Instead of using the actual compiler version to determine which C++11
features to enable, let's just use the Mirosoft compiler version that
the actual compiler is claiming compatibility with. That is because the
limiting factor is often the standard library, not the compiler itself.
This will cause some features that do not depend on the library to also
be disabled, but oh well. Better upgrade your Visual Studio version
instead.

Gcc defines neither _MIPS_ARCH_MIPS32 nor __mips32 on MIPS32
architectures, instead __mips is defined to 32.
This fix exposed bit-rot in qdrawhelper where qt_memfill32 was set as
a function pointer despite not being one since Qt4.

QHostAddress is one of the few classes in Qt which is pimpl'd but not
implictly shared, making it suprisingly expensive to copy around, return
by value and so on. Being pimpl'd it is also still lacking a move
constructor, like most of such types in Qt.
Remove a bit of the surprise factor and make it implictly shared. In
practice this means making it eagerly parse host addresses from strings.
Since it was entirely implemented out of line, replacing it with a
implictly shared implementation is binary compatible.
[ChangeLog][QtNetwork][QHostAddress] QHostAddress is now implicitly
shared.

operator== and operator!= have been disabled, as they are likely to be
misused and are not particularly useful in practice. The same goes for
the QVersionNumber conversion convenience functions.
The constructor normalizes version component values so that invalid
versions like [5, -1, 3] cannot be constructed and made to wreak havoc
on assumed logic.

So that QFlags can use an (un)signed int matching the
underlying type as identified by the compiler and not by us.
Requires fixing a few warnings about sign conversion due to
QFlags misusages in qtbase that were either plain wrong, or
were relying on the enum being backed by an (un)signed int
when it wasn't.
Keep qtypetraits.h in the source tree in order to prevent
source breaks if some downstream #includes it (note however
that it did not contain any public API).

Honor the rule of five. Copy assignment was already disabled.
Disable also copy construction, but re-enable the move special
member functions.
This requires making the container non-const; to avoid detaches
and keep compatibility with containers that only have begin/end
(but not cbegin/cend), use qAsConst. This requires moving qAsConst
definition a bit up in the file.

turns out that just appending builtin-qt.conf isn't a good idea:
executable-editing tools (objcopy, prelink, etc.) will happily drop the
"attachment".
a safe method would be adding a proper section to the executable, but
there doesn't appear to be an objcopy equivalent in msvc, and using
entirely different methods of embedding the file with different
toolchains seems like a rather bad idea.
so instead go back to the old method of building qmake with a generated
qconfig.cpp. of course, as said file is now created by qmake itself, we
have to compile qlibraryinfo.cpp a second time, and link a second qmake
executable.

We have to enable qt_safe_ftok with either sharedmemory or
systemsemaphore. In order to make the resulting QT_CONFIG work with the
bootstrap library we switch the features off for bootstrapping. Some
tests and examples have to be excluded when sharedmemory is not
available.

ISO 14443-3 is for nfc communication and uses 2 different checksums.
The existing one is from ISO 3309 and the other one is from ITU-V.41.
Both are needed to implement an own transport layer defined in ISO
14443-4 to allow nfc commands with a length above 250 byte independent
from the smartphone.
This change will avoid code duplication in QNearFieldTarget.
The private function qNfcChecksum is a copy of qChecksum.

initially, the idea was that QLibraryInfo would receive a
pre-sysrootified ExtPrefix from the builtin qt.conf. matching this
against the sysroot would then tell us whether to sysrootify the Prefix
from a "regular" qt.conf as well.
however, this would have lead to some major ugliness and inconsistency
between the code paths, so i changed my mind.
unfortunately, i failed to adjust the remaining code, leading to
169a40d51 entirely breaking sysrootification ...
the proper (and nicely consistent) solution is to introduce a
SysrootifyPrefix key to qt.conf. this is user-accessible as well, so as
a bonus it is now possible to adjust the setting at qmake installation
time. incidentally, this omission was the last thing that prevented
using the same qmake host build for any imaginable configuration of the
same qt version ... i think.

