This automatically-generated patch converts 69 function definitions in glibc from old-style K&R to prototype-style. This patch, covering both sysdeps and non-sysdeps files, deals with cases where the prototype needed to be wrapped over more than one line. Otherwise, exclusions and caveats are as for <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2015-10/msg00594.html> and <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2015-10/msg00599.html>. Tested for x86_64 and x86 (testsuite, and that installed stripped shared libraries are unchanged by the patch). * crypt/crypt-entry.c (__crypt_r): Convert to prototype-style function definition. * crypt/crypt_util.c (__encrypt_r): Likewise. * libio/genops.c (_IO_no_init): Likewise. * libio/iofopncook.c (_IO_fopencookie): Likewise. * TCP based RPC supports 'batched calls'.
* A sequence of calls may be batched-up in a send buffer. The rpc call
* return immediately to the client even though the call was not necessarily
* sent. The batching occurs if the results' xdr routine is NULL (0) AND
* the rpc timeout value is zero (see clnt.h, rpc).
*
* Clients should NOT casually batch calls that in fact return results; that is,
* the server side should be aware that a call is batched and not produce any
* return message. Batched calls that produce many result messages can
* deadlock (netlock) the client and the server....
*
* Now go hang yourself.
