b1a882f178 Fix drawCachedGlyphs on RGBA8888
drawCachedGlyphs draws with the wrong color on RGBA8888. The issue
is that the draw routines bitmapblit_quint32 and alphamapblit_quint32
while safe to use on rgba formats, needs to have the input color
converted.

This patch adds small wrapper functions for bitmapblit and alphamapblit
that converts the formats. Two tests are extended to ensure we have
test coverage.

e1fd82981c Revert "Fix application font removal when using FontConfig"
This reverts commit a4ff400e25.
The patch caused a regression for bold fonts which is currently
blocking the alpha of Qt 5.3, so lets revert it and try
resubmitting a fixed version later to avoid delaying any release.

d641792ff2 Fix QFontMetrics width
Commit f4dd534 introduced a regression, so that QFontMetrics reported
a wrong size (to be more specific width) for FreeType fonts.
The calculation of glyph advances has to to reflect (rounded)
integral number of pixels. This was only done when the glyph was cached.
So in some cases the first call to QFontMetrics::size gave a different
result than the second.
This patch reverts f4dd5344fb.

The tst_QFontMetrics::same auto test only happened to work on some
platforms, on BlackBerry for instance it did not. Extended the test
case to make sure it works for different font sizes.

35579f6fe7 Support empty inline elements in block tags in QTextDocument
This fixes the following case:

<blockquote>
<span />Foobar
</blockquote>

Qt would see the end of <span>, and consider the current block
tag as closed, thus resetting the block format, thus losing the
margin set for the current block (due to blockquote).

If you do

<blockquote>
<span>Foo</span>Foobar
</blockquote>

instead, then the same would not happen, since hasBlock is set
to false when we append text to the current inline node.

[ChangeLog][QTextDocument] Add support for empty inline elements
in block tags.

...and thus consume 4 bytes less per glyph and increase the performance a bit.
It seems, the only CTFontGetAdvancesForGlyphs() returns both x and y

orientation and x advances are always equal to 0 for vertical orientation.

Also, rename `advances_x` to `advances` for consistency
and declare QGlyphLayout's data size in a single place.

a4ff400e25 Fix application font removal when using FontConfig
This patch fixes an issue when a font that was added with QFontDatabase::addApplicationFont
can not be removed any more.
The reason for that is that QFontconfigDatabase::addApplicationFont adds the font to the FontConfig
application set from where it cannot be removed any more and is picked up every time the font database is
repopulated (e.g. after a call to QFontDatabase::removeApplicationFont).

This also fixes the QFontDatabase autotest which unfortunately does not fail on linux, because it tries
to add "FreeMono" (which in most cases is already there as a system font). So this patch removes FreeMono and adds
LED_REAL as test font.

3745b0ca12 Fix application font population on OS X
This patch fixes two issues that prevented the application font related tests
of tst_QFontDatabase from passing:

* The code for creating the font descriptor after the registration of an app font
  with file name using CTFontDescriptorCreateWithAttributes must create a dictionary
  with kCTFontURLAttribute as key and the CFURLRef pointing to the on-disk file as
  value. Unfortunately the code mixed up keys and values in the dictionary.

* Registration of app fonts within QFontDatabase itself on Windows and Fontconfig
  platforms works by QFontDatabase calling addApplicationFont on the platform db
  after calling populateFontDatabase(). It assumes that addApplicationFont on the
  platform db is capable of registering the font right away. This part was also
  missing from the Mac implementation and this patch implements it by moving the
  common registration code from a CTFontDescriptorRef out into a separate method,
  called from populateFontDatabase() as well as addApplicationFont().

83c9d22d44 Remove dependency on QPlatformSupport in fontdatabase test
If you include a static library in the test, all symbols will
be duplicated, and this can cause nasty crashes because global
static data is also duplicated. This happened on Linux because
of a global static cache in the font engine where the two instances
of it would get out of sync, and we would reference invalid
data.