this moves us another step towards the "outer" configure doing just
minimal bootstrapping of qmake.
a challenge here was that so far, qmake itself needed qconfig.cpp. this
was replaced by usage of a qt.conf file instead of compiled-in values.
however, to make the executable still self-contained, that qt.conf is
embedded into it (by simple appending of a fixed signature and the text
file).
the qmake with the embedded qt.conf is not used for the qt build itself,
which instead relies on the qt.conf in bin/ as before. however, due to
the missing built-in values, this file now needs to contain more
information than before. but except for a minimal version that is needed
to start up qmake/configure at all, that file is now also generated with
qmake. as some of the newly set up properties are subsequently used by
configure itself, qmake gains a (deliberately undocumented) function to
reload the qt.conf after it's fully populated.
unlike the old implementations, this one doesn't emit redundant qt.conf
entries which match the hard-coded fallbacks. omitting them leads to
leaner files which are more comprehensible.

Commit c35fef9d3b wasn't sufficient. The
problem is that there's a complex combination of libc headers (math.h),
C++ headers (cmath), which may be provided by three different sources on
Linux (glibc, gcc and ICC). On some combinations, the isnan macro leaks
from math.h or cmath and that's what the the commit above tried to fix.
On some other combinations, there's no macro but there's an ::isnan
function defined. When we do "using namespace std; return isnan(x);",
that causes a compilation error. This commit solves that by detecting
whether there is a macro defined.

Introduce a glProgramBinary-based disk cache in QOpenGLShaderProgram.
By switching the typical
program->addShaderFromSourceCode(QOpenGLShader::Vertex, ...)
program->addShaderFromSourceCode(QOpenGLShader::Fragment, ...)
invocations to
program->addCacheableShaderFromSourceCode(QOpenGLShader::Vertex, ...)
program->addCacheableShaderFromSourceCode(QOpenGLShader::Fragment, ...)
the compilation may be skipped via gl(Get)ProgramBinary and a disk
cache, when supported. Such QOpenGLShaderProgram instances will have
no QOpenGLShader instances attached. Instead, the entire program
binary (which is driver-specific) is loaded as-is.
Support means OpenGL ES 3.0 or the presence of
GL_ARB_get_program_binary, in combination with >= 1 supported binary
formats. Note that some drivers claim program binary support but
expose no formats. This amounts to no support in practice.
When support is not present, calling the new functions is equivalent
to the non-cacheable variants. If the OpenGL driver changes (vendor,
renderer, version strings), recompilation and storage of the new,
potentially incompatible binary program will happen transparently.
The cache can always be disabled by setting
QT_DISABLE_SHADER_DISK_CACHE=1 or the new application attribute
Qt::AA_DisableShaderDiskCache.
Location-wise the primary choice is the shared cache
(GenericCacheLocation). If this is not available or is not writable,
the per-process one (CacheLocation) is used instead.
In addition to the new public APIs in QOpenGLShaderProgram, the main
shader users in QtGui are migrated as well. (OpenGL paint engine,
glyph cache, blitter, eglfs mouse cursor). This means that any
application using QPainter on OpenGL or widgets with eglfs will
benefit from the improved startup times. Qt Quick will follow suit as
well.
[ChangeLog][QtGui][OpenGL] QOpenGLShaderProgram offers a built-in
program binary disk cache for systems with OpenGL ES 3.x or
GL_ARB_get_program_binary. This can lead to significant increases in
performance when it comes to application startup times for
example. Usage is opt-in for direct C++ users of the class, however
Qt's own main users of shaders, including Qt Quick and QPainter's
OpenGL engine, are migrated to use the new, cache-enabled APIs.
Opting out on application level is always possible via
Qt::AA_DisableShaderDiskCache.

swap the branches for (not) reading from qt.conf, and use a state
variable instead of an 'else' for mutual exclusion. this is somewhat
more self-documenting, and allows for a saner handling of the mkspec
fallbacks (which really should have been in a separate [QMake] section
along with Host* and Sysroot, but changing that now is way too much
hassle downstream).

