d1b27019d3 [include] Split out v8.h
This moves every single class/function out of include/v8.h into a
separate header in include/, which v8.h then includes so that
externally nothing appears to have changed.

Every include of v8.h from inside v8 has been changed to a more
fine-grained include.

Previously inline functions defined at the bottom of v8.h would call
private non-inline functions in the V8 class. Since that class is now
in v8-initialization.h and is rarely included (as that would create
dependency cycles), this is not possible and so those methods have been
moved out of the V8 class into the namespace v8::api_internal.

None of the previous files in include/ now #include v8.h, which means
if embedders were relying on this transitive dependency then it will
give compile failures.

v8-inspector.h does depend on v8-scripts.h for the time being to ensure
that Chrome continue to compile but that change will be reverted once
those transitive #includes in chrome are changed to include it directly.

be6990457b [TurboFan] Mark Code object as never serialized
Code objects are exposed through JSFunction and SharedFunctionInfo.
If they are builtins, we don't have to worry about background threads
seeing partially initialized code objects. If they are optimized code
objects, we may. Background threads read the code fields with
AcquireLoad semantics. The fields are set on the main thread with
ReleaseStore semantics when appropriate.

Special care is taken when setting an optimized code object in a closure
in the interpreter entry stub. Since the MacroAssembler doesn't support
ReleaseStore semantics, this CL ensures that the optimized code object
is stored with those semantics in the feedback vector, where the
interpreter entry stub finds it.

29bcdaad1d Rename legacy code kinds
CodeKind::OPTIMIZED_CODE -> TURBOFAN

Kinds are now more fine-grained and distinguish between TF, TP, NCI.

CodeKind::STUB -> DEOPT_ENTRIES_OR_FOR_TESTING

Code stubs (like builtins, but generated at runtime) were removed from
the codebase years ago, this is the last remnant. This kind is used
only for deopt entries (which should be converted into builtins) and
for tests.

c51041f454 [nci] Replace CompilationTarget with a new Code::Kind value
With the new Turbofan variants (NCI and Turboprop), we need a way to
distinguish between them both during and after compilation. We
initially introduced CompilationTarget to track the variant during
compilation, but decided to reuse the code kind as the canonical spot to
store this information instead.

Why? Because it is an established mechanism, already available in most
of the necessary spots (inside the pipeline, on Code objects, in
profiling traces).

This CL removes CompilationTarget and adds a new
NATIVE_CONTEXT_INDEPENDENT kind, plus helper functions to determine
various things about a given code kind (e.g.: does this code kind
deopt?).

As a (very large) drive-by, refactor both Code::Kind and
AbstractCode::Kind into a new CodeKind enum class.

f30b53bdae [nci] Add native_context_independent flags
... to OptimizedCompilationInfo, BytecodeGraphBuilder, and
JSHeapBroker.

Also add first uses of these flags in pipeline.cc by skipping certain
phases when nci is enabled. With this change, tests in the NCI variant
will start to fail since generic lowering is not fully implemented.
These implementations will follow incrementally in the next days.

878ccb33bd [cleanup] Avoid {Object::operator->}
This CL was generated by an automatic clang AST rewriter using this
matcher expression:

  callExpr(
    callee(
      cxxMethodDecl(
        hasName("operator->"),
        ofClass(isSameOrDerivedFrom("v8::internal::Object"))
      )
    ),
    argumentCountIs(1)
  )

The "->" at the expression location was then rewritten to ".".

10ea3f8a1d [Compiler] Introduce IsCompiledScope which prevents flushing of compiled code
Introduces a IsCompiledScope object which can be used to check whether a
function is compiled, and ensure it remains compiled for the lifetime
of the scope without being uncompiled by bytecode flushing. The Compile
functions are modified to take a scope so that calling code can ensure
the function remains compiled for the lifetime they require.

Also, don't allocate a feedback vector for asm-wasm code as this
is never used, and will be reallocated if the asm-wasm code fails to
instantiate the module and we fallback to regular JavaScript.

Also restructure Compiler::PostInstantiation() to allocate the feedback
vector once, and do the optimized code check before optimizing for
always opt.

fed1364adf [Compiler] Ensure TurboFan holds onto BytecodeArray to keep it alive.
With Bytecode flushing, the a SharedFunctionInfo's bytecode might be flushed
while the compiler is expecting it to still exist. Rather than continually
getting the bytecode from the SFI, instead bottleneck the points where we get
BytecodeArray from SFIs and maintain an explicit strong reference to the
BytecodeArray from that point onwards to prevent flushing.

6bd1d3c280 [objects] Merge SFI outer_scope_info and feedback_metadata
Merge the outer_scope_info and feedback_metadata fields on
SharedFunctionInfo. outer_scope_info is only used during parsing,
and feedback_metadata is only available after compilation, so the
two never exist at the same time. Thus, they can share a field slot.

The exception is un-compiling and re-compiling a function, where we
need the outer_scope_info again. Fortunately, the outer_scope_info
can be re-calculated from the SFI's scope_info.

3a0419a635 [Compiler] Split up Unoptimized/Optimized CompilationInfo and CompilationJobs
With the Ignition + Turbofan pipeline there is very little overlap between the data
needed for unoptimized compilation and optimized compilation. As a result, it is
cleaner to split up the CompilationInfo into UnoptimizedCompilationInfo and
OptimizedCompilationInfo.

Doing so also necessitate splitting up CompilationJob into UnoptimizedCompilationJob
and OptimizedCompilationJob - again there is not much overlap so this seems cleaner.

aff1f3788b [cleanup] Introduce a dedicated FeedbackCell.
This is preparatory cleanup work for eventually tracking the functions
(rather than concrete closures) in the CALL_IC, also for builtins like
the default PromiseCapability [[Resolve]] and [[Reject]] functions. It
adds a new FeedbackCell type, which is used by JSFunctions consistently
now to reference the feedback vector (or undefined if not the function
is not compiled yet or is a native/asm.js function).

This also changes the calling convention for FastNewClosure builtin and
the JSCreateClosure operator in TurboFan to carry the FeedbackCell here
instead of the parent FeedbackVector and the slot index. In addition we
eliminate the now unused %InterpreterNewClosure runtime function.

21da12a983 [Compiler] Remove CompileDebugCode and EnsureBytecode and replace with Compile
Removes the Compiler::CompileDebugCode and Compiler::EnsureBytecode functions
and replaces them with a Compiler::Compile(Handle<SharedFunctionInfo> shared)
function. The code in compiler.cc is refactored to use this function to compile
the SharedFunctionInfo when compiling a JSFunction.

Also does some other cleanup:
 - Removes CompileUnoptimizedFunction and inlines into new Compiler function
 - Moves code to create top level SharedFunctionInfo into CompilerTopLevel and
   out of FinalizeUnoptimizedCompile.
