520b025f72 Remove SFI code field
Remove the SharedFunctionInfo code field, inferring the code object
from the function_data field instead. In some cases, the function_data
field can now hold a Code object (e.g. some WASM cases).

468a9303fd [wasm] Call FatalProcessOutOfMemory on OOM
Instead of returning nullptr, just always call FatalProcessOutOfMemory
when we cannot allocate more memory.
In a follow-up CL, this should be extended to first try to run a GC and
see if this freed enough memory.
This CL is intentionally minimal in order to make it backmergable.

The unittest for WasmCodeManager needs to be refactored into a
parameterized test, such that each individual (parameterized) test can
die with OOM without affecting other tests.

b8229612bf Reland "[esnext] re-implement template strings"
- Add a new bytecode for the ToString operation, replacing the old
intrinsic call (currently does not collect type feedback).
- Add a new AST node to represent TemplateLiterals, and avoid
generating unnecessary ToString operations in some simple cases.
- Use a single feedback slot for each string addition, because the
type feedback should always be the same for each addition

This seems to produce a very slight improvement on JSTests benchmarks
and bench-ruben.js from v8:7415, and it's possible that type feedback
for the ToString bytecode could provide more opportunities to eliminate
the runtime call in TurboFan.

Doesn't touch tagged templates

49a1a9a467 [wasm] Parse function names on demand
Function names are optional in wasm and might not be present for most
functions. Instead of storing an empty name with each function, this
change loads names, if present, on first access of the name.

This also fixes an inconsistency with streaming compilation. Under
streaming compilation, functions are compiled before parsing the name
section. Hence, they always received an empty name. With this change,
assignment of names is typically deferred until the whole module was
parsed.

501f250c0b [turbofan] [cleanup] remove UnalignedLoadRepresentation
UnalignedLoad is the only kind of load operation that defines its own
UnalignedLoadRepresentation type alias and LoadRepresentationOf function.
This is a problem because it means we cannot use the LOAD_MATCHER
infrastructure without defining all of this boilerplate for all the other
kinds of load operations. Since these aliases serve no real purpose,
it is best to unify UnalignedLoad to how its peers are handled.

383ec7b506 [turbofan] IA32 port of branch load poisoning.
The tricky part here is to take away one register from register
allocation for the mask. The only problem is with calls that need
an input operand to be passed in the poison register. For such calls,
we change the register constraint in the instruction selector
to pass the value in whatever place the register allocator sees fit.
During code generation, we then copy the value from that place
to the poison register. By that time, the mask is not necessary
(once we bake the mask into the target, it should be done before
this move).

For the branches, the mask update does not use cmov (unlike x64)
because cmov does not take an immediate and we do not have
a scratch register. Instead we use bit-twiddling tricks
(suggested by @tebbi). For example, here is the code for masking
register update after a bailout on non-zero:

  jnz deopt_bailout    ;; Bailout branch
  setnz bl ;; These three instructions update the mask
  add  ebx, 255
  sar  ebx, 31

(On x64, the sequence is:

  jnz deopt_bailout
  mov r10, 0 ;; We have a scratch register for zero
  cmovnz r9, r10 ;; Set to zero if we execute this branch
                  ;; in branch mis-speculation
)

This CL also fixes a bug in register configuration, where we used
to wrongly restrict the array of register name.

cdf0c2e801 Account for different interpretations of "trivially copyable"
Unfortunately, different runtime libraries and/or compilers differ on
whether a class without any copy constructor, move constructor, copy
assignment and move assignment operator is considered trivially
copyable.
See discussion on https://crrev.com/c/941521.

This CL adds a comment about this, and deletes a test for this specific
case.

70222a9d03 [v8 platform] Rename BackgroundThread methods to WorkerThreads method.
Follow-up to https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/v8/v8/+/941442.

"background" refers to a priority and is inappropriate to refer to
worker threads as many tasks posted to worker threads by v8 are in
fact high priority.

Also took advantage of this rename to make NumberOfWorkerThreads()
return an int instead of size_t. While it is never negative, int is
simpler and Google C++ style guide states to avoid unsigned integers in
such cases (ref. "On Unsigned Integers" @
https://google.github.io/styleguide/cppguide.html#Integer_Types).

The Chromium embedder for that call provided an int which was converted
to size_t for this override and most often casted back down to int on the
v8 side, adding churn, and readability overhead.