Remove most type traits from qtypetraits.h, but keep the custom
implementation of is_signed/is_unsigned. This gets rid of
BSD-3 licensed code from Google in a public header (hugh!).
The custom implementations for is_signed/is_unsigned are kept
because the implementations in gcc's standard headers do not
work as we expect for enums - both is_signed and is_unsigned

Define NTDDI_VERSION, just like _WIN32_WINNT, to be Windows Vista.
Usually NTDDI_VERSION is automatically set by MinGW headers to the value
that matches _WIN32_WINNT. However, for precompiled headers the inclusion
order is that _WIN32_WINNT is set _after_ the relevant MinGW header is
parsed, so this can fail.
The alternative would be to set _WIN32_WINNT via a compiler flag, e.g.
in the mkspecs.

It's nonsensical to have a variable like AndroidJellyBean which is
documented as Android versions 4.1 through 4.3 but is actually codified
as 4.1. Add separate variables for Android "maintenance releases" which
incremented both the version number and API level. "MRn" where n is an
integer is the same naming convention the Android APIs use.
The only exception to this rule is Android 4.4W (API level 20) which was
KitKat for watches. 4.4W is not a representible or comparable version
number, so for now, AndroidKitKat will identify both Android 4.4 and
4.4W (API levels 19 and 20). As Qt does not yet support Android Wear,
this is not expected to be a problem in practice.

On a discussion in the Development mailing list it became clear that
qFuzzyCompare does not work for NaN or infinity values. That was not
mentioned in the method documentation though. This patch fixes that
hiatus. It also clarifies how to deal with the comparing to 0.0
limitation.

The Qt::ISODate format strips milliseconds, so a new format is introduced
that keeps the milliseconds. A new format was chosen over fixing the
existing format due to the behavioral change of suddenly having ms
as part of Qt::ISODate.

all users of this functionality have been removed, and not emitting the
version info saves quite some noise from the generated files.
the reason why the users have been removed is that it was unreliable in
the first place: if a dependency is found without pkg-config, no version
information would be available.
the extraction of the version via pkg-config itself is kept in place, as
configure tests could be potentially optimized by utilizing it.
this reverts much of commit 48b4e0bf6f.

QSysInfo::WinVersion, QSysInfo::WindowsVersion,
QSysInfo::windowsVersion(), QSysInfo::MacVersion,

QOperatingSystemVersion exists as a more flexible replacement.

Incidentally, this means that the function will no longer include the

This class provides a "type safe" way to compare and access operating
system version numbers.
[ChangeLog][Deprecation Notice] QSysInfo::windowsVersion() and
QSysInfo::macVersion() are deprecated and are replaced by the newly
introduced QOperatingSystemVersion.

This macro expands into a static_assert and can be used to
trigger a compile error if a certain feature is not available
when trying to compile some code.
This is especially useful to protect against accidental inclusion
of headers that implement functionality related to a feature.

Add an rvalue overload of the QForeachContainer ctor to allow moving
rvalues into the internal container copy.
This does not change the semantics of Q_FOREACH. It is just an
optimization.
Port to NSDMI to minimize code duplication.
Costs ~1.3KiB across all libraries and plugins in a QtBase Linux
build (optimized GCC 6.1 AMD64).

Earlier versions of the compiler cannot default
move special member functions, even though we
also define Q_COMPILER_RVALUE_REFS for them.
Fix by retracting the less-often-used of the
two compiler feature defines.
Q_COMPILER_DEFAULT_MEMBERS is not used outside
QtBase in neither 5.6 nor 5.7 (5.8 is not
released at this time, so wasn't considered).
The same is true of the dependent macros
Q_COMPILER_DEFAULT_DELETE_MEMBERS and
Q_DECL_EQ_DEFAULT.
In QtBase, the three uses are:
1. in QAtomic*, where the user also requires
Q_COMPILER_CONSTEXPR, which is not defined
for any MSVC at this time,
2. for QEnableSharedFromThis, which is a class
template with an alternative {} implementa-
tion of the default constructor, and uncon-
ditional user-defined copy special member
functions.
3. The test of the corresponding functionality
in tst_compiler, which this commit amends.
That means that neither of these two only uses
of the macro in Qt libraries are affected by
the change.
The reason we do this change, then, is that in
the future, we want to be able to more easily
restore move special member functions for
classes for which they are suppressed due to
user-defined dtors or copy special member
functions.

