1d40f29776 wayland: Make gdk_wayland_device_pad_set_feedback private
It is not a generally useful api, and awkwardly named.

cab1dcb696 gdk: Conflate GDK devices
Make GdkEvents hold a single GdkDevice. This device is closer to
the logical device conceptually, although it must be sufficient for
device checks (i.e. GdkInputSource), which makes it similar to the
physical devices.

Make the logical devices have a more accurate GdkInputSource where
needed, and conflate the event devices altogether.

f28aa1ba02 Restructure the GdkEvent type hierarchy
GdkEvent has been a "I-can't-believe-this-is-not-OOP" type for ages,
using a union of sub-types. This has always been problematic when it
comes to implementing accessor functions: either you get generic API
that takes a GdkEvent and uses a massive switch() to determine which
event types have the data you're looking for; or you create namespaced
accessors, but break language bindings horribly, as boxed types cannot
have derived types.

The recent conversion of GskRenderNode (which had similar issues) to
GTypeInstance, and the fact that GdkEvent is now a completely opaque
type, provide us with the chance of moving GdkEvent to GTypeInstance,
and have sub-types for GdkEvent.

The change from boxed type to GTypeInstance is pretty small, all things
considered, but ends up cascading to a larger commit, as we still have
backends and code in GTK trying to access GdkEvent structures directly.
Additionally, the naming of the public getter functions requires
renaming all the data structures to conform to the namespace/type-name
pattern.

049f841900 padcontroller: Copy action entries
The label and action_name entries of GtkPadActionEntry are supposed to
be const, so copy them into a private ActionEntryData struct that we
later free.

b1eaa502df events: reorganize getters
Restructure the getters for event fields to
be more targeted at particular event types.

Update all callers, and replace all direct
event struct access with getters.

As a side-effect, this drops some unused getters.

31bf9da63a Strip const from GdkEvent
Events are refcounted structs, and we generally don't
pass these as const.

dd251d85c4 Pass translated coordinates outside the event
We want to make events readonly, so stop translating
their coordinates and instead pass the translated
coordinates separately, when propagating events.

4c150d8eb5 The big versioning cleanup
Remove all the old 2.x and 3.x version annotations.
GTK+ 4 is a new start, and from the perspective of a
GTK+ 4 developer all these APIs have been around since
the beginning.

43c212ac28 build: Enable -Wswitch-enum and -Wswitch-default
This patch makes that work using 1 of 2 options:

1. Add all missing enums to the switch statement
  or
2. Cast the switch argument to a uint to avoid having to do that (mostly
   for GdkEventType).

I even found a bug while doing that: clearing a GtkImage with a surface
did not notify thae surface property.

The reason for enabling this flag even though it is tedious at times is
that it is very useful when adding values to an enum, because it makes
GTK immediately warn about all the switch statements where this enum is
relevant.
And I expect changes to enums to be frequent during the GTK4 development
cycle.

a0b9586465 gtk: Add GtkPadController
This GdkEventController is a helper object to handle pad events,
it allows setting a mapping to action names, to be triggered in
the given action group.

In order to help on places where advanced mapping/configurability
of pad features is not desirable, this controller also allows
passing a NULL pad device, meaning it will listen on all pads,
and/or passing -1 on mode/index, so an action applies to all
modes/features (eg. strips/rings).
