0a0fe8fb8b [builtins] Unify most of the remaining Math builtins.
Import fdlibm versions of acos, acosh, asin and asinh, which are more
precise and produce the same result across platforms (we were using
libm versions for asin and acos so far, where both speed and precision
depended on the operating system so far). Introduce appropriate TurboFan
operators for these functions and use them both for inlining and for the
generic builtin.

Also migrate the Math.imul and Math.fround builtins to TurboFan builtins
to ensure that their behavior is always exactly the same as the inlined
TurboFan version (i.e. C++ truncation semantics for double to float
don't necessarily meet the JavaScript semantics).

For completeness, also migrate Math.sign, which can even get some nice
love in TurboFan.

Drive-by-fix: Some alpha-sorting on the Math related functions, and
cleanup the list of Math intrinsics that we have to export via the
native context currently.

54ce1935b5 [intl] Clean up function name handling in AddBoundMethod
AddBoundMethod, in i18n.js, returns functions all of which share the
same backing SharedFunctionInfo, which means that its calls to
InstallGetter were causing all such functions to have a single name
(that of the last caller, "get breakType").

This patch skips calling InstallGetter and instead directly calls
%DefineGetterPropertyUnchecked, which itself sets the name property
on the JSFunction instance (it knows how to do this in order to handle
getters that have computed property names).

Also takes care of a TODO having to do with the inner boundMethod:
its name is now made empty, by using a new macro that gets around
ES2015's function name inference.

Finally, removes a redundant %FunctionRemovePrototype: arrow functions
have no prototypes to begin with.

f772c22cd1 Amends the TypedArray constructor to use the path for primitives for all

(The missing cases were null and Symbol.) This is required by the
specification, and there are test262 tests which we were failing due to
this bug.

09720349ea Amend DataView, ArrayBuffer, and TypedArray methods to use ToIndex.
The spec was modified to relax some requirements which implementors had not been
enforcing. Part of this process involved introducing a new abstract operation
ToIndex, which had partial overlap with our existing semantics as well as some
differences (most notably treating undefined as 0). Test262 tests were introduced to
check for the new semantics, some of which we were failing. This patch amends the
parts of our implementation corresponding to specification algorithms which use
ToIndex to follow its semantics precisely.

f96be554b9 Fix order of conversions in String.prototype.substr.
The start argument must be converted to an integer before the length argument is
converted. (Consequently, the start argument is converted even when the length
is 0.) This matters because conversion is observable.

Also rewrite the function in a way that closely resembles the spec text.

Introduce a new machine operator Float64Pow that for now is backed by

Also migrate the Math.pow builtin itself to a TurboFan builtin and

9f2a18b729 TypedArray.prototype.set uses internal length property, not real one.
TypedArrays store their true length in an internal slot. This is
normally reflected in the .length property, but that property is
configurable. Algorithms which need the length of a typed array are to
use the internal slot, not the property; TypedArray.prototype.set was
not doing this.

7877ddecdb [builtins] Make sure the Math functions and constants agree.
While the EcmaScript specification doesn't define precise values for the
Math constants or the Math functions, we should at least ensure that the
values of the constants and the functions agree, i.e. Math.E should be
exactly the same value as Math.exp(1).

Also make sure that Math.exp(1) returns the expected value; we should
revisit the fdlibm algorithm and figure out why it's wrong in the last
bit.

3c927e07b0 Revert "Revert of [builtins] Properly optimize TypedArray/DataView accessors. (patchset #3 id:40001 of https://codereview.chromium.org/2042013003/ )"
This reverts commit d3a43e47dd.

This patch also adds typed_array_fun and typed_array_protoype to the
native context. These are used in InstallTypedArray to set up the
prototype chain correctly for each typed array sub class. This removes
the need to later monkey patch them prototype chain in typedarray.js.
This mechanism is also used to get hold of the TypedArray in
typedarray.js, removing the need for a global TypedArray.

This patch updates CallRuntime.golden to account for the two extra
native runtime calls. This patch also fixes some formatting issues (by
running git cl format).

1ef7370265 [builtins] Properly optimize TypedArray/DataView accessors.
The following getters were moved to the TypedArray/DataView prototype
chain with ES2015, and hence need different treatment now:

- DataView.prototype.buffer
- DataView.prototype.byteLength
- DataView.prototype.byteOffset
- TypedArray.prototype.buffer
- TypedArray.prototype.byteLength
- TypedArray.prototype.byteOffset
- TypedArray.prototype.length

Instead of having special magic on the LoadIC in the IC system and the
optimizing compilers, as we used to do before (and which we got rid of
already), we just treat those as normal accessors and make them
recognizable via the BuiltinFunctionId mechanism. This allows us to
remove some of the additional magic from the IC subsystem, and just
extend the BuiltinFunctionId mechanism in Crankshaft slightly to cover
these cases too (TurboFan doesn't yet support accessors, but that will
be fixed soonish anyways).

