e608acf40a heap: Migrate young GC cycle UMA metrics
Report young generation GC statistics to the Recorder API.
These will be used by Blink to populate UMA histograms.
Existing UMA reporting in V8 remains as is for now and will be removed
in a followup.

With this CL, minor mark-compaction statistics are reported as part
of V8.GC.Cycle.*.Young. Also V8.GCScavengeReason is migrated to
V8.GC.Cycle.Reason.Young.

This CL goes together with:

This CL changes the meaning of RelocInfo::CODE_TARGET which now expects

In order to reduce code churn this CL makes BUILTIN_CODE and friends
return CodeT instead of Code. In the follow-up CLs BUILTIN_CODET and
friends will be removed.

7f121b4f93 [local-isolate] Move worker RCS scope into LocalIsolate
Rather than requiring the user of a LocalIsolate to pass in a
RuntimeCallStats from a WorkerThreadRuntimeCallStatsScope, create the
scope in the LocalIsolate directly and use its RuntimeCallStats in the
LocalIsolate constructor.

We can't do this for the main thread LocalIsolate, since
WorkerThreadRuntimeCallStatsScope doesn't work on the main thread, so
there we use the main-thread RuntimeCallStats instead.

This flushes out some issues of background-thread LocalIsolates being
used on the main thread, so fix those too, as well as RCS scopes using
background counters for operations that could happen on the main thread.

f0c982b8d1 [counters] Make all counters thread-safe
D8 shares counters across isolates, so even if they are only updated
from the main thread, they need to be thread-safe.
This CL removes the distinction between {StatsCounter} and
{StatsCounterThreadSafe}, and just makes all {StatsCounter} use (cheap)
atomic operations for counter updates. This will make previously
thread-safe counters cheaper, because no Mutex is involved. It might
make previously not-thread-safe counters slightly more expensive, but
it's not expected to be a significant regression.

5ab1ec1e06 [compiler-dispatcher] Enqueue tasks for non-eager inner funcs
Add suppose for compiling non-eager, non-top-level inner functions in
parallel, using the compiler dispatcher. This behaviour can be enabled
with --parallel-compile-tasks-for-lazy.

There are a couple of consequences:

  * To support this we need support for off-thread ScopeInfo
deserialization, so this adds that too.
  * The previous --parallel-compile-tasks flag is renamed to the more
    descriptive --parallel-compile-tasks-for-eager-toplevel.
  * Both parallel-compile-tasks flags are moved onto
UnoptimizedCompileFlags so that they can be enabled/disabled on a
per-compile basis (e.g. enabled for streaming, disabled for
    re-parsing).
  * asm.js compilations can now happen without an active Context (in
the compiler dispatcher's idle finalization) so we can't get a
ContextId for metric reporting; we'd need to somehow fix this if we
wanted asm.js UKM but for now it's probably fine.
  * Took the opportunity to clean up some of the "can preparse" logic in
    the parser.

5c47acfcae heap: Create counter histograms lazily
Until now, histograms associated with isolate counters were created
at the time of isolate initialization. This is too early because it
happens before persistent memory is configured. Histograms created
before persistent memory is set up are retrieved periodically but
infrequently and are not "flushed" on process termination. As a result,
a lot of samples from V8 are lost.

This CL implements lazy creation of counter histograms, the first time
that they are used.

fa8345df52 [heap] SafepointScope needs GCs to be allowed
A SafepointScope might need to block for a shared GC initiated from
another client isolate. This means that anytime we create a
SafepointScope a shared GC may run. This CL adds a DCHECK to ensure
AllowGarbageCollected::IsAllowed() holds for each SafepointScope.

So far this DCHECK was only run in the less likely event that a
SafepointScope actually runs a shared GC. Which is technically good
enough but it is easy to miss use cases of SafepointScope where this
does not hold.

6b2fa4c12b [compiler] Post compile tasks from ignition instead of the parser
Posting compile tasks from the parser has several issues:

  1. We don't know how many functions there will be total, so we can't
yet allocate shared_function_infos array on the Script
  2. Without this array, inner function compiles can't look up their own
inner functions during bytecode finalization, so we can't run that
     finalization before script parse completes
  3. Scope analysis can't have run yet, so we can only post top-level
function tasks and if we allocate SharedFunctionInfos early they
are forced into a bit of a limbo state without an outer ScopeInfo.

Instead, we can post compile tasks during bytecode generation. Then, the
script parse is guaranteed to have completed, so we'll have a
shared_function_infos array and we will have allocated ScopeInfos
already. This also opens the door for posting tasks for compiling more
inner functions than just top-level, as well as generating better code
for functions/methods that reference same-script top-level
let/const/class.