enough to cover the case in a9474d1260.
DirectWrite: Fix advances being scaled to 0
Since 131eee5cd, the stretch of a font can be 0, meaning
"whatever the font provides". In combination with ec7fee96,
this would cause advances in the DirectWrite engine to be scaled to
0, causing the QRawFont test to fail.

Added a qtConfig(feature) function to qmake, and a QT_CONFIG(feature)
macro. These can safely check whether a certain compile time feature of
Qt is enabled or not.
For this to work the feature has to have a publicFeature or
privateFeature output in the configure.json file.
In pro files, please use the qtConfig(feature) test function
instead of checking contains(QT_CONFIG, feature), as the latter
will be unreliable with the upcoming modularization (it requires a
load(qt_module_config) before doing any such checks). Note that
feature names are now lowercase, and identical (except for hyphens
versus underscores currently) in the pro and c++ files.
This makes the logic easier to follow, as we avoid all double negations,
and most importantly, QT_CONFIG and qtConfig are implemented in a
way that you'll get a build error for a mistyped or non-existent
feature. This will also prevent accidental use of a widget feature
in gui in the future.
This gives us complete symmetry between the handling in pro and
c++ files.

Output the version as a define into the private config header as
a define using a hex number. Like that we can easily do version checks
on libraries using the QT_LIBRARY_VERSION(lib) and QT_VERSION_CHECK()
macros.

instead, the only relevant defines from qconfig.h (QT_VERSION*) are
passed on the command line, like we already did for qmake and
configure.exe.
this enables us to remove the early forwarding header generation from
qtbase.pro, and rely wholly on the regular mechanism from syncqt +
qt_module_headers.prf.
another advantage is that we can be sure that the bootstrapped namespace
is not polluted by the target feature configuration.

As of version 10.12 (Sierra), the name of Apple's desktop operating
system will be macOS. Change the occurrences where the Mac platform
is discussed to use a macro \macos, which expands to 'macOS'. This
helps with adapting to future renaming.
Update the instructions on mac-specific Q_OS_* macro usage.
Add a \target for the old 'Qt for OS X' topic to keep links working
for other documentation modules that try to link with the old name.

(Move QT_FORWARD_DECLARE_CG to qglobal.h)
This function converts to CGImage for supported formats. This
is done by creating a CGImageRef that reuses the QImage data.
The CGImage and QImage ref counting systems are bridged, implemented
by using CGDataProvider that holds a copy of the QImage.
Unlike the previous internal implementation this public version
does not implicitly convert unsupported formats to ARGB32_Premultiplied.

ICC supplies a math.h header that defines things like:
#define isnan( __x__ ) __IMFC99MACRO1ARG_ALL( __x__, isnan, __, f, __, , __, l)
So use the already-existing workaround for it.
Since Qt 5.7 requires C++11, we can remove the check for that.

it positively makes no sense to have a configure test which will be
never reached due to the configure/qmake bootstrap failing with a
slew of totally unhelpful error messages.
pre-standardization partial c++11 implementations are now rejected,
except for VS2013, which is still sufficient despite not announcing full
compatibility.

Whenever someone installs Clang or the Intel compiler on Windows, it's
very likely that the compiler will be much newer than the MS headers
that came with the installed Visual Studio version. So let's make sure
we disable the C++11 features that the MS headers don't support
properly.
For example, MS's <limits> header supplied with VS 2013 doesn't mark the
max() function as constexpr, resulting compiler errors in uses of that
function in Qt code declared with Q_DECL_CONSTEXPR:

There is now a DARWIN version for all four Apple platforms at once,
a MACOS_IOS version for macOS and iOS (since many of the checks we need
are prior to tvOS or watchOS's existence), and MAC and OSX have been
relegated to synonyms for MACOS_IOS and MACOS, respectively.

