a538d945e3 Teach ModuleDescriptor about basic local exports
Add() becomes AddLocalExport, which takes an export_name and a local_name.
New parsing tests exercise this.

Also start generating exports for default exports (though this doesn't yet
handle anonymous default exports).

27e8a455df Rename Interface to ModuleDescriptor
ModuleDescriptor will end up holding the set of data described in the
spec as a "Module record". This introduces a little bit of confusion
with ModuleInfo, but I hope that'll become clearer over time.

Also removed the interface-printing flags. We probably want
Module-printing flags, but that can wait until we have more
Module-related structures.

522937cb49 Strip Interface class of most of its logic, make it all about Module exports
This gets Variable and VariableProxy out of the business of worrying about
Interfaces.

At the same time, get rid of the notion of "module variables". In ES6, variables
that refer to modules will be simply be CONST bindings to module namespace
objects.

The only change in logic here is one more early error:
duplicate export names are now rejected.

d0c2c2b32c ES6 Classes: Remove tracking of super construct calls.
With the new ES6 semantics super construct calls are only valid in
a constructor in a derived class. This is something that is
statically known and we report early SyntaxError in case it occurs.
We therefore do not need to track this any more.

df0cb9999f Parsing: Make Parser not know about Isolate during background parsing.
Parser must be able to operate independent of Isolate and the V8 heap during
parsing. After the heap-independent phase, there is a heap dependent phase,
during which we internalize strings, handle errors, etc.

This makes Isolate (also via CompilationInfo) unaccessible during parsing, and
thus decreases the probability of accidental code changes which would add
heap-dependent operations into the heap-independent phase.

Since Isolate is also accessible via CompilationInfo, now CompilationInfo is
only passed to the entry points of parsing, and not stored in Parser.

0ca9bef37f Get rid of PreParserScope.
It's unnecessary; PreParser can just use normal Scopes for the things it needs
to track. Note: the only functionalities of PreParserScope were keeping track of
the scope stack, and for each scope, the scope type and language mode. Those are
now done by Scope. PreParser doesn't yet put variables into scopes (that will be
done in a follow up).

70079dab13 Add basic compilation support for modules
This adds an "experimental" API hook (v8::ScriptCompiler::CompileModule)
allowing compilation of modules. The code gen is incredibly basic: the
module body is represented by a Block in the AST. But this at least gets
more of the pipeline working, and opens the door to writing mjsunit tests
(once d8 is modified to support module compilation).

5c56665059 PreParser / Parser consistency: Make PreParser aware of Zone and AstValueFactory.
Previously it just had hacks to have NULLs instead of them and pretended to know
nothing about Zone. The hacks provide no real benefit (probably historically
based on some weird misconception about the relationship between Zone and
Isolate), and make it harder for the PreParser to start to know more about
variables and scoping.

c7851da4ae Introduce LanguageMode, drop StrictMode.
This enables adding more language modes in the future.

For maximum flexibility, LanguageMode is a bitmask, so we're not restricted to
use a sequence of language modes which are progressively stricter, but we can
express the language mode as combination of features.

For now, LanguageMode can only be "sloppy" or "strict", and there are
STATIC_ASSERTS in places which need to change when more modes are added.

LanguageMode is a bit like the old LanguageMode when "extended" mode was still
around (see https://codereview.chromium.org/8417035 and
https://codereview.chromium.org/181543002 ) except that it's transmitted through
all the layers (there's no StrictModeFlag).

b004b1d821 Move object literal checking into checker classes
This removes the duplicate property check from object literals.

Instead we repurpose the ObjectLiteralChecker into two cases, implemented
by two subclasses to ObjectLiteralCheckerBase called ObjectLiteralChecker
and ClassLiteralChecker.

The object literal checker now only checks for duplicate __proto__ fields in
object literals.

The class literal checker checks for duplicate constructors, non constructor
fields named constructor as well as static properties named prototype.

Arrow function parameter lists are parsed as expressions. When an identifier

aeb3a71740 Begin modernization of --harmony-modules
The approach taken in this CL is to incrementally move toward the
currently-specced version of modules in ES6. The biggest change in this
patch is separating the parsing of modules from the parsing of scripts,
getting rid of the 'module' keyword and thus disallowing modules-in-scripts
as well as modules-in-modules.

The syntax supported by import/export declarations has not yet been significantly
changed, with the major exception being that import declarations require a string
as the 'from' part.

Most of the existing tests have been disabled, with a first new test added
in cctest/test-parsing.

978f41a1da RegExpParser: Fix Reset()ting to the end.
The bug would occur when we try to Reset() to a position already at the end.

This happens e.g., when the regexp ends with \u. What used to happen in that
case: 1) Advance past \ and u (to the end) (which wouldn't increase next_pos_
enough) 2) Try to parse 4 hex digits 3) When that failed, Reset() to the
position which should've been at the end but wasn't.

To be able to properly Reset() to a position at the end, we need to allow
next_pos_ to move beyond the end (since position() is next_pos_ - 1).

Minimal repro case:

var r = /foo\u/
r.test("foou") // should be true, was false.

(Note that \u not followed by 4 hex didits should be interpreted as an identity
escape. It already worked unless \u was at the end of the regexp.)

6680fd1591 Handle invalid parser cache gracefully (move invalid cache handling to embedder).
Blink already has code for handling invalid cached data. The attached test
ensures that cached data is gracefully rejected if it cannot be used.

