield, and required types.

Mostly of the definitions are composed based on POSIX conterparts, such as
thrd_t (using pthread_t). For thrd_* function internally direct
POSIX pthread call are used with the exceptions:

  1. thrd_start uses pthread_create internal implementation, but changes
how to actually calls the start routine. This is due the difference
in signature between POSIX and C11, where former return a 'void *'
     and latter 'int'.
To avoid calling convention issues due 'void *' to int cast, routines
from C11 threads are started slight different than default pthread one.
Explicit cast to expected return are used internally on pthread_create
and the result is stored back to void also with an explicit cast.

  2. thrd_sleep uses nanosleep internal direct syscall to avoid clobbering
errno and to handle expected standard return codes. It is a
cancellation entrypoint to be consistent with both thrd_join and
     cnd_{timed}wait.

  3. thrd_yield also uses internal direct syscall to avoid errno clobbering.

Checked with a build for all major ABI (aarch64-linux-gnu, alpha-linux-gnu,
arm-linux-gnueabi, i386-linux-gnu, ia64-linux-gnu, m68k-linux-gnu,
microblaze-linux-gnu [1], mips{64}-linux-gnu, nios2-linux-gnu,
powerpc{64le}-linux-gnu, s390{x}-linux-gnu, sparc{64}-linux-gnu,
and x86_64-linux-gnu).

Also ran a full check on aarch64-linux-gnu, x86_64-linux-gnu, i686-linux-gnu,
arm-linux-gnueabhf, and powerpc64le-linux-gnu.

92e1ab0eb5 Revert __malloc_initialize_hook symbol poisoning
It turns out the Emacs-internal malloc implementation uses
__malloc_* symbols. If glibc poisons them in <stdc-pre.h>,
Emacs will no longer compile.

2ba3cfa160 malloc: Remove __malloc_initialize_hook from the API [BZ #19564]
__malloc_initialize_hook is interposed by application code, so
the usual approach to define a compatibility symbol does not work.
This commit adds a new mechanism based on #pragma GCC poison in
<stdc-predef.h>.