This addresses most of the 15-20% regression we saw on the Octane
GameBoy emulator benchmark.

41c875a69e Promises: Short circuit promise resolution procedure
When |ResolvePromise| is resolved with a promise that is
already fulfilled or resolved, we can short circuit the
promise resolution procedure by directly looking up the
result from the promise. We save creating two closures, enqueuing in
the promise queue, and running through PromiseThen.

This patch uses IsPromise to check if the |resolution| object is a native
promise and also checks if |resolution.then| hasn't been monkey
patched.

This patch adds some redundant code from PromiseThen like setting
the promiseHasHandlerSymbol and calling PromiseRevokeReject call,
which would've been taken care of by PromiseThen in the old code path.

This patch results in a 13.8% improvement(over 5 runs) in the bluebird
benchmarks.

df4f8a2b9e Promises: Make PromiseSet operation monomorphic
The PromiseSet operation is called with two types of promises
1) A newly created promise object with no properties
2) Promise object with callbacks and other properties

PromiseSet is called with the first type of promise (with no
properties) from multiple call sites. PromiseSet is called with the
second type of promise object only from FulfillPromise. Furthermore,
this call only sets the value and status of the promise, the rest of
the values are reset to UNDEFINED (which isn't necessary).

This patch inlines the calls to set the value and status of the
promise in FulfillPromise, instead of calling out to PromiseSet.

This patch also reduces the number of symbol lookups, as we only set
the value and status of the promise, and don't change the callback or
deferred symbols.

This patch results in a performance improvement of 2.8% over 5 runs in
the bluebird benchmark.

8c31bd81f2 [builtins] Rewrite uri.js as builtin functions.
Rewrite decodeURI and decodeURIComponent as builtin functions
and install them in the bootstrapper.

Delete unused runtime functions:
 - TruncateString

Add regression test for decoding large strings. Clusterfuzz detected
a problem with %TruncateString, see

This is automatically fixed by this rewrite because %TruncateString

Crude benchmark on 585 decodeURI and decodeURIComponent tests
averaged over five runs:

* builtin functions

* JS functions calling into the runtime e.g., for %TruncateString

1d4fe00287 Promises: Lazily create arrays to store resolve, reject callbacks
For the common use case of having a single resolve or reject callback,
the callbacks are stored directly. Only when an additional callback is
registered, we create an array to store these callbacks.

There are 3 possible states for the resolve, reject symbols when we add
a new callback --
1) UNDEFINED -- This is the zero state where there is no callback
registered. When we see this state, we directly attach the callbacks to
the symbol.
2) !IS_ARRAY -- There is a single callback directly attached to the
symbols. We need to create a new array to store additional callbacks.
3) IS_ARRAY -- There are multiple callbacks already registered,
therefore we can just push the new callback to the existing array.

Also, this change creates a new symbol for storing the deferred objects.
Previously the deferred objects were stored in the callback arrays, but
since we no longer create arrays for the initial case, we need this new
symbol. The cctest has been updated to account for this new symbol.

This patch results in a 19% improvement(over 5 runs) in the bluebird benchmark.

9eb320ad10 Promises: Make debug calls only when debugging
Previously, certain calls to DebugPushPromise and DebugPopPromise
happened always, without any check to see if we were in a debugging
environment. This patch adds a conditional check before making these
debug calls to make sure they aren't called when not needed.

Before the patch, running --prof over the bluebird benchmarks,
brings up these unprotected debug calls --
ticks cpp total name
16    6.7%    2.0%  v8::internal::Runtime_DebugPushPromise(int, v8::internal::Object**, v8::internal::Isolate*)
7    2.9%    0.9%  v8::internal::Runtime_DebugPopPromise(int, v8::internal::Object**, v8::internal::Isolate*)

b348d47bb9 Use ICU case conversion/transliterator for case conversion
When I18N is enabled, use ICU's case conversion API and transliteration
API [1] to implement String.prototype.to{Upper,Lower}Case and
String.prototype.toLocale{Upper,Lower}Case.