9dd6f0d089 Fix is_trivially_copyable check for MSVC and older stdlibc++
MSVC 2015 and 2017 implement std::is_trivially_copyable, but not
correctly. Hence, reimplement it using more low-level primitives.

For stdlibc++ versions below 5.0, we already have a workaround for the
missing support of std::is_trivially_copyable, but this is an unsound
approximation, because it is ignoring move constructor, move assignment
and copy assignment. Therefore, do not use this approximation for
asserting trivial copyability of a type.

Finally, add unittests for the new is_trivially_copyable
implementations.

86b4b5345a [v8 platform] Get rid of unused ExpectedRuntime parameter.
With a temporary intermediate step to allow adapting embedders before
getting rid of the ExpectedRuntime method altogether.

The method is being renamed to CallOnWorkerThread() as an effort to
go away from "background" nomenclature for worker threads ("background"
usually refers to a priority but worker threads are commonly used for
high priority tasks in v8).
Other CLs will follow to rename other "background" APIs.

58b386c4de Make v8 build with -Wmicrosoft-cast under clang-cl.
gcc and clang (and the standard) don't allow implicit conversion of
function pointers to object pointers. MSVC does allow that, and since
system headers require this to work, clang-cl allows it too -- but
it emits a -Wmicrosoft-cast warning (which we currently suppress in
the Chromium build, but which we want to enable.)

As a side effect, when printing a function pointer to a stream, MSVC
(and clang-cl) will pick the operator<<(void*) overload, while gcc
and clang will pick operator<<(bool) since the best allowed conversion
they find is from function pointer to bool.

To prevent the clang-cl warning, we need to make sure that we never
directly print a function pointer to a stream. In v8, this requires
two changes:

1. Give PrintCheckOperand() an explicit specialization for function
   pointers and explicitly cast to void* there. This ports
   https://codereview.chromium.org/2515283002/ to V8, and also fixes a
   bug on non-Windows where DCHECK() of function pointers would print
   "(1 vs 1)" instead of the function's addresses.
   (The bug remains with member function pointers,
   where it's not clear what to print instead of the 1.)

2. has_output_operator<T> must not use operator<< on its argument
   in an evaluated context if T is a function pointer. This patch
   modifies has_output_operator<> to use an unevaluated context instead,
   which is simpler than the current approach (and matches what Chromium's
   base does), but changes behavior in minor (boring) ways
   (see template-utils-unittest.cc), since operator<<() is now
   called with a temporary and only operator<<() implementations callable
   with a temporary are considered.
   A more complicated but behavior-preserving alternative would be to
   add an explicit specialization for function pointers. You can see
   this variant in patch set 1 on gerrit.

fafd1cdd35 Move exception handler table into instruction stream.
This changes the encoding of the {HandlerTable} from an array of Smi
values to a byte array. It allows embedding of said array into the
instruction stream of {Code} objects (similar to how safepoint tables
work). For interpreted bytecode the table is attached as a {ByteArray}
to the bytecode.

The advantage of this approach is a more compact encoding and also the
ability to move such tables easily off the GC'ed heap if needed (as is
done for WebAssembly code for example).

aff1f3788b [cleanup] Introduce a dedicated FeedbackCell.
This is preparatory cleanup work for eventually tracking the functions
(rather than concrete closures) in the CALL_IC, also for builtins like
the default PromiseCapability [[Resolve]] and [[Reject]] functions. It
adds a new FeedbackCell type, which is used by JSFunctions consistently
now to reference the feedback vector (or undefined if not the function
is not compiled yet or is a native/asm.js function).

This also changes the calling convention for FastNewClosure builtin and
the JSCreateClosure operator in TurboFan to carry the FeedbackCell here
instead of the parent FeedbackVector and the slot index. In addition we
eliminate the now unused %InterpreterNewClosure runtime function.

d3ca0d0050 [esnext] implement spec change to TaggedTemplate callsite caching
Implements the change outlined in https://github.com/tc39/ecma262/pull/890,
which has been ratified and pulled into the specification. In particular,
template callsite objects are no longer kept in a global, eternal Map, but
are instead associated with their callsite, which can be collected. This
prevents a memory leak incurred by TaggedTemplate calls.