The new modular configuration system requires one global
header per module, that is included by all other files in
this module.
A similar scheme and naming convention is already being used
for many other modules (e.g. printsupport, qml, quick).
That header will later on #include the configuration file
for Qt Gui. For now it defines the Q_GUI_EXPORT macro for
this library.
In addition, add a private global header, qtguiglobal_p.h,
that can later on include the private config header for
Qt Gui for things we don't want to export to the world.

Q_COMPILER_CONSTEXPR can be undefined (or not defined at all) to
indicate that constexpr should not be used regardless of the compiler's
ability to support it. This is done for QNX because some C library
floating point functions used in the Dinkumware C++ library aren't
constexpr functions; i.e., the library doesn't have proper constexpr
support even though the compiler does.

On ABIs where quint64 is aligned on 8-byte boundaries (such 32-bit
Windows and all 64-bit systems), there was a padding hole of 4 bytes
between QHostAddressPrivate::a and the anonymous union. If we move the
member to after the union, there is no hole anymore.
That operation causes the tail padding to grow from 3 to 7 bytes. Since
we also don't need full 32 bits for the protocol, we can shrink the
structure by 8 bytes on those architectures and by 4 bytes on 32-bit
Unix systems.

It doesn't like the attribute there. I think it's a compiler bug, but I
can't be sure because the part of the standard dealing with the
placement of attributes and where they apply is very complex. Exercise
left for the reader to determine if ICC is correct or not to reject it
there.

If the compiler supports C++11 alignof, let's use it. No point in
perpetuating the use of __alignof__ or __alignof.
There's a fallback implementation in qglobal.h that works even without
compiler extensions. We can't drop it just yet (alignas is not a
required C++11 feature), but at this point I doubt that fallback is used
anywhere anymore.
The tst_compiler test was wrong to use alignof(variable). That's not
permitted by the standard nor would it work with our fallback
implementation. MSVC 2015 enforces this, but ICC, GCC and Clang don't.

FreeBSD's clang currently is not able to handle thread_local calls due
to linker errors on __cxa_thread_atexit. The patch disables the
define Q_COMPILER_THREAD_LOCAL for clang __FreeBSD__ only, no functional
change. Otherwise, linking the tst_compiler autotest will fail.

I'm not sure how one of my machines has this problem and the other
doesn't (same distribution and same compiler version). Must be operator
error. But this is required to compile QtGui when QtCore was compiled in
LTO mode.
qversiontagging.cpp used to be built with -fno-lto before commit
629ceec208. This commit restores that
functionality, but not the clang "-no-integrated-as" part.

Pass -xplatform macx-tvos-clang to configure to build.
Builds device and simulator by default.
Added ‘uikit’ platform with the common setup.
Also added QT_PLATFORM_UIKIT define (undocumented).
qmake config defines tvos (but not ios).
tvOS is 64bits only (QT_ARCH is arm64) and requires bitcode to be
embedded in the binary. A new ‘bitcode’ configuration was added.
For ReleaseDevice builds (which get archived and push to the store),
bitcode is actually embedded (-fembed-bitcode passed to clang). For all
other configurations, only using bitcode markers to keep file size
down (-fembed-bitcode-marker).
Build disables Widgets in qtbase, and qtscript (unsupported,
would require fixes to JavaScriptCore source code).
Qpa same as on iOS but disables device orientation, status bar, clipboard,
menus, dialogs which are not supported on tvOS.

It has been known for a long time that Q_FOREACH produces
inferior code to other looping constructs, and the use of it
in Qt library code was informally frowned upon since forever
(pun intended).
Yet, to this day, several thousand foreach/Q_FOREACH loops
have been added to Qt libraries, and while many were ported
to range-for in Qt 5.7, there are still new ones added every
day, which is a nuisance, to say the least.
This patch introduces a technical way to prevent new foreach
use to creep into Qt libraries after they have been cleaned,
by simply not defining either Q_FOREACH or foreach when the
QT_NO_FOREACH macro is defined. This way, one library at a
time can be ported away, and, once ported, is guaranteed to
actually stay ported.

