We kept the CodeMap filled with entries between profiles, even in
kLazyLogging mode which will re-fill the CodeMap when profiling starts
again. See the bug for more details.
This fix manually clears the CodeMap after the last profile is deleted.
We already call DisableLogging() when the last profile is stopped. At
this point we still need the CodeMap alive because the profile object
we expose via the API is backed by the CodeEntry objects in the CodeMap.
Once the last profile is deleted though, we can empty the CodeMap.
There is still another bug, which is that we never delete CodeEntry
objects for deleted code, as there are no CodeDeleteEvents from the GC.
We will work on that separately, but this fix should stop those leaks
accumulating between profiles as we wipe the CodeMap entirely between
profiles (at least for kLazyLogging mode). kEagerLogging mode still has
this problem and will only be fixed by introducing CodeDelete events or
similar.

Rename it to Symbolizer because it does exactly that.
Change the SymbolizeTickSample method to return the symbolized state
rather than pass it on to the ProfilesCollection. This makes it easier
to test as now it only relies on the CodeMap provided to it.
Make EntryForVMState a free-floating function as it doesn't rely on
state and then we can avoid importing the StateTag definition in the
header.
Remove the UNREACHABLE from EntryForVMState as the compiler got smarter
and doesn't need it anymore.
Pass the CpuProfilesCollection to SamplingEventsProcessor instead,
as it is now responsible for putting the symbolized samples into the
collection to be sorted into the appropriate profiles.

forbidden in the style guide, and v8 does not explicitly make an
exception here.
This CL re-enables that warning, and fixes all current violations by
adding an explicit "NOLINT(runtime/references)" comment. In follow-up

Our {Vector} template provides both {start} and {begin} methods. They
return exactly the same value. Since the {begin} method is needed for
iteration, and is also what standard containers provide, this CL
switches all uses of the {start} method to use {begin} instead.
Patchset 1 was auto-generated by using this clang AST matcher:
callExpr(
callee(
cxxMethodDecl(
hasName("start"),
ofClass(hasName("v8::internal::Vector")))
),
argumentCountIs(0))
Patchset 2 was created by running clang-format. Patchset 3 then
removes the now unused {Vector::start} method.

Previously we used the start address of the AbstractCode object. This
doesn't make sense for off-heap builtins, where the code isn't contained
in the object itself. It also hides other potential problems - sometimes
the sample.pc is inside the AbstractCode object header - this is
never valid.
There were a few changes necessary to make this happen:
- Change the interface of CodeMoveEvent. Now 'to' and 'from' are both
AbstractCode objects, which is nice because many users were taking
'to' and adding the header offset to it to try and find the
instruction start address. This isn't valid for off-heap builtins.
- Fix a bug in CodeMap::MoveCode where we didn't update the CodeEntry
object to reflect the new instruction_start.
- Rename the 'start' field in all of the CodeEventRecord sub-classes
to make it clear that this is the address of the first instruction.
- Fix the confusion in RecordTickSample between 'tos' and 'pc' which
caused pc_offset to be calculated incorrectly.

The current profiling mode (called kLeafNodeLineNumbers in this CL)
produces a tree, with each node representing a stack frame that is seen
in one or more samples taken during profiling. These nodes refer to a
particular function in a stack trace, but not to a particular line or
callsite within that function.
This CL adds a new more (called kCallerLineNumbers) which produces a
different profile tree, where each stack trace seen during profiling,
including the line number, has a unique path in the tree.
The profile tree was previously keyed on CodeEntry*. Now it is keyed on
the pair of CodeEntry* and line_number, meaning it has distinct nodes
for those combinations which exist, and each distinct stack trace that
was sampled is represented in the tree.
For optimized code where we have inline frames, there are no line
numbers for the inline frames in the stack trace, causing duplicate
branches in the tree with kNoLineNumberInfo as the reported line number.
This will be addressed in follow-ups.

Currently ProfilerListener holds all the CodeEntries it ever
created during the profiling session. It is not capable of removing
entries corresponding to the code objects discarded by GC as there's
no such code event.
However it is sometimes possible to tell if a code object was GCed.
Hook up to the CodeMap code entry removal and if the entry has never
been hit by a sample we can safely delete it.
As a bonus the CodeEntryInfo size has been reduced on x64, which also
saves 8 x <number of code entries> bytes.

The "Address" type is V8's general-purpose type for manipulating memory
addresses. Per the C++ spec, pointer arithmetic and pointer comparisons
are undefined behavior except within the same array; since we generally
don't operate within a C++ array, our general-purpose type shouldn't be
a pointer type.

Remove comment about usage of FATAL, UNREACHABLE and UNIMPLEMENTED,
which was deprecated since https://crrev.com/1410713006.
Also, refactor the FATAL macro and use it for implementing UNREACHABLE
and UNIMPLEMENTED, and in more code. The benefit over printf +
CHECK(false) is that the compiler knows that FATAL will never return.

New code should use nullptr instead of NULL.
This patch updates existing use of NULL to nullptr where applicable,
making the code base more consistent.

By adding a per test source file namespace, we can avoid a lot of
symbol collisions in jumbo builds.
While we're at it, let's remove some "using" statements that also
cause trouble.

As part of J2V8 development (https://github.com/eclipsesource/J2V8),
we realized that we had a subtle bug in how Isolate scope was created
and it's lifetime managed, see:
https://github.com/eclipsesource/J2V8/issues/313.
Mentioned above bug was fixed, however, what we also noticed is that
V8 API has been constantly and slowly moving to such an API, in which
one has to pass Isolate explicitly to methods and/or constructors. We
found two more places that might have been overlooked. This contribution
adds passing of Isolate pointer explicitly to constructors of
String::Utf8Value and String::Value classes.