Changes, summarized:

    - Remove the TemplateMap and TemplateMapShape objects, instead caching
      template objects in the feedback vector.
    - Remove the `hash` member of TemplateObjectDescriptor, and the Equals
      method (used by TemplateMap)
    - Add a new FeedbackSlotKind (kTemplateObject), which behaves similarly
      to FeedbackSlotKind::kLiteral, but prevents eval caching. This ensures
      that a new feedback vector is always created for eval() containing tagged
      templates, even when the CompilationCache is used.
    - GetTemplateObject bytecode now takes a feedback index, and only calls
      into the runtime if the feedback is Smi::kZero (uninitialized).

a021b6c42d [Ignition] [TurboFan] Generate speculation poison in code generator.
Moves generation of speculation poison to be based on the PC target vs the
actual PC being executed. The speculation poison is generated in the prologue
of the generated code if CompilationInfo::kGenerateSpeculationPoison is set.
The result is stored in a known register, which can then be read using the
SpeculationPoison machine node.

Currently we need to ensure the SpeculationPoison node is scheduled right after
the code prologue so that the poison register doesn't get clobbered. This is
currently not verified, however it's only use is in RawMachineAssembler where
it is manually scheduled early.

The Ignition bytecode handlers are updated to use this speculation poison
rather than one generated by comparing the target bytecode.

db73d446b9 Bring Time(Delta)::Min/Max() and related helpers to V8.
Copied as-is modulo compile tweaks from Chromium's base.

Copied tests highlighting existing overflow issues with V8's impl...

TimeDelta::Max() will initially be used in V8 to flag events that
never triggered in a TimedHistogram.

Also constexpr'ed a few things while I was in there, it's harmless
at worst and helps a little at best.
Ideally would constexpr all the Time*::From*() methods like in
Chromium but that has inlining implications and I don't know the
impact that could have on V8.

954146a5cf Make TimeTicks::Now() high-resolution whenever possible with low-latency.
It was already always high-resolution on POSIX but was never high
resolution on Windows. Windows does support low latency high-resolution
timers for the majority of our user base.

TimeTicks::HighResolutionNow() was only explicitly requested in testing
frameworks. As such I left the call in place but made it DCHECK that
it's running on a Windows machine on which high-resolution clocks are
used. This confirms that none of our test fleet has regressed with this
change (the previous HighResolutionNow() used to be slightly more
aggressive and also do it in a few configurations where we now fallback
to low-resolution now).

This implementation was copied as-is (modulo minor v8 API
compatibility tweaks). These implementations were the same in the
past but had diverged when, sadly, the same bug was fixed separately
years apart, in Chromium and V8:
chromium: https://codereview.chromium.org/1284053004 + https://codereview.chromium.org/2393953003
v8: https://codereview.chromium.org/1304873011

This is a prerequisite to add metrics around parallel task execution
(low-resolution clocks are useless at that level, but we also don't want
to incur high-latency clocks on machines that can't afford it cheaply).

de49b57404 Reland "Smoother distribution of worker assignment in parallel task array."
This is a reland of 76195d9e08.

It was reverted because the new parallel tasks (with higher number
of workers) hang on client.v8.ports bots. Since each test task steals
the worker thread it's assigned but only processes one item before
waiting for completion by others: I think the problem is that there
aren't enough workers in client.v8.ports' config. There aren't any
try bots for this config... reduce the tests to use 4 tasks and
hope for the best (i.e. a 4 core machine that uses "num cores")...

396e7bc801 Revert "Smoother distribution of worker assignment in parallel task array."
This reverts commit 76195d9e08.

Reason for revert: New parallel tests timeout on the waterfall (I think because it's configured to use less worker threads and TaskProcessingOneItem is currently designed to steal a worker but only process one item...).

2407b2bd1b Revert "v8::ItemParallelJob : Do not launch more Tasks than there are Items to process."
This reverts commit 8a27c7d396.

