f8b6bfe744 docs: Remove '\' escape character from literals 
commit 7f6a964c47 replaced entities, but
escaped the replacement text also inside literals, which resulted in the
escaping '\' to also appear in the documentation.

7f6a964c47 Docs: Remove all entities and turn off sgml mode 
With all element markup gone, it is time to turn off
sgml mode, and get rid of entities as well.

7e29fc5b42 gtkshow: don't call _get_display() on a NULL GdkScreen 
gtk_show_uri() is documented to accept a NULL screen to mean the default
one. Calling gdk_screen_get_display() on a NULL object will cause
segfaults.

containing a parameter and the string 'or %NULL'.
Gdk backends and demos excluded as they are not part of a public API