To test QPlatformSupport features, a QPlatformSupport test which
does not load any platform plugin (or uses its own platform plugin
which does not load QPlatformSupport) is needed. For now, I will
just revert adding the test, since it is broken and was added
as part of supporting Windows CE:

248ccb2889 Fix possible crash in QTextDocument
With trailing spaces in some cases, we would not get the
"no justification at end of paragraph" special case, and continue
in the code, getting the unexpected case where line_length becomes
< 0 which would lead to memory corruption because we were writing
outside our buffers. I added an assert to catch this type of bug
earlier, and I added the trailing spaces to the test for the end
of the paragraph.

The test case added is one example which would crash.

43325a23f3 Delete the QVariant ctors taking global Qt enum values.
They have unexpected results in Qt 5 (the Qt::GlobalColor one works
as expected in Qt 4, but was removed in Qt 5):

 QVariant v = QVariant(Qt::red);
 qDebug() << v; // QVariant(int, 7)
 v = Qt::red;
 qDebug() << v; // QVariant(int, 7)

The correct way is to use:

 QVariant v = QVariant::fromValue(QColor(Qt::red));

The deleted constructors are the ones for which there is a class
with an implicit constructor taking the enum, and that class is
a built-in metatype.

QLocale::Language and QKeySequence::StandardKey would also fit
the description, but I can't include the header for QKeySequence
as it is in QtGui, and I don't want to include the qlocale header
in qvariant.h. Putting a QLocale::Language is probably very
uncommon anyway.

The QTextFormat test is doing the wrong thing, but the result isn't
being tested. Added new tests which fail before the patch.

101d04681f Handle additional format ranges when itemizing.
This is useful when the additional formats are used on a
text layout using a raw font. It can also come in handy for
input methods operating on a QTextDocument.
We now consider all format range edges to generate the
associated items. The capitalization can be overridden via
the additionnal formats mechanism.

Adds an autotest that checks that this works with font capitalization.

ceb9a8232c A step out from Harfbuzz (reduce dependency)
Introduce QCharAttributes and use it instead of HB_CharAttributes everywhere in Qt
(in Harfbuzz, the HB_CharAttributes is only used in the text segmentation algorithm
which has been moved from HB to Qt (well, most of it)).
Rename some members to better reflect their meaning,
remember to keep HB_CharAttributes in sync with QCharAttributes.
Also replace HB_ScriptItem with a (temporary) QUnicodeTools::ScriptItem struct
that will be replaced with a more efficient/friendly solution a bit later.

The soft hyphen and the mandatory break detection has been factored out
of the default text breaking algorithm to a higher level in order to refactor
the QCharAttributes bitfields and to optimize the implementation for the common case.

f94d0ea1dc Fix crash when column is inserted before rowspanned cell
When you're inserting a column in front of a rowspanned cell
and this cell is not the first in the rowspan, we would get
the wrong logical index of the new cell (putting it in
front of the initial cell with the rowspan). If the cell
does not span all rows, the table will get into a broken state
and trigger asserts in update(). To fix this, we search for
the first cell after the insertion point which has a logical
index higher than the cell directly before the insertion point.

2d5d6c8fbc Color transparency support in html import/export
Export of color transparency component is added for cases where color
is exported to html. New static function colorValue() is added to
prepare CSS string representation of QColor. When the color is opaque,
it falls down to QColor::name() method which was used previously,
otherwise it returns 'rgba()' CSS statement or 'transparent' keyword in
case transparency is 0.
6-digit precision is used for alpha value as it's maximum which can be
processed properly by Gecko and Webkit engines
(http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2009Dec/0295.html).

Import part for rgba() statement was also added to QCssParser. It
supports rgba() color values as stated in CSS Color Module Level 3
(http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-color/#rgba-color).

Import of undocumented statement 'rgba(int,int,int,int);' was also
added to preserve regression test success and to provide compatibility
with previous code relying on this behaviour.