Reason for revert:

Having more tasks then work items is intentional in some use cases, i.e. Scavenging where RunInParallel() does parallel processing on a dynamic workload *after* the initial set of work items:

    {
      barrier_->Start();
      TimedScope scope(&scavenging_time);
      PageScavengingItem* item = nullptr;
      while ((item = GetItem<PageScavengingItem>()) != nullptr) {
        item->Process(scavenger_);
        item->MarkFinished();
      }
      do {
        scavenger_->Process(barrier_);
      } while (!barrier_->Wait());
      scavenger_->Process();
    }

Do a step before selecting the limit for the next step. However, as seen
on crbug.com/795323, while this fix makes us more precise in our
accounting, we do ending up seeing steps more frequently. This ends up
invoking the idle scavenger more frequently. To compensate, we adjust
the idle scavenger step size.

c869d40d5a [ignition] Single-switch generator bytecode
Currently, yields and awaits inside loops compile to bytecode which
switches to the top of the loop header, and switch again once inside the
loop. This is to make loops reducible.

This replaces this switching logic with a single switch bytecode that
directly jumps to the bytecode being resumed. Among other things, this
allows us to no longer maintain the generator state after the switch at
the top of the function, and avoid having to track loop suspend counts.

TurboFan still needs to have reducible loops, so we now insert loop
header switches during bytecode graph building, for suspends that are
discovered to be inside loops during bytecode analysis. We do, however,
do some environment magic across loop headers since we know that we will
continue switching if and only if we reached that loop header via a
generator resume. This allows us to generate fewer phis and tighten
liveness.

7ac10da795 [turbofan] Lower NumberConstant nodes to IntPtrConstant.
If a NumberConstant can be represented as a Smi, then lower it to a
IntPtrConstant node during simplified lowering. Thanks to this, all backends can
match Smi values that can also be encoded as immediates in the instruction
selector. Additionally, we can apply the same lowering to the CodeAssembler for
the snapshot.

As a result, we can remove `mov` instructions generated because Int32Matcher and
Int64Matcher didn't not recognize Smis:

For 32-bit target, it's common for Smis also be immediates: "if (a < 100) {}"
~~~
mov r1, #200 -> cmp r0, #200
cmp r0, r1   -> blt <>
blt <>       ->
~~~

On Arm64 particularly, we lose opportunites to use `cbz`: "if (a == 0) {}"
~~~
movz x0, #0x0 -> cbz x1 <>
cmp x1, x0    ->
b.eq <>       ->
~~~

Overall, we do not see an impact on benchmarks such as webtooling. However, we
do see noteworthy code size reduction, from 0.5% to 1.5%.

bcf1172992 [arm64] Preparation for padding of arguments
As part of JSSP removal, we need to align the arguments passed to functions
on the stack, by adding a padding slot when the total number of arguments
is odd.

This patch introduces the kPadArguments flag (which is currently set to
false for all architectures), which will control padding of arguments in
architecture-independent parts of the code (deoptimizer, instruction
selector).

It also adds some executable tests for tail calls with various stack
parameter counts on the caller and callee sides.

This will be turned on for arm64 together with arm64-specific changes to
the code generator, the MacroAsembler and the builtins, in a later patch.

cedec225c9 Implement DFA Unicode Decoder
This is a separation of the DFA Unicode Decoder from
https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/v8/v8/+/789560

I attempted to make the DFA's table a bit more explicit in this CL. Still, the
linter prevents me from letting me present the array as a "table" in source
code. For a better representation, please refer to
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L9STtkmWs-A7HdK5ZmZ-wPZ_VBjQ3-Jj_xN9c6_hLKA

- - - - -

Now for a big copy-paste from 789560:

Essentially, reworks a standard FSM (imagine an
array of structs) and flattens it out into a single-dimension array.
Using Table 3-7 of the Unicode 10.0.0 standard (page 126 of
http://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode10.0.0/ch03.pdf), we can nicely
map all bytes into one of 12 character classes:

00. 0x00-0x7F
01. 0x80-0x8F (split from general continuation because this range is not
    valid after a 0xF0 leading byte)
02. 0x90-0x9F (split from general continuation because this range is not
    valid after a 0xE0 nor a 0xF4 leading byte)
03. 0xA0-0xBF (the rest of the continuation range)
04. 0xC0-0xC1, 0xF5-0xFF (the joined range of invalid bytes, notice this
    includes 255 which we use as a known bad byte during hex-to-int
        decoding)
05. 0xC2-0xDF (leading bytes which require any continuation byte
    afterwards)
06. 0xE0 (leading byte which requires a 0xA0-0xBF afterwards then any
    continuation byte after that)
07. 0xE1-0xEC, 0xEE-0xEF (leading bytes which requires any continuation
    afterwards then any continuation byte after that)
08. 0xED (leading byte which requires a 0x80-0x9F afterwards then any
    continuation byte after that)
09. 0xF1-F3 (leading bytes which requires any continuation byte
    afterwards then any continuation byte then any continuation byte)
10. 0xF0 (leading bytes which requires a 0x90-0xBF afterwards then any
    continuation byte then any continuation byte)
11. 0xF4 (leading bytes which requires a 0x80-0x8F afterwards then any
    continuation byte then any continuation byte)

Note that 0xF0 and 0xF1-0xF3 were swapped so that fewer bytes were
needed to represent the transition state ("9, 10, 10, 10" vs.
"10, 9, 9, 9").

