b2ed47b958 [interpreter] Restrict one-shot optimizations to only top-level IIFEs
IIFE`s within a function are not guaranteed to be executed only once.
They can be called multiple times and compiler can inline them.
Do the one-shot optimizations only for IIFE`s from top-level code.

aaab2907cc [Interpreter] Create and use CallNoFeedback bytecode for one-shot code
We do not have to collect feedback for function calls in one-shot code.
This CL avoids allocating CallICslots for each function call by
emitting CallNoFeedback bytecodes. We save one CallICSlot (two entries
in feedback vector) per function call in One-shot.

34c8119d49 [heap] Remove support for aborting incremental marking
Abort incremental marking pulls in the requirement to also be able to abort on
the embedder side. In practice, aborting is never really needed and the GC
should just finalize the existing collection and do an atomic followup if exact
marking information is required.

6bf31c7260 Refactor test-log.cc.
This patch splits the log file into a vector of std::strings when
logging is stopped, so verifying that lines are present can be done in
terms of std library functions. Verifications are now done by simple
substring matching instead of via a prefix or suffix, in preparation for
a new test that needs to match the middle of a line.

This patch also deletes some dead/debugging code.

ec06732236 [utils] Change ReadFile interface
ReadFile returned a Vector with ownership transfer, i.e. the client
needed to call Dispose to free the memory. This CL changes the interface
to return a std::string instead, which manages ownership. As it turns
out, there is only one user of ReadString that sometimes calls an API
function which expects to take ownership of its Vector argument.

ba752ea4c5 [cpu-profiler] Use instruction start as the key for the CodeMap
Previously we used the start address of the AbstractCode object. This
doesn't make sense for off-heap builtins, where the code isn't contained
in the object itself. It also hides other potential problems - sometimes
the sample.pc is inside the AbstractCode object header - this is
never valid.

There were a few changes necessary to make this happen:
  - Change the interface of CodeMoveEvent. Now 'to' and 'from' are both
AbstractCode objects, which is nice because many users were taking
'to' and adding the header offset to it to try and find the
instruction start address. This isn't valid for off-heap builtins.
  - Fix a bug in CodeMap::MoveCode where we didn't update the CodeEntry
object to reflect the new instruction_start.
  - Rename the 'start' field in all of the CodeEventRecord sub-classes
to make it clear that this is the address of the first instruction.
  - Fix the confusion in RecordTickSample between 'tos' and 'pc' which
caused pc_offset to be calculated incorrectly.

13b899a5f9 [cleanup] Remove Isolate parameter from object print
With ReadOnlyRoots and GetIsolate on JSReceiver, we can remove almost
every isolate parameter from <Object>::Print. The remaining ones, like
Map, are special-caseable for read-only maps, and as a result we can
remove isolate parameters from <Object>::Print entirely.

This patch also opportunistically cleans up a few places where isolates
were only needed for Object::Print, such as TransitionAccessors and
DescriptorArrays.

edec05ea73 [explicit isolates] Pass Isolate to Object::Print
All Object::Print functions now take an Isolate* parameter. Various
XX::XXPrint functions now take an Isolate if it's needed rather than
calling GetIsolate(). Such method use DECL_PRINTER_WITH_ISOLATE rather
than DECL_PRINTER.

The _v8_internal_Print_ function (intended for use in gdb) now uses
Isolate::Current() to get hold of an Isolate.

Reduces the GetIsolate and GetHeap count by 9 and 5 respectively.

Also removes unneeded gdb/lldb macros (along with their support
functions), jfv, jfm, jda and jta, since job does the same thing.

b20faffb07 [log] fix ExistingCodeLogger behavior on edge case
ExistingCodeLogger was behaving incorrectly when the CodeEventHandler
API was used in combination with --interpreted-frames-native-stack.
Instead of collecting copied trampolines as InterpretedFunction:functionName,
they were being collected as Builtin:IntepreterEntryTrampolines.
This patch adds special handling for copied trampolines when
using ExistingCodeLogger.

The "Address" type is V8's general-purpose type for manipulating memory

ada64b58bf interpreter: make interpreted frames distinguishable in the native stack
Before Turbofan/Ignition it was possible to use external profilers to
sample running V8/Node.js processes and generate reports/FlameGraphs
from that. It's still possible to do so, but non-optimized JavaScript
functions appear in the stack as InterpreterEntryTrampoline. This commit
adds a runtime flag which makes interpreted frames visible on the
process' native stack as distinguishable functions, making the sampled
data gathered by external profilers such as Linux perf and DTrace more
useful.