ICC 15.x and 16.0 (beta, at least) are missing the "constexpr" and
"noexcept" keywords in the definition of the std::atomic
constructors. The lack of constexpr makes std::atomic a non-literal
type, which in turn makes QBasicAtomicInteger's constructor (which is
constexpr) fail to compile.

The C and C++ standards say it's undefined whether the preprocessor
supports macros that expand to defined() will operate as an ifdef.
Clang 3.9 started complaining about that fact.
One solution was to change QT_SUPPORTS to check for zero or one, which
means we need to change the #defines QT_NO_xxx to #define QT_NO_xxx 1.
The C standard says we don't need to #define to 0, as an unknown token
is interpreted as zero. However, that might produce a warning (GCC with
-Wundef), so changing the macro this way is not recommended.
Instead, we deprecate the macro and replace the uses with #ifdef/ndef.

The problem of the check is that it makes Qt non compliant with OpenGL
thread affinity semantics. One is allowed to make a GL context
current on any thread, without the Qt-specific idea of moving
the QOpenGLContext to that thread first. Moreover, the move is
plain impossible if the user needs to handle the context
to 3rd party code which assumes the context to have GL semantics.
Add an application flag to disable that.

The store to guard in the inner function's critical
section was not synchronized-with the load at the
start of the function:

mutex.lock()

guard.load()

mutex.unlock()
The use of d in T2 does not synchronize with
the write to d in T1 -> data race -> UB.
Fix by storing with release memory ordering,
so that the guard.load() in T2 synchronizes
with the guard.store() in T1.

The MSVC STL warns when passing naked pointers as non-bounded
iterators to algorithms such as std::equal and std::copy, in
an attempt to inform users that the range specified by that
iterator has an implicit minimum size that the caller of the
algorithm must ensure is met:
warning C4996: 'std::_Equal1': Function call with parameters that may be unsafe - \
this call relies on the caller to check that the passed values are correct. To \
disable this warning, use -D_SCL_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS. See documentation on how to \
use Visual C++ 'Checked Iterators'
When building Qt, as well as when building user projects with
qmake (cf. 0a76b6bc7f), we
globally disable this warning (with -D_SCL_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS),
but since we started using STL algorithms in public headers (e.g.
in qvector.h), users get this warning in their own projects now,
unless they, too, define said macro. But such a requirement is
against the Qt policy to have headers that are warning-free as
much as possible.
The suggested way of fixing this warning is to wrap the naked
pointer in a stdext::unchecked_array_iterator before passing it
to the algorithm, cf. examples in
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ttcz0bys%28v=vs.120%29.aspx
or, together with the capacity-made-explicit, in a
stdext::checked_array_iterator.
To avoid ifdefs for platforms that don't have these extensions
(which, incidentally, for the unchecked case, includes MSVC 2012),
wrap the calls in macros.
The end game here is to drop -D_SCL_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS, at least
for public headers, even though this commit also adds the wrapper
to implementation and private header files.
An alternative to the wrapper would have been the version of
std::equal that takes four iterators. However, that is a C++14
library feature, while this version of Qt still needs to compile
with a C++98 compiler, and, more importantly, there isn't, and
never will be, a corresponding 4-iterator version of std::copy.

The rationale is to be consistent with other operating systems, all of which
print a version number following their name (possibly in parenthesis if the
version is typically non-numeric as is always the case with OS X so far and
has been with Windows).
The version number printed here is only two digits, both for consistency with
OS X and because the first two digits of an operating systems's version are
typically the limit in marketing materials and general presentation.
This also fixes a bug where the returned string would be "Windows " (note the
space) in the case where the name of a future Windows version was not known.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][QSysInfo] The output of QSysInfo::prettyProductName
now includes the Windows OS/kernel version number. In case of future versions
of Windows, a valid string is now returned.

When I tested this, it compiled, but either I wasn't using the same
compiler or the problem happens during linking: we can't use .quad
(64-bit) with a relocation on x32. So instead, let's use .long (32-bit).

