429e0bfaec filechooser: Correct an annotation 
Clarify that gtk_file_chooser_add_filter is only taking
ownership of a floating reference, which translates to
"transfer none", not "transfer full".

ff6772fd98 Remove preview widget from GtkFileChooser 
The preview widget harks from a platform before time, when we didn't
have GIO, or a thumbnail specification.

Very few applications use it correctly, if at all; it has an horrid hack
to deal with the ownership of the widget's instance when accessed
through the getter function; it messes up the layout of the widget and
its label is less than useful when it comes to file names longer than a
dozen characters; it's a poor substitute for a proper thumbnail view.

b09e7df81b Remove GtkFileChooser:local-only 
Now that the whole API goes through GFile we don't have the weird split
between local-only and non-local-only modes.

063ad28b1a Remove overwrite confirmation machinery from GtkFileChooser 
Overwrite confirmation should not be optional, and it should not loop
into application code to create their own dialog and user response.

d505573ee6 Drop GtkFileChooser:extra-widget 
We have "choices" as a more rational (and portable) API; additionally,
the ownership semantics of the extra widget property getter are a hack.

5f070ff233 Remove filename/URI API from GtkFileChooser 
GtkFileChooser's API predates GIO by a few years, so it started off with
filenames and URI as character arrays. After introducing GIO as a
dependency, the API included GFile-based entry points.

It's much more appropriate to use GFile everywhere, as we want to
encourage people to use GIO instead of passing random bytes to low level
POSIX API.

f507a79056 marshallers: ensure g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOIDv is used 
If we set c_marshaller manually, then g_signal_newv() will not setup a
va_marshaller for us. However, if we provide c_marshaller as NULL, it will
setup both the c_marshaller (to g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOID) and
va_marshaller (to g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOIDv) for us.

4c150d8eb5 The big versioning cleanup 
Remove all the old 2.x and 3.x version annotations.
GTK+ 4 is a new start, and from the perspective of a
GTK+ 4 developer all these APIs have been around since
the beginning.

6fc7485077 GtkFileChooser: Add abstract api for comboboxes and checkbuttons 
This commit adds API for adding combo boxes and check buttons to
GtkFileChooser, and getting the selected value back in ::response.

In contrast to gtk_file_chooser_set_extra_widget, these APIs are
abstract and suitable for implementation in GtkFileChooserNative.

0f6c7682b3 Make GtkFileChooser interface require a GObject 
Before all GtkFileChooser implementations had to be a GtkWidget,
but we want to introduce one for native implementations that
is not a widget.

This is technically an ABI break, because some code could rely
on the guarantee that GtkFileChoosers are GtkWidgets and do
unchecked GtkWidget calls. However, that does seem unlikely,
and this has not really been documented anywhere.

9f24b54786 Code cleanup 
Use g_slist_free_full more consistently. This commit just converts
the obvious cases where g_slist_forall is directly followed by
g_slist_free.

c39b6be22b docs: Fix name of GtkFileChooser's Create Folder button 
The documentation for GtkFileChooser references the button which allows
the user to create new folders as the New Folder button, although the
label actually says Create Folder.

Update the documentation to say Create Folder instead of New Folder.

84b4910b39 filechooser: Add gtk_file_chooser_get_current_name() 
Currently you can only set the current filename, but not
get it. It's useful to be able to get it in save
dialogs, where the user has typed the desired filename
and you are not in a real directory (recent used, for
example).
