         tn += ">";
         ^~
  tests/auto/corelib/kernel/qmetatype/tst_qmetatype.cpp:1474:5: note: ...this ‘if’ clause, but it is not
     if (tn.endsWith('>'))
     ^~

Fix += argument from char[2] to char as a drive-by.
