08377af957 [crankshaft] No need to rely on the @@hasInstance protector.
In Crankshaft we can actually do an abstract interpretation of the
@@hasInstance lookup when optimizing instanceof and then use the
normal machinery to protect the result instead of relying on the
global @@hasInstance protector cell for optimizations.

This recovers the 100x performance drop in Node.js v7 reported in
https://github.com/nodejs/node/issues/9634. This patch should be
easily back-mergable to Node.js v7.

Avoid using the iterator for arrays with fast elements where the iterator has
not been modified.

Only deals with the case where there is a single spread argument.

Improves the six-speed "spread" benchmark to 1.5x slower than baseline es5 implementation, compared to 19x slower previously.

86d0dd362f [builtins] implement Array.prototype[@@iterator] in TFJ builtins
Implements the variations of CreateArrayIterator() in TFJ builtins
(ArrayPrototypeValues, ArrayPrototypeEntries and ArrayPrototypeKeys), and
provides two new Object types with numerous maps which identify certain
behaviours, which will be useful for inlining.

Removes src/js/array-iterator.js entirely

Also adds support for printing Symbol literals inserted by the Parser during
desugaring when FLAG_print_builtin_ast is set to true.

f60a7c4f61 [regexp] Turn last match info into a simple FixedArray
Now that all accesses to the last match info are in C++ and TF code, we can
finally turn the last match info into a FixedArray. Similar to the ArrayList,
it uses its first field to store its length and grows dynamically in amortized
O(1) time.

Unlike previously, this means that the last match info pointer stored on the
context can actually change (in case the FixedArray needs to grow).

427242326c Reland: [modules] Properly initialize declared variables.
Before evaluating a module, all variables declared at the top-level
in _any_ of the modules in the dependency graph must be initialized.
This is observable because a module A can access a variable imported
from module B (e.g. a function) at a point when module B's body hasn't
been evaluated yet.

We achieve this by implementing modules internally as generators with
two states (not initialized, initialized).

This ports RegExp.prototype.exec to a TurboFan builtin.

LastMatchInfo is now stored on the context in order to be able to access

Unmodified RegExp instances go through a fast path of accessing the
lastIndex property as an in-object field, while modified instances call
into runtime for lastIndex loads and stores.

Octane/regexp shows slight improvements (between 0 and 5%) with this CL.

22606f0c29 Enable component builds for fuzzers
V8 is collecting a growing amount of fuzzers, all of which take substantial
space on the bots and in chromium build archives. This CL improves that
situation by allowing component (shared library) builds for almost all fuzzers.

The parser fuzzer is handled as an exception since it would require exporting a
large number of additional functions.

A component build results in about a 50-100x improvement in file size for each
fuzzer (~50M-100M to around 1.1M).

f296dad962 Improve stack traces for async functions
This patch tracks the stack of async functions differently from other
Promise async stack tracking. With this patch, the stack trace of a
callstack of async functions should look similarly to the call stack
if all of the functions were synchronous. An example can be found in
the updated test expectations: https://codereview.chromium.org/2362923002 .

The new stack traces are implemented using existing mechanisms in the
inspector. The inspector has two ways to save async stack traces: recurring
and non-recurring stacks. An example of a non-recurring stack is setTimeout,
and a recurring one is saved for setInterval. Recurring stacks are deleted
only when a special "cancel" function is called, rather than being deleted
after being used the first time. Previous Promise async stack tracking always
used non-recurring stacks.

For async functions, this patch saves a recurring stack. The top frame of
the stack is duplicated, as the resuming function contains a similar frame;
the devtools frontend is responsible for removing or marking this frame,
which it can do based on seeing the [async function] line which follows it.
The second frame will instead be provided by the resuming execution
context. The recurring stack is saved when the async function is entered, and
it is deleted from a finally block. The id of the stack is saved in the outer
Promise being constructed by the async function. When an intermediate
throwaway Promise will be triggered as a reaction, it will be identified as
such based on its debugging metadata, and the corresponding async function's
recurring stack will be used.

5386c0062d Desugar async/await to create the resulting Promise upfront
As part of the work to implement catch prediction for async functions,
the resulting Promise that is the output of the function needs to be
available earlier for a couple reasons:
- To be able to do %DebugPushPromise/%DebugPopPromise over the body
  of the async function
- To be able to pass the resulting promise into AsyncFunctionAwait
in order to set up the dependency chains

This patch creates the Promise earlier and pushes it onto the debug
stack; a later patch will set up the dependency chain. Although the
debug stack is set up, it's not anticipated that this will change
the catch prediction helpfully yet, as everything will still likely
be predicted as 'caught' for now, as before.

83b63c308a Sloppy eval declarations should not shadow lexical function declarations
This was being allowed due to the use of BindingFlags instead of VariableMode
to determine whether a looked-up binding was lexical. Because function
declarations are hoisted, they never need hole checks, and so were being
miscategorized as non-lexical.