When automatic reference-counting (ARC) is enabled on Darwin platforms
the NSAutoReleasePool class should not be used directly, which caused a
build error if qglobal.h was included after the Foundation.h in client
code.
The preferred alternative for ARC is the scoped @autoreleasepool
construct, which allows the compiler to reason about needing to
insert _objc_autoreleasePoolPush and _objc_autoreleasePoolPop
calls.
Note that ARC translation units can be combined with non-ARC translation
units, so Qt and the QMacAutoReleasePool class can still be used in
ARC client code even if Qt is not built with ARC.

QImage::convertToFormat was ignoring its conversion flag argument, only

This is not done for other platforms (iOS or Windows) and eliminates a
maintenance burden and potential of inconsistencies with other parts of
the documentation (as illustrated by the fact that this page indicates
the wrong minimum supported version). The Supported Platforms page will
be the authoritative (and only) source of which particular versions of a
given operating system are supported.

It's urgent to fix the issue that on Android, it became impossible
to interact with any widget or MouseArea which handles only mouse
events but not tablet events, using the stylus, because stylus events
are sent only as QTabletEvents. Before 5.6 (change
01d78ba86a) they were sent as
touch events, and mouse events were synthesized from those. Whereas
on other platforms, every QTabletEvent is followed by a synthesized
QMouseEvent.
This fix proceeds in the direction that event synthesis should be done
in cross-platform code so that platform plugins don't have to repeat it,
following the same pattern as for touch->mouse synthesis. Just as
in that case, the application can disable it, and the platform plugin
can also report that it's unnecessary for Qt to do the synthesis
because the platform already does.
So QTBUG-51618 is fixed, but QTBUG-47007 requires us to remove the
tablet->mouse synthesis from all platform plugins, because the plugin
does not know whether the tablet event was accepted or not, so it does
not have enough information to decide whether to synthesize a mouse
event. Synthesis has been unconditional until now, which contradicts
what the documentation says: the mouse event should be sent only if
the tablet event is NOT accepted. We can now gradually make this
promise come true.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][Tablet support] A synthetic mouse event will
no longer be sent after every QTabletEvent, only after those which are
not accepted (as documented).

This might be useful for IDE or other tools to be made aware of Qt macros.
This is inspired to what QtCreator[1] and moc-ng[2] does. But they are forced
to redefine or inject code at precise location which might be difficult.
This is going to make it easier to use libclang in qdoc.
With this change, the tooling can just predefine the macro QT_ANNOTATE_FUNCTION
and QT_ANNOTATE_CLASS to get what they need.

The previous implementation overwrote multiple 'time' parts in the
qSetMessagePattern with the last setting in the pattern line.
%{time}%{time process}%{time boot} ended up to be output as if
%{time boot}%{time boot}%{time boot} was set.
This fix keeps the arguments of each individual 'time' part.
The same holds for multiple 'backtrace' parts. The previouse
implementation overwrote multiple 'backtrace' arguments with the
arguments of the last occurrence.
This fix keeps the individual arguments for the 'process' parts.
The individual arguments are applied in qFormatLogMessage.
A new test to verify the individual 'time' arguments application
is added, too.

This reverts d5fde51410 and makes
that enum value the default for QWheelEvent::phase() with non
phase-aware mice.
[ChangeLog][QtGui] QWheelEvent::phase() returns NoScrollPhase with

Define WINVER, _WIN32_WINNT as 0x501 (Windows XP) in qt_windows.h.
Remove definitions of the same/lower versions and unneeded
definitions in other places. Remove definition for Borland compiler.

With the introduction of QtInfoMsg in commit ef6279fd we also changed
the mapping of Qt to slog2 levels: QtInfoMsg now ends up as SLOG2_DEBUG1,
instead of SLOG2_INFO. Anyhow, we didn't change the default buffer
verbosity level accordingly.

Not all Windows compilers (e.g. MinGW 4.9.2) have WINAPI_FAMILY_PC_APP
defined in their headers and report build failures in several
Qt modules including QtActiveQt. This is fixed by defining the needed
values before they are used.
