Merge all "win32-msvc*" mkspecs into one Since we can tell the MSVC version from the compiler now, each of the qmake.conf files is now the same, so let's just have "win32-msvc" and be future-proof. Likewise for win32-clang-msvc. qplatformdefs.h was already common. Since we can't obtain the MSVC version from the unified mkspec name any more, I dropped the warning level during the qmake bootstrap to reduce the number of warnings that need to be disabled from compiler version to version. There is no point in keeping the old mkspecs, but configure will re-map the -platform argument to the unified spec as necessary, to keep existing configure command lines working. [ChangeLog][Visual Studio] Qt now has a common mkspec for all Visual Studio versions, called "win32-msvc". The old names which contained the version number are now gone (but qmake scopes based on the old names continue to work). The version of the compiler can be obtained from the MSC_VER and MSVC_VER variables (for example, for Visual Studio 2015, those contain the values 1900 and 14.0, respectively). Those variables are also available with the Intel compiler (win32-icc) and with Clang (win32-clang-msvc). Split cborstream feature in two Reading of Cbor streams is substantially more complicated than writing as it requires float16 support. When writing Cbor, we can just choose to always write 32bit floats, even if we could compress the numbers into 16 bits. We need Cbor writing in the bootstrap library, but we cannot easily add float16 support. Furthermore, Cbor reading is required for plugin support, but not Cbor writing. It might make sense for some users to build a custom Qt with Cbor writing disabled. Therefore, provide two features, cborstreamreader and cborstreamwriter, split up the code in cborstream.{h|cpp} into several files, and enable Cbor writing in the bootstrap library. run syncqt only for builds from git the logic in the configures was even trying to express that, only that nowadays we always ship syncqt, so the tests were kinda pointless. this frees us from the perl dependency for non-developer builds of packaged modules (except for webkit, which needs almost every scripting language on earth anyway). obviously, this requires that the packaging scripts run syncqt in the source dir before tarring up the sources. note that for repositories other than qtbase, the -version argument needs to be passed to syncqt. port qmake to qt creator's qmake language evaluator this is a monster commit which does the following things: - import the evaluator as-is from qt creator into qmake/library/ - integrate it into qmake's makefiles - overwrite proitems.h with actual special types - remove the parts of Option which are redundant with QMakeGlobals - make QMakeProperty a singleton owned by Option::globals. the dynamic handling so far made no sense. - make QMakeProject a subclass of QMakeEvaluator, with relatively few extensions the changes to existing qmake code outside project.* and option.* are minor. implementing the changes gradually would mean changing a lot of code which will be just replaced in the next commit, so i'm not wasting my time on it. Include likely-adjusted uiLanguages for the system locale QLocale::uiLanguages() on the system locale uses whatever the system locale's query(QSystemLocale::UILanguages,...) returns. On Android, this is just a list of locales. However, for non-system locales, we also include some results of removing likely sub-tags from the locale name, where equivalent. Thus zh-CN would also get zh and zh-Hans-CN added to it; however, if the system locale is zh-Hans-CN, the shorter forms are omitted. So post-process the system locale list in the same way, albeit tweaked to avoid duplicates and rearranged so that we can insert likely-adjusted entries between what they adjust and what followed it. Added QLocalePrivate::rawName() in the process, since it looks likely to be useful in other contexts (and I needed its value): it just joins such tags as are non-Any. This, however, uses QByteArrayList, so added that (it's small) to the bootstrap library and qmake. This follows up on commit 8796e3016fae1672e727e2fa4e48f671a0c667ba. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QLocale] The system locale's UI languages list now includes, as for that of an ordinary locale, the results of adding likely sub-tags from each locale name, and of removing some, where this doesn't change which locale is specified. When writing Cbor, we can just choose to always write 32bit floats, even if we could compress the numbers into 16 bits. We need Cbor writing in the bootstrap library, but we cannot easily add float16 support. Furthermore, Cbor reading is required for plugin support, but not Cbor writing. It might make sense for some users to build a custom Qt with Cbor writing disabled. build qmake.exe directly in bin/ so far, qmake.exe was built in qmake/ and then copied to bin/, with possible errors in the second step ignored. this made no sense. this unifies the nmake makefile with the unix one; compare 46e51ce1d. revert to building qmake with qconfig.cpp turns out that just appending builtin-qt.conf isn't a good idea: executable-editing tools (objcopy, prelink, etc.) will happily drop the "attachment". a safe method would be adding a proper section to the executable, but there doesn't appear to be an objcopy equivalent in msvc, and using entirely different methods of embedding the file with different toolchains seems like a rather bad idea. so instead go back to the old method of building qmake with a generated qconfig.cpp. of course, as said file is now created by qmake itself, we have to compile qlibraryinfo.cpp a second time, and link a second qmake executable. port qmake to qt creator's qmake language evaluator this is a monster commit which does the following things: - import the evaluator as-is from qt creator into qmake/library/ - integrate it into qmake's makefiles - overwrite proitems.h with actual special types - remove the parts of Option which are redundant with QMakeGlobals - make QMakeProperty a singleton owned by Option::globals. the dynamic handling so far made no sense. - make QMakeProject a subclass of QMakeEvaluator, with relatively few extensions the changes to existing qmake code outside project.* and option.* are minor. implementing the changes gradually would mean changing a lot of code which will be just replaced in the next commit, so i'm not wasting my time on it. Add JSON parsing support to qmake. Add qjson* implementation files from corelib/json to the qmake build. Add a read-only compile mode, enabled by defining QT_JSON_READONLY. Add qmake built-in function parseJson(file, into) which parses a json file into the given variable. qmake uses a flat key -> value-list implementation for storing variables, which means that some hackery is need to represent arbitrarily nested JSON.
