170130f1d9 css: Add fast-path for parent selector matching 
Add a fast path for parent selector matching that uses a bloom filter to
quickly discard selectors that can't possibly match.

Keep in mind that we match using a bloom filter, so we might
accidentally include too many selectors when hash/bucket collisions
occur.
That's not a correctness problem though, because we'll do a real check
afterwards.

The idea for this change is taken from browsers, in particular WebKit.

aa7c5e96a6 css: Pass node through the lookup code 
... instead of passing a matcher.

The matcher code is now local to the CssProvider/CssSelector machinery.

13f4d639fd gtkstyleprovider: Rename -gtk-style-changed signal to have a valid name 
Signal names must start with a letter. They can’t start with a hyphen.

It was originally added in commit 74f4c6f6bd with no given reason
for why the signal name was chosen as it was.

83fb7a649f css: Merge GtkStyleProviderPrivate into GtkStyleProvider 
This is just lots of renaming.

The interface remains private, so the public API does not change, apart
from removing the definition of the Interface object to avoid
subclassing.

45b4fb02b1 styleprovider: Deprecate two non-working functions 
Both of them weren't used inside GTK. And apparently they weren't used
outside of GTK either, as alex recently mentioned them being severly
broken.

b792a31995 widgetpath: allow GTypes non-derived from GTK_TYPE_WIDGET 
This makes things like GtkCellRenderer or GtkNumerableIcon more easily
themeable.

297fa7a3dd GtkStyleProvider: Add GtkStateFlags parameter to get_style_property(). 
Widget style properties can now have different values depending on the
current state.

e2f91f7201 Documentation improvements 
This patch adds more detail to the explanation of CSS, and also
adds documentation about which files are read.

We also make :focus an alternative to :focused (since :focus is
a standard CSS pseudo-class).

c9dc09e980 GtkStyleProvider: Pass a GParamSpec in get_style_property(). 
This is so we can know the owner type of the property, and matching
with the stored strings in GtkCssProvider is direct.

so the new name is nicer in that regard and not much longer.

019fa73308 Add GtkStyleProvider, an interface to provide style details. 
The get_style() function isn't final yet, further parameters
should be added to query details based on the widget hierarchy,
name, etc.