Using these 12 classes as "transitions", we can map from one state to
the next. Each state is defined as some multiple of 12, so that we're
always starting at the 0th column of each row of the FSM. From each
state, we add the transition and get a index of the new row the FSM is
entering.

If at any point we encounter a bad byte, the state + bad-byte-transition
is guaranteed to map us into the first row of the FSM (which contains no
valid exiting transitions).

The key differences from Björn's original (or his self-modified) DFA is
the "bad" state is now mapped to 0 (or the first row of the FSM) instead
of 12 (the second row). This saves ~50 bytes when gzipping, and also
speeds up determining if a string is properly encoded (see his sample
code at http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de/utf-8/decoder/dfa/#performance).

Finally, I've replace his ternary check with an array access, to make
the algorithm branchless. This places a requirement on the caller to 0
out the code point between successful decodings, which it could always
have done because it's already branching.

fd554885a8 [heap] Add background GC tracing infrastructure.
A background task can now use GCTracer::BackgroundScope to
trace the time spent in the task. The time shows up in

The destructor of GCTracer::BackgroundScope increments the
corresponding counter in heap()->tracer()->background_counter_,
which is protected by a mutex.

The GCTracer::Stop function fetches background_counter_ items
into the global scope and into the runtime call stats.

Add support for matching '(x & mask) == mask' when mask has a single bit set,
and translate this into a tbnz instruction. This patch only does this for 32-bit
operations, we can port it to 64-bit operations as a follow-up if we find
matches.

This transformation mostly touches the snapshot where we get ~120 hits. This pattern can
also show up in JavaScript when introduced by the EffectControlLinearizer pass.

Previously, the V8 code base used an inconsistent mixture of uppercase

Google’s C++ style guide uses uppercase in its examples:
https://google.github.io/styleguide/cppguide.html#Non-ASCII_Characters

Moreover, uppercase letters more clearly stand out from the lowercase
`x` (or `u`) characters at the start, as well as lowercase letters

500d7b9315 [turbofan] Introduce a dedicated StringLength operator.
Strings are immutable in JavaScript land (contrast with the runtime,
where we can truncate strings that haven't escaped to JavaScript yet),
so the length of a String is immutable. Thus loading the length of a
String is a pure operation and should be expressed as such (i.e. doesn't
depend on control or effect). The StringLength operator does exactly
this and is hooked up to the effect chain in the EffectControlLinearizer.

This will eventually allow us to simplify the optimization of string
concatention and other operations that are a bit cumbersome in TurboFan
currently, and it will also allow us to optimize string operations
across effectful operations, for example combining multiple invocations
to String#slice with the same inputs.

b97567a976 No longer desugar the exponentiation (**) operator.
Prior to this change, the exponentiation operator was rewritten by the
parser to a call of the Math.pow builtin. However, Math.pow does not
accept BigInt arguments, while the exponentiation operator must accept
them.

This CL
- removes the parser's special treatment of ** and **=, treating them
  like any other binary op instead.
- adds a TFC builtin Exponentiate that does the right thing for
  all inputs.
- adds interpreter bytecodes Exp and ExpSmi whose handlers call the
  Exponentiate builtin. For simplicity, they currently always collect
  kAny feedback.
- adds a Turbofan operator JSExponentiate with a typed-lowering to
  the existing NumberPow and a generic-lowering to the Exponentiate
  builtin. There is currently no speculative lowering.

Note that exponentiation for BigInts is actually not implemented yet,
so we can't yet test it.

c71fd20cf9 [wasm] Data structures for JIT-ing wasm to native memory.
This CL introduces the structures for JIT-ing wasm on the native heap.
They are described in detail at go/wasm-on-native-heap-stage-1

Briefly:
- WasmCodeManager manages memory for modules and offers an interior
pointer lookup (i.e. PC -> WasmCode)
- WasmCode represents code, including reloc info. It holds wasm
specific data, like function index, and runtime information, like trap
handler info.
- NativeModule manages memory for one module.