- Introduce v8::ScriptCompiler::CompileFunction
- Deprecate v8::ScriptCompiler::CompileFunctionInContext
- Add v8::Function::GetUnboundScript
- Add v8::Script::GetResourceName

The ScriptOrModule out-parameter is only used by NodeJS since we don't
allow arbitrary objects has host-defined options and they need a way to
keep the options alive.

This CL deprecates the out-parameter and adds helper methods to
address the most common use-cases.

The final fix still requires more fundamental changes on how host-defined
options are handled.

b101e0bbe9 Record caged memory allocation outcomes into UMA
Attempts to allocate memory pages inside the virtual memory cage are
currently allowed to fall back to allocating them outside of the cage if
necessary. When this will be forbidden in the future, these cases will
turn into allocation failures. To estimate the frequency of such events,
we now record the outcome of allocation attempts for memory inside the
cage into UMA.

787bec0964 [sparkplug] Remove BaselineData, use Code directly
Remove the BaselineData intermediate structure for baseline code, and
write the baseline Code object into the SharedFunctionInfo directly. We
still need a pointer to the BytecodeArray/InterpreterData, so re-use the
Code object's deoptimization data slot for this (baseline code doesn't
have deoptimization data).

A consequence of this is that the BytecodeArray pointer becomes
immutable when there is baseline code. This means that we cannot install
a debug BytecodeArray while baseline code is active (we have to flush it
first), and we can't tier-up code with debug BytecodeArray to baseline.

d1b27019d3 [include] Split out v8.h
This moves every single class/function out of include/v8.h into a
separate header in include/, which v8.h then includes so that
externally nothing appears to have changed.

Every include of v8.h from inside v8 has been changed to a more
fine-grained include.

Previously inline functions defined at the bottom of v8.h would call
private non-inline functions in the V8 class. Since that class is now
in v8-initialization.h and is rarely included (as that would create
dependency cycles), this is not possible and so those methods have been
moved out of the V8 class into the namespace v8::api_internal.

None of the previous files in include/ now #include v8.h, which means
if embedders were relying on this transitive dependency then it will
give compile failures.

v8-inspector.h does depend on v8-scripts.h for the time being to ensure
that Chrome continue to compile but that change will be reverted once
those transitive #includes in chrome are changed to include it directly.

Given that this was used mostly for an experiment to analyse chrome's
performance, we can use pprof support as a replacement.

a197c9355c [wasm] Add histograms for huge function compilation
This adds dedicated histograms for measuring the memory consumption and
compilation time for compiling "huge functions". Those are functions
with a body of more than 100kB. They are a *very* small fraction of all
functions (<0.01% according to current data), but their compile time is
often unproportionally large. Since they would just disappear in the
overall histograms, this CL adds dedicated histograms to make the
compile time and memory consumption of those functions more visible.

f688fe086f Reland "[counters] Fix reentrant timers for V8.Execute"
This is a reland of fffcbaea55

Additional fixes:
- Relax IsStarted DCHECKs in ElapsedTimer for paused_elapsed
- Add LogEventStatus enum in the API for better testing
- Rename Logger::StartEnd enum values to kXXX
- Add additional NestedTimedHistogramScope tests

Original change's description:
> [counters] Fix reentrant timers for V8.Execute
>
> This CL fixes a long standing issue where reentering TimedHistograms
> scopes would cause spurious measurements. Only the non-nested scopes
> yielded correct results.
>
> Due to the changed numbers, the V8.Execute histogram is renamed to
> V8.ExecuteMicroSeconds. Note that this histogram is also guarded
> behind the --slow-histograms flag due to the additional overhead.
>
> Unlike before, it does no longer include time for external callbacks
> and only measures self time. The following example illustrates the
> new behaviour:
>
> 1. Enter V8: |--+.......+--| self-time: 4 units (reported)
> 2. Exit V8 (callback): |-+...+-| self-time: 2 units (ignored)
> 3. Re-enter V8: |---| self-time: 3 units (reported)
>
> This would result in 2 histogram entries with 4 time units for the first
> V8 slice and 3 units for the nested part. Note that the callback time
> itself is ignored.
>
> This CL attempts to clean up how TimedHistograms work:
> - Histogram: the base class
> - TimedHistograms: used for time-related histograms that are not nested
> - NestedTimeHistograms: Extends TimedHistograms and is used for nested
> histograms
>
> This CL changes Histograms to not measure time themselves. Measurements
> happen in the *HistogramScopes:
> - BaseTimedHistogramScope: Base functionality
> - TimedHistogramScope: For non-nested measurements
> - NestedTimedHistogramScope: For nested measurements
> - PauseNestedTimedHistogramScope: Ignore time during a given scope.
> This is used to pause timers during callbacks.
>
> Additional changes:
> - ExternalCallbackScope now contains a PauseNestedTimedHistogramScope
> and always sets VMState<EXTERNAL>