This patch augments Context::Lookup with a VariableMode out param, which
allows this check to determine precisely whether the binding is lexical.

0a0fe8fb8b [builtins] Unify most of the remaining Math builtins.
Import fdlibm versions of acos, acosh, asin and asinh, which are more
precise and produce the same result across platforms (we were using
libm versions for asin and acos so far, where both speed and precision
depended on the operating system so far). Introduce appropriate TurboFan
operators for these functions and use them both for inlining and for the
generic builtin.

Also migrate the Math.imul and Math.fround builtins to TurboFan builtins
to ensure that their behavior is always exactly the same as the inlined
TurboFan version (i.e. C++ truncation semantics for double to float
don't necessarily meet the JavaScript semantics).

For completeness, also migrate Math.sign, which can even get some nice
love in TurboFan.

Drive-by-fix: Some alpha-sorting on the Math related functions, and
cleanup the list of Math intrinsics that we have to export via the
native context currently.

386c747b8a Upgrade Wasm JS API, step 1
Implements:
- WebAssembly object,

Also, changes ErrorThrower to support capturing errors in a promise reject.

Since we cannot yet compile without fixing the Wasm memory, and cannot validate a module without compiling, the Module constructor and compile method don't do anything yet but checking that their argument is a suitable BufferSource. Instead of a compiled module, the hidden state of a Module object currently is just that buffer.

3c927e07b0 Revert "Revert of [builtins] Properly optimize TypedArray/DataView accessors. (patchset #3 id:40001 of https://codereview.chromium.org/2042013003/ )"
This reverts commit d3a43e47dd.

This patch also adds typed_array_fun and typed_array_protoype to the
native context. These are used in InstallTypedArray to set up the
prototype chain correctly for each typed array sub class. This removes
the need to later monkey patch them prototype chain in typedarray.js.
This mechanism is also used to get hold of the TypedArray in
typedarray.js, removing the need for a global TypedArray.

This patch updates CallRuntime.golden to account for the two extra
native runtime calls. This patch also fixes some formatting issues (by
running git cl format).

d33aedb7b9 Revert "Fix TypedArray Property optimizations", add regression test and eliminate dead code
This reverts commit 41d571dfe8.

Reason for revert: This patch breaks the correctness of the typedarray
properties such as length, byteOffset, byteLength.

The accessor check optimization code is dead code eliminated. A follow
up patch will fix this optimization correctly.

59546149c6 Remove all non-function-name uses of CONST_LEGACY
Now that all 'const' declarations are of the ES2015 variety, the only
use of CONST_LEGACY is for function name bindings in sloppy mode
named function expressions.

This patch aims to delete all code meant to handle other cases, which
mostly had to do with hole initialization/hole checks. Since function
name bindings are initialized at entry to a function, it's impossible
to ever observe one in an uninitialized state.

To simplify the patch further, it removes the `IMPORT` VariableMode,
as it's not likely to be needed (IMPORT is identical to CONST for
the purpose of VariableMode).

4edf16ddd9 Fix treatment of rest pattern in array destructuring.
When seeing a rest pattern, we used to get the remaining elements from the
iterator by calling %concat_iterable_to_array on it. This was wrong because it
caused an observable [[Get]] for @@iterator (which the iterator may not even
provide).

This CL gets rid of the call to %concat_iterable_to_array and does the iteration
manually in a simple while-loop. It also gets rid of %concat_iterable_to_array
itself because there aren't any other uses of it.

da213b6e37 [api] Make ObjectTemplate::SetNativeDataProperty() work even if the ObjectTemplate does not have a constructor.
Previously ObjectTemplate::New() logic relied on the fact that all the accessor properties are already installed in the initial map of the function object of the constructor FunctionTemplate.
When the FunctionTemplate were instantiated the accessors of the instance templates from the whole inheritance chain were accumulated and added to the initial map.
ObjectTemplate::SetSetAccessor() used to explicitly ensure that the ObjectTemplate has a constructor and therefore an initial map to add all accessors to.

The new approach is to add all the accessors and data properties to the object exactly when the ObjectTemplate is instantiated. In order to keep it fast we now cache the object boilerplates in the Isolate::template_instantiations_cache (the former function_cache), so the object creation turns to be a deep copying of the boilerplate object.

835b038331 [debugger] correctly find function context.
In the debugger we are interested in getting the context for the
current frame, which is usually a function context. To do that,
we used to call Context::declaration_context, which may also
return a block context. This is wrong and can lead to crashes.
Instead, we now use a newly introduced Context::closure_context,
which skips block contexts. This works fine for the debugger,
since we have other means to find and materialize block contexts.