Tests cover the allocation and lookup aspects, following that current
regression tests cover the JITed code. A separate CL will enable JITing
using the new data structures.

8a91be5b05 [turbofan] Remove the unused ToBooleanHints.
The ToBooleanHints were used to represent the ToBoolean feedback
collected by Fullcodegen. But Ignition doesn't collect this feedback
and also TurboFan doesn't make use of the hints, so we should remove
this for now.

977da55033 [bigint] Encapsulate internals in MutableBigInt
This CL creates the invariant that the BigInt class treats
BigInt objects as immutable. Writing to new BigInt objects
as part of their construction is done by the MutableBigInt
helper class, which in turn is hidden as an implementation
detail in bigint.cc.
As a side effect, this refactoring enforces right-trimming
checks for all newly created BigInts, and ensures that all
BigInt allocations possibly exceeding kMaxLength check for
this case and throw a RangeError instead of crashing.

3e0bf580e8 MIPS[64] Implementation of MSA instructions in builtin simulator
This commit is a step toward enabling test-run-wasm-simd tests for MIPS.
36 of those were failing in V8 builtin simulator because some instructions
were not implemented. Also there are minor fixes to some of the already
implemented instructions.

This commit has only 32-bit implementation. After review I will add

0ef8da2664 [wasm] Check code section bytes in the streaming decoder
The streaming decoder allocates the whole section buffer of the code
section when it reads the section length of the code section. Therefore
we have to check that the different parts of the code section actually
use all the bytes, and that the different parts of the code section do
not need more bytes than available. The check that all bytes are used
was missing in the case where the code section contained zero functions.

In addition, this CL adds some tracing to the streaming decoder which
may be useful in future debugging.

8de2e6db02 [platform] Implement TaskRunners in the DefaultPlatform
This CL implements the TaskRunners in the DefaultPlatform which has been
added recently to the platform API. In addition I changed how task
posting works on the DefaultPlatform.

With this implementation the DefaultPlatform keeps one
DefaultForegroundTaskRunner per isolate, plus one
DefaultBackgroundTaskRunner. The DefaultPlatform owns these TaskRunners
with a shared_ptr, which is also shared with any caller of
GetForegroundTaskRunner or GetBackgroundTaskrunner.

This CL moves the task management from the DefaultPlatform to the
TaskRunners. The DefaultForegroundTaskRunner owns and manages the the
task queue, the delayed task queue, and the idle task queue. The
DefaultBackgroundTaskRunner owns the WorkerThread pool and the
background task queue.

In addition changed many Task* to std::unique_ptr<Task> to document task
ownership.

ffee558e14 [cleanup] use unique_ptr for the DefaultPlatform
With this CL, {CreateDefaultPlatform} returns a unique_ptr to indicate
that the caller owns the returned memory. We had several memory leaks
where the memory of the DefaultPlatform did not get deallocated.

In addition, the {TracingController} of the {DefaultPlatform} also gets
received as a unique_ptr. Thereby we document that the {DefaultPlatform}
takes ownership of the {TracingController}. Note that the memory of the
{TracingController} was already owned by the {DefaultPlatform}, but it
was not documented in the interface, and it was used incorrectly in
tests.

b9c9932202 [jumbo] fix B macro/symbol clashes in arm64 builds
assembler-arm64.h and assembler-arm64-inl.h have a B() function
which conflicts with the B macro in bytecode-utils.h.

Headers that leak macros can be annoying to deal with, in this case
we can't simply undef B at the end of source files that include
bytecode-utils.h because the second source file that includes
bytecode-utils.h won't see the B macro. Let's just move this macro
into the two unittest files that include this header.

7d231e576a [bits] Consolidate Count{Leading,Trailing}Zeros
Instead of having one method for 32 bit integers and one for 64 bit,
plus a templatized version to choose from those two, just implement one
version which handles unsigned integers of any size. Also, make them
constexpr.
The Count{Leading,Trailing}Zeros{32,64} methods are kept for now in
order to keep the amount of code changes small. Also, sometimes it
improves readability by stating exactly the size of the argument,
especially for leading zeros (where zero-extending would add more
leading zeros).