Test cases added to QCssParser autotest for rgba(int,int,int,float)
statement and to QTextDocument autotest for rgba(int,int,int,float)
and 'transparent' statements for certain 'color', 'background-color'
and 'bgcolor' properties.

d64cb5f707 Update the Unicode Text Breaking Algorithm implementation
to make it conformant to the Unicode 6.1 specifications #14 and #29.

The most important changes are:
* The implementation has been reworked from scratch to fix all known bugs;
* Separate-out the grapheme and the line breaking implementation to eliminate
  an overhead due to calculating unnecessary breaks;
* Stop using deprecated SG class in favor of resolving pairs of surrogates;
* A proper support for SMP code points;
* Support for extended grapheme clusters (a drop-in replacement for the legacy
  grapheme clusters as of Unicode 5.1);
* The hardcoded tailoring of UBA has been eliminated which breaks the 7 years-old
  lineBreaking test. Some later, we'll investigate if such a tailoring is still needed.

88e735c9c9 Shift positions for lineBreakType
to keep them consistent with positions for all other flags.
This changes the internal behavior so that attributes[0].lineBreakType now means
"break opportunity at start of the text (before the first character in the string)"
and is always assigned with HB_NoBreak to conform rule LB2
(see http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr14/#LB2).

The current implementation is based on the sample implementation from tr14
that aimed to be as simple as possible rather than to be optimal.
From now, we can use pieces of the attributes array "as is"
without having to adjust some positions. Or we can analize some long text
by chunks (e.g. paragraph by paragraph) and consume less memory.

This introduces a minor overhead that will be eliminated shortly.

QTextLine::cursorToX returned the line width for cursor positions
outside the width of a wrapped right to left line because the
leading space width was always calculated as 0.

Returning a non-zero width for the leading space does cause
problems for other uses of QTextEngine::alignLine() though
as the textAdvance already doesn't include the leading/trailing

785e95ef0a Harfbuzz-thai: Hide ZWJ and ZWNJ characters and show Inherited characters
Thai is not supposed to have ZWJ and ZWNJ characters or any other of the
Inherited Unicode Scripts
(http://www.verisigninc.com/assets/idn-inherited-unicode-script.pdf)
- they don't have a mapping to the thai encoding tis620 which libthai
requires. However it is an unfortunate fact that there are many websites
etc that liberally place these ZWJ and ZWNJ characters throughout thai text
to force word boundaries, so we must also deal with them.

We deal with all Inherited characters by mapping them to the invalid code ~0
in tis620 encoding, following what libthai does internally in its own tis620
encoding functions, and then replacing this character with the original
unicode and setting dontPrint to true to hide the ZWJ and ZWNJ
characters.

Includes a unit test to check the behaviour.

isolated SARA AM. This patch fixed it and added detailed explaination
on the special case.

The dotted circle should be shown rather than hidden.

Add an test case to verify that with Waree.

8b4e40f535 Support adding application fonts with QFontconfigDatabase
QFontDatabaseQPA should be able to reinitialize database and
reregister all the fonts when an application font is added, because
it will trigger db->invalidate().

Add cloneWithSize support to QFontEngineBox so that even no usable
font is found in QFontDatabase, QRawFont::setPixelSize can still
work (without making the result rawfont invalid).

Register application fonts with QFontconfigDatabase, the code is
adapted from QFontDatabaseX11.

Reenable QRawFont tests for QPA, these usages are now supported in
QPA.

Fix QStaticText tests, raster in QPA does support transformations.

831a160e00 Disabled tests for refactor->master integration
This change disables failing tests to increase the
likelihood that 'make check' terminates with a zero
exit status. This is done to prevent the CI system
from blocking further commits once qtbase#refactor
is merged into qtbase#master.

Failing tests are marked as insignificant (by putting
'CONFIG += insignificant_test' in the .pro file).

Note: This is a temporary measure that needs to be cleaned up
once the refactor->master integration is complete.
Ideally all disabled tests need to be enabled and passing.
All changes will be marked by the string QTBUG-21402 in a comment
for easy location.