1596b015ff [proxies] Support proxies in JSON.parse and JSON.stringify.
This CL tries to correctly support the following:
- stringifying a proxy,
- stringifying with a proxy as replacer (callable or arraylike),
- stringifying with a replacer that returns a proxy,
- parsing with a callable proxy as reviver,
- parsing with a reviver that inserts proxies into the object,
- and whatever else you can imagine.

This also fixes some bugs observable without proxies.

5964152c8f [contexts] Place the initial JSArray maps on the native context directly.
No need to have an indirection to get to the initial JSArray maps from
the native context; we only cache the fast elements maps anyway, so
those could live on the native context directly. This will also
integrate nicely with the load/store propagation in TurboFan (once we
propagate the immutable flag for FieldAccess as well).

Drive-by-fix: Also don't embed any of the initial JSArray maps in
TurboFan generated code when allocating a new JSArray, but instead
always load the appropriate map from the native context. This way
we ensure that we never leak a reference to one of those maps and
its as efficient as embedding a constant map.

Previously, name conflicts between var and let declarations were only
made into exceptions if they were visible at parse-time. This patch adds
runtime checks so that sloppy-mode direct eval can't introduce conflicting
var declarations. The change is implemented by traversing the scope chain
when a direct eval introduces a var declaration to look for conflicting
let declarations, up to the function boundary.

Also replace the TO_NUMBER_INLINE macro with TO_NUMBER,

Also finally remove the DefaultString/DefaultNumber builtins, which
are basically the ES5 version of ToPrimitive. Now all code uses the

8fe3ac0701 [es6] Introduce spec compliant IsConstructor.
There was already a bit on the Map named "function with prototype",
which basically meant that the Map was a map for a JSFunction that could
be used as a constructor. Now this CL generalizes that bit to
IsConstructor, which says that whatever (Heap)Object you are looking at
can be used as a constructor (i.e. the bit is also set for bound
functions that can be used as constructors and proxies that have a
[[Construct]] internal method).

This way we have a single chokepoint for IsConstructor checking, which
allows us to get rid of the various ways in which we tried to guess
whether something could be used as a constructor or not.

Drive-by-fix: Renamed IsConstructor on FunctionKind to
IsClassConstructor to resolve the weird name clash, and the
IsClassConstructor name also matches the spec.

17f598782d [builtins] Re-add similar String wrapper optimization for StringAdd.
For string wrappers (JSValue instances with [[StringData]] internal
fields), we can shortcirciut the ToPrimitive if

  (a) the {input} map matches the initial map of the String function,
  (b) the {input} [[Prototype]] is the unmodified %StringPrototype% (i.e.
no one monkey-patched toString, @@toPrimitive or valueOf), and
  (c) the %ObjectPrototype% (i.e. the [[Prototype]] of the
%StringPrototype%) is also unmodified, that is no one sneaked a
      @@toPrimitive into the %ObjectPrototype%.

If all these assumptions hold, we can just take the [[StringData]] value
and return it.

This just repairs a regression introduced by removing the
weird (and broken) intrinsic %_IsStringWrapperSafeForDefaultValue, which
was intendend to something similar to this, although less efficient and
wrong in the presence of @@toPrimitive. Long-term we might want to move
into the direction of having a ToPrimitiveStub that can do common cases
while staying in JavaScript land (i.e. not going to C++).

e56f265f6d [ic] Also collect known map for relational comparison.
Previously we only collected the known map for equality comparisons. But
if we also collect it for relational comparisons, we can inline a fast
path of ToPrimitive on the objects, which is especially interesting
since both sides have the same map.

For now we only inline a very limited subset of ToPrimitive in
Crankshaft, which is when the receiver map (and its prototype chain)
doesn't have @@toPrimitive, and both valueOf and toString are the
default versions on the %ObjectPrototype%. In this case the relational
comparison would reduce to a string comparison of "[object CLASS]" with
itself and so we can reduce that to a boolean constant plus map checks
on both left and right hand side, plus code dependencies on the
prototype chain. This repairs the regression on box2d.

These builtins present an optimization for the general addition case,

622fa0ea21 [stubs] Simplify the non-function case of CallConstructStub.
Currently we do this dance between the CallConstructStub, the
CALL_* builtins and the %GetConstructorDelegate, %GetProxyTrap,
and %Apply runtime functions for every [[Construct]] operation on
non-function callables. This is complexity is unnecessary, and can
be simplified to work without any JS builtin. This will also make it
a lot easier to implement ES6 compliant [[Construct]] for proxies.