CountLeadingZeros now uses a binary search inspired implementation
as proposed in Hacker's Delight. It's more than 20% faster on x64 if
the builtins are disabled.
CountTrailingZeros falls back to CountPopulation instead of counting in
a naive loop. This is ~50% faster.

317cf32131 [ast] Move AstValue implementation into Literal
This eliminates the AstValue class, effectively moving its
implementation into the Literal AstNode. This should cause
no difference in behavior, but it does signal some shifts
in the underlying system. Biggest changes include:

  - Reduction in AST memory usage
  - No duplicate HeapNumbers in Ignition constant pools
  - Non-String values are allocated either at constant pool
    creation time (or at boilerplate creation time for literals),
    rather than at AstValueFactory::Internalize() time.

There are a variety of test-only/debug-only changes due to these
switches as well.

cb84b6f624 [lazy-accessor-pairs] Don't take the fast paths if the context needs to be switched
This works in the ICs since compiled handlers are not shared anymore.

As drive-by cleanup I also removed custom code to deal with compiled handler sharing for primitive and access-checked objects.

52ef2a1c27 [parser] Add an n-ary node for large binop chains
Expressions of the form

    a_0 + a_1 + a_2 + a_3 + ... + a_n

seem to be reasonably common for cases such as building templates.
However, parsing these expressions results in a n-deep expression tree:

           ...
          /
         +
        / \
       +  a_2
      / \
    a_0 a_1

Traversing this tree during compilation can cause a stack overflow when n is
large.

Instead, for left-associate operations such as add, we now build up an
n-ary node in the parse tree, of the form

         n-ary +
       /  |      \
      /   |  ...  \
    a_0  a_1      a_n

The bytecode compiler can now iterate through the child expressions
rather than recursing.

This patch only supports arithmetic operations -- subsequent patches
will enable the same optimization for logical tests and comma
expressions.

fd306a0658 Allow constexpr RegList construction from Registers
Before, the standard way to create a RegList was either:
RegList list = (1 << 0) | (1 << 1) | ...
or
RegList list = rax.bit() | rdx.bit() | ...

The first way allows to make the RegList constexpr, but needs comments
to document which registers you are referring to, and it has no checks
that all bits you set on the RegList actually belong to valid registers.
The second one uses the symbolic names, hence is much more readable and
makes it harder to construct invalid RegLists. It's not constexpr
though, since the {bit()} method on the register types is not constexpr.

This CL adds a constexpr accessor to get the code and bit of a
constexpr Register, and adds a helper method to create a constexpr
RegList like this:
constexpr RegList list = Register::ListOf<rax, rdx, rdi>();

This new method is used in a number of places to test its
applicability. Other uses of the old pattern remain and can be cleaned
up later.

e18ebb6064 [ast] Encapsulate AstValue inside Literal AstNode
This removes all but one caller of Literal::raw_value(), thus
hiding AstValue from the rest of the codebase. This is in
preparation to move much of AstValue's implementation up
into Literal itself, thus avoiding the overhead of the
underling ZoneObjects and allowing us to remove complexity
such as the cache of Smi-valued AstValues.

bcee140617 [turbofan] Introduce InstanceOfIC to collect rhs feedback.
This adds a new InstanceOfIC where the TestInstanceOf bytecode collects
constant feedback about the right-hand side of instanceof operators,
including both JSFunction and JSBoundFunction instances. TurboFan then
uses the feedback to optimize instanceof in places where the right-hand
side is not a known constant (known to TurboFan).

This addresses the odd performance cliff that we see with instanceof in
functions with multiple closures. It was discovered as one of the main
bottlenecks on the uglify-es test in the web-tooling-benchmark. The
uglify-es test (run in separation) is ~18% faster with this change.

On the micro-benchmark in the tracking bug we go from

  instanceofSingleClosure_Const: 69 ms.
  instanceofSingleClosure_Class: 246 ms.
  instanceofMultiClosure: 246 ms.
  instanceofParameter: 246 ms.

to

  instanceofSingleClosure_Const: 70 ms.
  instanceofSingleClosure_Class: 75 ms.
  instanceofMultiClosure: 76 ms.
  instanceofParameter: 73 ms.

boosting performance by roughly 3.6x and thus effectively removing the
performance cliff around instanceof.
