3f282e8896 Adapt corelib to use QTimeZone in place of Qt::TimeSpec
This saves (mostly in corelib/time/) some complications that used to
arise from needing different code-paths for different time-specs.

64dc886db7 tst_QVariant: convert some test functions to table-driven
Most of them were easy to change. The pair one was a bit of a stretch,
but still worked. I've removed the lines on QPair, since QPair is
std::pair in Qt 6.

cf0a1c2e51 QVariant: fix comparison of enums to numerics
qIsNumericType does not return true for enum types, which meant we never
called numericCompare() or numericEquals() when one of the types was an
enum.

393d5efda3 QVariant: make a major simplification in the numeric comparison
The code implementing the C++ rules of type promotion and conversion
was too pedantic. There's no need to follow the letter of the standard,
not when we can now assume that everything is two's complement (this was
true for all architectures we supported when I wrote this code in 2014,
but wasn't required by the standard).

So we can reduce this to fewer comparisons and fewer rules, using the
size of the type, not just the type ID.

01b1155ac6 Anticipate various warnings in tst_QVariant
Various places were knowingly provoking warnings without telling QTest
to check for and suppress those warnings. Some others did check for
this warning, so let's consistently suppress the noise.

aa37e67ef7 Port from qAsConst() to std::as_const()
We've been requiring C++17 since Qt 6.0, and our qAsConst use finally
starts to bother us (QTBUG-99313), so time to port away from it
now.

Since qAsConst has exactly the same semantics as std::as_const (down
to rvalue treatment, constexpr'ness and noexcept'ness), there's really
nothing more to it than a global search-and-replace, with manual
unstaging of the actual definition and documentation in dist/,
src/corelib/doc/ and src/corelib/global/.

98e21f0979 QVariant: fix conversions of string keys to Q_ENUM that are QFlags<>
Since Qt 6.0, QMetaType stores the name obtained from the C++ compiler,
which means we know a type like Qt::Alignment by its proper, full name
of QFlags<Qt::AlignmentFlag>. However, the meta object records only the
bare name of the enumeration, not the full flags.

The new name describes the behavior in a better way.

[ChangeLog][Build System] The QT_DISABLE_DEPRECATED_BEFORE macro is
renamed to QT_DISABLE_DEPRECATED_UP_TO. The old name is deprecated, but
is still recognized if it is defined during configuration and the new
name is not defined.

27b1026139 QVariant: split the warning from customConstruct()
In one of the three calls to customConstruct() -- QVariant::detach() --
we've already checked that the type is valid, so don't re-emit the
warning there.

df0085d3a2 QVariant: do allow non-default-constructible types
So long as you only ask us to copy it. Copying is mandatory, though.

6a0e59ed50 QVariant: Avoid crash when constructed from unsuitable metatype
If the metatype does not support copy and default construction, then it
it unsuitunsuitable for use in QMetaType. We cannot prevent users from
passing in such metatypes (as we have e.g. a ctor taking QMetaType), so
verify this in customConstruct, and make the variant invalid in that
case.

fdf5d11ff6 CMake: Add BUILTIN_TESTDATA option to qt_internal_add_test
Multiple tests use qt_internal_add_resource that copies the
functionality that is already implemented inside the
qt_internal_add_test function. Simplify these test by replacing
the qt_internal_add_resource call with the new BUILTIN_TESTDATA
option.

44a7412795 Remove checks for C++ standard versions C++17 and below

9d6ba110e8 QMetaType: Store QMetaObject for pointer to const QObject, too
Before this change, the QMetaType for T const* where T is derived from
QObject would not store the static QMetaObject of T. This commit changes
this. As a consequence, the metatype system can now convert between
const and non-const pointers to QObject. Note that this allows casting
const away; but so does C++ with const_cast.
In addition, a new flag, QMetaType::IsImmutable is introduced, and used
to tag the metatypes of pointer to const types. This allows code to
discern between pointers to mutable and const QObjects, which is
relevant for the QML engine.

2d8757f879 QVariant::fromValue<T>: require T to be copy constructible
In Qt 5, QVariant::fromValue<T> would not compile unless
Q_DECLARE_METATYPE(T) was used, and Q_DECLARE_METATYPE(T) would lead to
a compile error if T were not copy constructible.
In Qt 6, we do not require Q_DECLARE_METATYPE before using fromValue,
and QMetaType itself works with non-copy constructible types just fine.
However, QVariant still requires it, thus we need to now enforce this in
fromValue itself.

ad2da2d27a Remove the qmake project files
Remove the qmake project files for most of Qt.

Leave the qmake project files for examples, because we still test those
in the CI to ensure qmake does not regress.

Also leave the qmake project files for utils and other minor parts that
lack CMake project files.

c9a1102269 Make QString and QByteArray sequentially iterable
As lists of QStrings and QByteArrays are sequentially iterable the base
types should really also be.

The only problem is that they don't have methods to remove items from
the back or the front, but that is well within what we can support with
QSequentialIterable.

0440614af0 Replace discouraged Q_MOVABLE_TYPE by Q_RELOCATABLE_TYPE
Q_MOVABLE_TYPE was conceived before C++ had move semantics. Now, with
move semantics, its name is misleading. Q_RELOCATABLE_TYPE was
introduced as a synonym to Q_MOVABLE_TYPE. Usage of Q_MOVABLE_TYPE
is discouraged now. This patch replaces all usages of Q_MOVABLE_TYPE
by Q_RELOCATABLE_TYPE in QtBase. As the two are synonymous, this
patch should have no impact on users.

The reason is that storing non relocatable types inline in
QVariants storage would implicitly make QVariant non relocatable.

37c7ef4f4a QMetaContainer: Consistently coerce types
The high-level iterable interfaces should coerce the types of most
QVariants passed to the expected ones. To do this, move the type
coercion code into qvariant.{h|cpp} so that it is available to the
QVariantRef specializations.

The exception are variants passed to the find() functions of associative
iterables. Here, we should not coerce values we cannot convert to the
default-constructed keys. Instead we return end() in such cases.

564b59d903 Another round of replacing 0 with nullptr

6892300127 QVariant: Change metatype in convert() even on failure
The documentation of convert promised that “If the cast cannot be
done, the variant is still changed to the requested type”. This was not
the case so far, because we returned too early if canConvert returned
false.
This commit changes the behavior of the method to reflect its
documentation. The documented behavior seems more useful than the
alternative of not changing the metaType, at least for common use cases
inside qtdeclarative.

848927b688 Cleanup API of QMimeData
Do not use QVariant::Type anymore, instead use QMetaType

For some reason, this pushed the qvariant autotest over the limit where
MSVC requires the /bigobj flag, so add that one.

[ChangeLog][QtCore][QMimeData] The signature of the virtual retrieveData()
function has changed and now takes a QMetaType instead of a QVariant::Type.