* ICU-based case conversion was implemented in runtime-i18n.cc/i18n.js
* The above 4 functions are overridden with those in i18n.js when
--icu_case_mapping flag is turned on. To control the override by the flag,
  they're overriden in icu-case-mapping.js

Previously, toLocale{U,L}Case just called to{U,L}Case so that they didn't
support locale-sensitive case conversion for Turkic languages (az, tr),
Greek (el) and Lithuanian (lt).

Before ICU APIs for the most general case are called, a fast-path for Latin-1
is tried. It's taken from Blink and adopted as necessary. This fast path
is always tried for to{U,L}Case. For toLocale{U,L}Case, it's only taken
when a locale (explicitly specified or default) is not in {az, el, lt, tr}.

With these changes, a build with --icu_case_mapping=true passes a bunch
of tests in test262/intl402/Strings/* and intl/* that failed before.

Handling of pure ASCII strings (aligned at word boundary) are not as fast
as Unibrow's implementation that uses word-by-word case conversion. OTOH,
Latin-1 input handling is faster than Unibrow. General Unicode input
handling is slower but more accurate.

See https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KJCJxKc1FxFXjwmYqABS0_2cNdPetvnd8gY8_HGSbrg/edit?usp=sharing for the benchmark.

This CL started with http://crrev.com/1544023002#ps200001 by littledan@,
but has changed significantly since.

[1] See why transliteration API is needed for uppercasing in Greek.

a4cd1eef0a [wasm] Make wasm info available on the stack trace
This changes different locations to extract the reference to the wasm
object and the function index from the stack trace, and make it
available through all the APIs which process stack traces.
The javascript CallSite object now has the new methods isWasm(),
getWasmObject() and getWasmFunctionIndex(); the byte offset is
available via getPosition().

Function names of wasm frames should be fully functional with this
commit, position information works reliably for calls, but not for
traps like unreachable or out-of-bounds accesses.

10b5febe11 [Atomics] code stubs for atomic operations
* New atomic code stubs for x64, ia32, arm, arm64
* Add convenience functions JumpIfNotValidSmiValue, JumpIfUintNotValidSmiValue
to macro-assembler-ia32 (API based on x64 macro assembler)
* Remove runtime implementation of Atomics.load, the code stub should always be
  called instead
* Add new test to mjsunit atomics test; check that Smi values of different
sizes are supported when possible, else fall back to HeapNumbers

These changes were needed to add another codestub:
* Bump kStubMajorKeyBits from 7 to 8
* Reduce ScriptContextFieldStub::kSlotIndexBits from 13 to 12

4edf16ddd9 Fix treatment of rest pattern in array destructuring.
When seeing a rest pattern, we used to get the remaining elements from the
iterator by calling %concat_iterable_to_array on it. This was wrong because it
caused an observable [[Get]] for @@iterator (which the iterator may not even
provide).

This CL gets rid of the call to %concat_iterable_to_array and does the iteration
manually in a simple while-loop. It also gets rid of %concat_iterable_to_array
itself because there aren't any other uses of it.

8d20f2fe37 [builtins] Make Math.ceil, Math.trunc and Math.round optimizable.
Migrate Math.ceil, Math.round and Math.trunc to TurboFan code stubs,
similar to what we did with Math.floor, and make these builtins properly
optimizable in TurboFan via appropriate simplified operators NumberCeil,
NumberRound and NumberTrunc, which are intended to be reusable for
ToInteger and ToLength optimizations that will be done in a followup CL.

Also allows us to kill the funky %RoundNumber runtime function, which
was quite heavy.

Improve test coverage for Math.ceil and Math.trunc a lot, especially
making sure that we also properly trigger the TurboFan builtin reducer

360586f2f9 Add fast paths for native RegExps in ES2015 subclass-aware code
This patch adds fast paths for @@replace and @@split that call into
the old, side-effect free (and faster) versions of those builtin
operations when possible (roughly, when the receiver is a RegExp
and the 'exec' method is untampered). Also add some micro-optimizations
that further improve performance.

Taken altogether, this takes us from a ~70% regression on the Octane
RegExp benchmark to a ~9% regression.

The test262.status lines for RegExps has been reorganized to make it
clearer the status of individual tests. More work will likely be
required to increase spec compliance before the --harmony-regexp-exec
flag is shipped; some of that work is happening on the spec side.

