Benjamin Otte e3bac4063c gpu: Copy the clear trick from the Vulkan shader
When drawing opaque color regions that are large enough, use
vkCmdClearAttachments()/glClear() instead of a shader. This speeds up
background rendering on particular on older GPUs.