This patch updates existing use of NULL to nullptr where applicable,
making the code base more consistent.

fe598532ec Pass Isolate pointer to String::Utf8Value/Value constructors
As part of J2V8 development (https://github.com/eclipsesource/J2V8),
we realized that we had a subtle bug in how Isolate scope was created
and it's lifetime managed, see:
https://github.com/eclipsesource/J2V8/issues/313.

Mentioned above bug was fixed, however, what we also noticed is that
V8 API has been constantly and slowly moving to such an API, in which
one has to pass Isolate explicitly to methods and/or constructors. We
found two more places that might have been overlooked. This contribution
adds passing of Isolate pointer explicitly to constructors of
String::Utf8Value and String::Value classes.

9041833647 Fix printf formats
The usage of __attribute__((format(x, y)) was either wrong or missing from multiple functions, leading to erroneous formats. This CL:

 - Imports PRINTF_FORMAT macro from Chrome's src/base/compiler-specific.h.

4c4fdc2d63 Revert of Fix printf formats (patchset #8 id:140001 of https://codereview.chromium.org/1869433004/ )
Reason for revert:
One small issue easily fixed here: https://codereview.chromium.org/1867333003/

But it looks like MSVS 2013 doesn't like some of the formats and exists with the unhelpful:
Stderr:
f:\dd\vctools\crt\crtw32\stdio\output.c(1125) : Assertion failed: ("Incorrect
format specifier", 0)

It's easier to revert for now, I'll dig more into the docs:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/56e442dc(v=vs.120).aspx
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/tcxf1dw6(v=vs.120).aspx

And then resubmit, making sure I run these bots.

cb29f9cdbc [Interpreter] Add support for cpu profiler logging.
Adds support for cpu profiler logging to the interpreter. Modifies the
the API to be passed AbstractCode objects instead of Code objects, and
adds extra functions to AbstractCode which is required by log.cc and
cpu-profiler.cc.

The main change in sampler.cc is to determine if a stack frame is an
interpreter stack frame, and if so, use the bytecode address as the pc
for that frame. This allows sampling of bytecode functions. This
requires adding support to SafeStackIterator to determine if a frame is
interpreted, which we do by checking the PC against pre-stored addresses
for the start and end of interpreter entry builtins.

Also removes CodeDeleteEvents which are dead code and haven't
been reported for some time.

Still to do is tracking source positions which will be done in a
followup CL.

b27431d52f Cleanup: Remove NativesCollection<.>::*Raw* methods.
These methods for used for compressed libraries, where GetSource* functions
contained the compressed sources and [GS]etRawSource* the uncompressed
sources. This is dead code since the API no longer supports compression.

(If you need/want compressed sources, use the external startup data and
 compress/uncompress on the Embedder's side.)

27f3cc1b9c Require V8 to be explicitly initialized before an Isolate is created
We also initialize the Isolate on creation.

This should allow for getting rid of the last remaining default isolate
traces. Also, it'll speed up several isolate related operations that no
longer require locks.

Embedders that relied on v8::Isolate to return an uninitialized Isolate
(so they can set ResourceConstraints for example, or set flags that
modify the way the isolate is created) should either do the setup before
creating the isolate, or use the recently added CreateParams to pass e.g.
ResourceConstraints.

6923d84785 New Compilation API, part 1, try 2
- Distinguish between context bound scripts (Script) and context unbound scripts
(UnboundScript).
- Add ScriptCompiler (which will later contain functions for async compilation).

This is a breaking change, in particular, Script::New no longer exists (it is
replaced by ScriptCompiler::CompileUnbound). Script::Compile remains as a
backwards-compatible shorthand for ScriptCompiler::Compile.

Passing CompilerOptions with produce_data_to_cache = true doesn't do anything
yet; the only way to generate the data to cache is the old preparsing API. (To
be fixed in the next version.)

This is a fixed version of https://codereview.chromium.org/186723005/

f0bf110448 Make LeakSanitizer happy, part 1.
Bumped an assembler buffer on the way, it is necessary for some combinations of debugging flags.

Note that the allocation profiler still leaks, this is handled in a separate CL.
