d554fa6fdc Add unit tests for cleaning up nested functions
I think supporting them now is too complex for the Qt code. We would
probably need to rewrite the parser using a tokenizer so we can find the
right name of the function. Just skipping backwards breaks the support
for returning function pointers and PMFs.

e35841e374 Fix endianness part of QSysInfo::buildAbi() string
Both Q_LITTLE_ENDIAN and Q_BIG_ENDIAN macros are always defined
on all architectures. So, byte order detection results in
"little_endian" value for big endian systems. Test the system
endianness in a right way, according to Q_BYTE_ORDER macro
documentation.

This commit adds tests for ref-qualified member functions, the new

__PRETTY_FUNCTION__ for lambdas varies wildly between compilers and will
produce really bizarre results after cleanup. It's not tested and is
known to be broken.

e968793e81 Add qFormatLogMessage()
Export the former qMessageFormatString() as qFormatLogMessage(). This
allows custom message handlers to format their messages just like the
default message handler, taking qSetMessagePattern() /
QT_MESSAGE_PATTERN into account.

The method should arguably not add the '\n' at the end, which a follow
up commit will fix.

d953d9a4c3 Add a more reliable replacement for qt_add/removeObject().
These hooks only worked reliably with LD_PRELOAD on Linux/GCC, on other
platforms they depended on what exactly the compiler optimizer is doing
as well as some nasty assembler rewriting to actually access them. The
new system uses a simple array of function pointers that can be set to
custom hooks by tools that need this (based on ideas from Andre Poenitz).

This also covers qt_startup_hook (similar problem), and the Qt version
number that Andre had asked for.

ecfbb4e441 tst_QFlags: make constExpr() check compile on clang trunk
The problem is the verifyConstExpr<>() line involving the ~ operator.

The result as an integer is a value that can no longer be represented
in an int. This is known at compile time and thus template deduction,
which only has an int to match against, fails.

To fix, use an unsigned int as the first template argument of
verifyConstExpr<>().

Clang's error message for this is really sub-optimal, cf.

e37001aad7 Say hello to qFloatDistance()
This function is useful if a floating point comparison requires a
certain precision. The return value can be considered as the precision.
For instance, if you want to compare two 32-bit floating point values
and all you need is a 24-bit precision, you can use this function like
this:
if (qFloatDistance(a,b) < (1 << 7)) {   // The last 7 bits are not
                                        // significant
    // precise enough

50d3a2917e Fix Q_GLOBAL_STATIC support for exceptions
The problem was that the HolderBase destructor was getting called after
the contained type's constructor threw an exception, as is required by
RAII semantics (the base was fully initialized, so it had to be
destroyed). That was required because we want to return a non-null
pointer from operator() during destruction and return null after
destruction, to keep compatibility with Qt 4.

The solution is to only set the guard to Destroyed only if it is already
at value Initialized. This way, if the HolderBase destructor is run as
part of the stack unwinding, it knows that the construction did not
complete.

123ce761c0 QT_MESSAGE_OUTPUT: add support for condition depending on the type
The motivation is to enable coloration the way KDE currently does.
It can now be achieved with a QT_MESSAGE_OUTPUT set to
"%{appname}(%{category}) \033[31m%{if-debug}\033[34m%{endif}%{function}\033[0m: %{message}"

I was thinking about supporting directly color using something like
%{begin-category-color} that would be smart and detect if we are running
on a terminal, but it would be less flexible in the way the colors van
be configured.

Changelog: QT_MESSAGE_OUTPUT can contain conditionals based on the type
of the message

574e5cf9c5 Add qunsetenv(), next to qputenv() and friends.
The existing tst_qgetputenv shows that qputenv with an empty value
doesn't lead to the same result on Windows and on Unix, and there was
no way to fully delete an env var on Unix (which is needed for some
env vars where not-set and empty are different, such as TZ,
see `man tzset`).
This is also why qglobal has qEnvironmentVariableIsSet() vs
qEnvironmentVariableIsEmpty(), on the getter side.

Qt4's ifdefs around unsetenv in qapplication_x11.cpp show that this is
needed within Qt too (although this particular startup notification code
has to be re-imported into Qt5 still).

09dd19df5c Do not consider sign in qIsNull.
The current implementation of qIsNull only returns true if the value is
positive zero. This behaviour is not useful for use cases like
QPointF::isNull, where QPointF(-0, -0).isNull() will return false.
There doesn't seem to be a reason why the function exhibits this
behaviour (-0.0 is not accounted for in the unit tests), and for the
case of QSizeF::scale it causes a bug: qIsNull is used to check for
division by 0.0 before it proceeds, which fails in the case of -0.0.

fa08b143f3 QtGlobal: (new) qEnvironmentVariableIs{Set,Empty}()
These functions are a faster version of {,!}qgetenv().is{Null,Empty}(),
a common pattern in Qt code.

Their main advantage is that they don't need to allocate memory, so
they can be used in noexcept functions, or dynamic initialisation of
namespace-scope statics, because throwing in these contexts invokes
std::terminate().

672b5b7ab6 Set the Qt API level to compatibility mode in all tests.
Qt 5.0 beta requires changing the default to the 5.0 API, disabling
the deprecated code. However, tests should test (and often do) the
compatibility API too, so turn it back on.

bcf20e122a Avoid load(testcase) for installing test helper apps
Make test projects declare TEST_HELPER_INSTALLS rather than calling a
function exported by testcase.prf. load(testcase) may be unsafe, as
testcase.prf should be processed after default_post.prf.

Fixes silent disabling of various autotests.