Also sanitize the invariant for CallConstructStub, which up until now
always restored the context itself, but that force us to always create
another copy of all arguments in case of proxies and other callables,
so we can relax that constraint by making the caller restore the context
(this only affects fullcodegen, since the optimizing compilers already
properly restore the context anyway).

f6c6d713b4 [es6] Implement spec compliant ToPrimitive in the runtime.
This is the first step towards a spec compliant ToPrimitive

Symbol.prototype[@@toPrimitive] and Date.prototype[@@toPrimitive]

There are now runtime functions for %ToPrimitive, %ToNumber and
%ToString, which do the right thing and should be used as fallbacks
instead of the hairy runtime.js implementations. I will do the
same for the other conversion operations mentioned by the spec in
follow up CLs. Once everything is in place we can look into
optimizing things further, so that we don't always call into the
runtime.

Also fixed Date.prototype.toJSON to be spec compliant.

365fd7bc35 [es6] Parameter scopes for sloppy eval
This CL is a nightmare! For the utterly irrelevant edge case of a sloppy function with non-simple parameters and a call to direct eval, like here,

  let x = 1;
  function f(g = () => x) {
    var y
    eval("var x = 2")
    return g() + x  // f() = 3
  }

we have to do all of the following, on top of the declaration block ("varblock") contexts we already introduce around the body:

- Introduce the ability for varblock contexts to have both a ScopeInfo and an extension object (e.g., the body varblock in the example will contain both a static var y and a dynamic var x). No other scope needs that. Since there are no context slots left, a special new struct is introduced that pairs up scope info and extension object.

- When declaring lookup slots in the runtime, this new struct is allocated in the case where an extension object has to be added to a block scope (at which point the block's extension slot still contains a plain ScopeInfo).

- While at it, introduce some abstraction to access context extension slots in a more controlled manner, in order to keep special-casing to a minimum.

- Make sure that even empty varblock contexts do not get optimised away when they contain a sloppy eval, so that they can host the potential extension object.

- Extend dynamic search for declaration contexts (used by sloppy direct eval) to recognize varblock contexts.

- In the parser, if a function has a sloppy direct eval, introduce an additional varblock scope around each non-simple (desugared) parameter, as required by the spec to contain possible dynamic var bindings.

- In the pattern rewriter, add the ability to hoist the named variables the pattern declares to an outer scope. That is required because the actual destructuring has to be evaluated inside the protecting varblock scope, but the bindings that the desugaring introduces are in the outer scope.

- ScopeInfos need to save the information whether a block is a varblock, to make sloppy eval calls work correctly that deserialise them as part of the scope chain.

- Add the ability to materialize block scopes with extension objects in the debugger. Likewise, enable setting extension variables in block scopes via the debugger interface.

- While at it, refactor and unify some respective code in the debugger.

Sorry, this CL is large. I could try to split it up, but everything is rather entangled.

@mstarzinger: Please review the changes to contexts.
@yangguo: Please have a look at the debugger stuff.

There is only one use case for it: String.prototype.search converts a

4fc6f54724 [stubs] Unify (and optimize) implementation of ToObject.
This is the initial (big) step towards a more uniform implementation of
the ToObject abstract operation (ES6 7.1.13), where we have a fallback
implementation in JSReceiver::ToObject() and a fast (hydrogen) CodeStub
to deal with the fast case (we should be able to do more cleanup on this
in a followup CL). For natives we expose the abstract operation via a
%_ToObject intrinsic, also exposed via a macro TO_OBJECT, that unifies
the previous confusion with TO_OBJECT_INLINE, ToObject, TO_OBJECT,
$toObject and %$toObject. Now the whole implementation of the abstract
operation is context independent, meaning we don't need any magic in the
builtins object nor the native context.

a1475dae5d Create a internal native context used only for TF-generated code stubs
Until now, TF-generated code stubs piggy-backed off of the builtin
context. Since generation of code stubs is lazy, stubs generated at
different times in different native contexts would contain embedded
pointers different builtin contexts, leading to cross-context references
and memory leaks.

After this CL, all TF-generated code stubs are generated inside a
internal thinned-out, native context that lives solely for the
purpose of hosting generated code stubs.

df47224028 Expose Map/Set methods through the API
Map: get, set, has, delete, clear
Set: add, has, delete, clear

All except clear are implemented as calls into collection.js.

Note that some of these shadow methods of v8::Object. It's unclear
how confusing that's going to be: on the one hand, it seems likely
that most operations you would want to do on a Map or Set are these.
On the other, generic code could get confused if it somehow gets
ahold of a variable that happens to be C++-typed as a v8::Map or v8::Set.

dd4cd1fe90 Fix Map/Set creation via the API with nosnap build
The Map and Set maps get overwritten when collection.js executes, so in
a nosnap build we have to wait until it runs before we grab the maps.

cb07b8ef1a Add {Map,Set}::FromArray to the API
These are similar to the Map/Set constructors when called with an array,
except that they are guaranteed to be side-effect free if called with
a packed array.

This will be useful in implementing structured clone which, as
specified in HTML, speaks in terms of the internal [[MapData]]
and [[SetData]] slots without going through the exposed iteration
ES semantics.