80803aa89e Remove RegExp.prototype.source getter compat workaround
The getter RegExp.prototype.source is specified in ES2015 to throw when
called on a non-RegExp instance, such as RegExp.prototype. We had previously
put in a compatibility workaround for all RegExp getters to make them
throw on access specifically with RegExp.prototype as the receiver; however,

92a571e546 Add ES2015 RegExp full subclassing semantics behind a flag
This patch implements ES2015 RegExp subclassing semantics, namely the
hardest part where RegExp.prototype.exec and certain flag getters can
be overridden in order to provide different behavior. This change is
hidden behind a new flag, --harmony-regexp-exec. The flag guards the
behavior by installing entirely different implementations of the
methods which follow the new semantics.

Preliminary performance tests show a 3-4x regression in the Octane
RegExp benchmark. The new code doesn't call out into several fast
paths that the old code supported, so this is expected.

The patch is tested mostly by test262, where most RegExp tests are fixed,
with the exception of deliberate spec violations for web compatibility,
and for the 'sticky' flag, which is not dynamically read by this patch
in all cases but rather statically compiled into the RegExp. The latter
will require a follow-on patch to implement. A small additional set of
tests verifies one particular case, mostly to check whether the flag
mechanism works.

lastIndex throw when the property is non-writable, and test262
tests enforce this behavior. This patch puts that file in strict
mode.

e99d292909 Base the right RegExp brand checks on Symbol.match
The ES2015 specification requires that String.prototype.startsWith,
String.prototype.endsWith and String.prototype.includes use the IsRegExp
internal algorithm to determine whether to throw a TypeError to prevent
a RegExp from being accidentally cast to a String for those methods.
That internal algorithm checks the presence/truthiness of Symbol.match
to make its determination. This patch switches the builtins to use
this correct test, rather than checking for the [[RegExpMatcher]]
internal slot as the builtins previously did.

2fa1c88442 Implement TypedArray(typedarray) constructor
The ES2016 draft spec defines a sort of fast path for constructing
a TypedArray based on another TypedArray. This patch implements that
alternative path in TypedArray construction. It is verified by
test262 tests, which now pass. This patch also has a slight cleanup
of TypedArray code by using a macro for TypedArray type checks, as
is done for other types.

This patch includes a minor spec violation: In the same-type case, the
spec indicates that the underlying ArrayBuffer should be copied until
the end, and this is fixed up by making the [[ArrayLength]] shorter.
This is observable with the buffer getter. This patch just copies the
used part of the underlying ArrayBuffer.

88d7c59c45 Reland of Make Intl install properties more like how other builtins do (patchset #1 id:1 of https://codereview.chromium.org/1733293003/ )
This reland fixes a bug by pulling properties off the utils object, so
that it can be garbage collected in nosnap builds.
Original commit message:

Intl has been somewhat of an oddball for how it integrates with V8.
One aspect is that it largely didn't use utils to install itself
into the snapshot, which led to some missing names, which new
test262 tests check for, and duplicated code. This patch brings
Intl a bit closer to how the rest of the builtins do things, though
not entirely as it is currently structured to do unusual things,
such as creating new constructors from JavaScript rather than C++.
New test262 tests check for some of the names that are added in
this patch.

The %Apply runtime entry is basically a super-slow, less correct version

The Intl object used to keep around functions which are bound to the

instead stores those methods in private symbol properties, so they are
not exposed to users. A search in GitHub didn't find any uses of

other V8 Intl features), so I think this should be fine in terms of
web compatibility.

A recent ES2016 draft spec clarification indicates that, if -0 is
passed into Array.prototype.indexOf or Array.prototype.lastIndexOf

that result, which is consistent with what some other browsers

cdec6d2bc5 Return undefined from RegExp.prototype.compile
This was changed to match Annex B.2.5.1 of ES2015 and Firefox in
https://chromium.googlesource.com/v8/v8/+/469d9bfa, but website
breakage was seen in M49 Beta. JSC still returns undefined here.

3b1211ac2f [fullcodegen] Remove the hacky %_FastOneByteArrayJoin intrinsic.
This intrinsic was only supported in fullcodegen, and is actually no
longer relevant for SunSpider peak performance it seems, so let's get
rid of it and maybe just implement Array.prototype.join with a fast
path at some point instead.

defcc64244 Use a for-of loop in Array.from
If Array.from is passed an iterable, then it will copy the contents
to the newly created Array (or subclass). The iteration protocol here
includes calling IteratorClose if the loop is exited early due to an
exception thrown. This patch converts Array.from to use a for-of loop
rather than explicitly invoking the iteration protocol so that, when
IteratorClose is invoked on early for-of exit, then Array.from will
call IteratorClose in the appropriate case.