This also unifies parser cache and code cache handling.

93cd816c07 Make TemplateLiteral hashing algorithm more memory efficient
Previously, a separate string to be hashed (in order to help determine the need to
use a cached Template Call Site) was built up by joining UTF8 spans within a template.

Now, the hash key is generated from the original spans, removing the need to allocate a new
buffer and copy bytes into it.

aa6815c79a Classes: Add support for arguments in default constructor
This is currently done by generating a default constructor that looks
like this:

  constructor() {
    %DefaultConstructorSuperCall();
  }

The a runtime function implements the logic which is pretty similar to
Runtime_Apply except that it uses the [[Prototype]] of the current
function.

This is the second try. The first failed because the test was using a
array that was too large for Function.prototype.apply.

94a08565d7 Parser & internalizing: efficiency fixes.
1) In ParseLazy, we're already using the heap, so we can also tell
AstValueFactory to internalize immediately. This is more efficient.

2) No need to collect the values in values_ and strings_ if they're already
internalized.

3) No need to collect AstValues which are strings in values_ since they don't
need to be internalized (the underlying strings will be internalized
separately).

ad3a1a99d3 Refactor parser Checkpoints.
Why this is better:

1) Not needing an extra template parameter for Checkpoints ctors. This was
especially confusing since the template parameter was named Parser and Parser is
also used as a type name and is also a concrete type. This CL makes it clear
that ParserTraits::Checkpoint is consturcted with ParserBase<ParserTraits> -
that's the only sensemaking type for the ctor param anyway.

2) This CL makes ParserBase define a Checkpoint base class (which knows how
to create and restore a checkpoint with ParserBase) which
PreParserTraits::Checkpoint and ParserTraits::Checkpoint inherit, and not the
other way around.

This is a more intuitive way to implement the "base functionality + extending
it" concept than the previous solution. The previous solution was to allow
Traits to define a Checkpoint class and make ParserBase<Traits>::ParserCheckpoint
(which defines the base functionality) inherit from it.

3) This CL moves the Checkpoint class definitions out of the SomeTraits::Type
struct; SomeTraits::Type is supposed to be a collection of typedefs and not
contain anything else.

Checkpoints were introduced in r22925 ( https://codereview.chromium.org/443903003 ).

a42612b4a7 Change ScriptCompiler::CompileOptions to allow for two 'cache' modes
(parser or code) and to be explicit about cache consumption or production
(rather than making presence of cached_data imply one or the other.)

Also add a --cache flag to d8, to allow testing the functionality.

-----------------------------
API change

Reason: Currently, V8 supports a 'parser cache' for repeatedly executing the same script. We'd like to add a 2nd mode that would cache code, and would like to let the embedder decide which mode they chose (if any).

Note: Previously, the 'use cached data' property was implied by the presence of the cached data itself. (That is, kNoCompileOptions and source->cached_data != NULL.) That is no longer sufficient, since the presence of data is no longer sufficient to determine /which kind/ of data is present.

Changes from old behaviour:

- If you previously didn't use caching, nothing changes.
Example:
  v8::CompileUnbound(isolate, source, kNoCompileOptions);

- If you previously used caching, it worked like this:

  - 1st run:
  v8::CompileUnbound(isolate, source, kProduceToCache);
  Then, source->cached_data would contain the
data-to-be cached. This remains the same, except you
need to tell V8 which type of data you want.
  v8::CompileUnbound(isolate, source, kProduceParserCache);

  - 2nd run:
  v8::CompileUnbound(isolate, source, kNoCompileOptions);
with source->cached_data set to the data you received in
the first run. This will now ignore the cached data, and
you need to explicitly tell V8 to use it:
  v8::CompileUnbound(isolate, source, kConsumeParserCache);

aa7198dfdd This CL simplifies var / const by ensuring the behavior is consistent in itself, and with regular JS semantics; between regular var/const and eval-ed var/const.
Legacy const is changed so that a declaration declares a configurable, but non-writable, slot, and the initializer reconfigures it (when possible) to non-configurable non-writable. This avoids the need for "the hole" as marker value in JSContextExtensionObjects and GlobalObjects. Undefined is used instead.

70da8959bc Implement handling of arrow functions in the parser
Arrow functions are parsed from ParseAssignmentExpression(). Handling the
parameter list is done by letting ParseConditionalExpression() parse a comma
separated list of identifiers, and it returns a tree of BinaryOperation nodes
with VariableProxy leaves, or a single VariableProxy if there is only one
parameter. When the arrow token "=>" is found, the VariableProxy nodes are
passed to ParseArrowFunctionLiteral(), which will then skip parsing the
paramaeter list. This avoids having to rewind when the arrow is found and
restart parsing the parameter list.

Note that the empty parameter list "()" is handled directly in
ParsePrimaryExpression(): after is has consumed the opening parenthesis,
if a closing parenthesis follows, then the only valid input is an arrow
function. In this case, ParsePrimaryExpression() directly calls
ParseArrowFunctionLiteral(), to avoid needing to return a sentinel value
to signal the empty parameter list. Because it will consume the body of
the arrow function, ParseAssignmentExpression() will not see the arrow
"=>" token as next, and return the already-parser expression.

The implementation is done in ParserBase, so it was needed to do some
additions to ParserBase, ParserTraits and PreParserTraits. Some of the
glue code can be removed later on when more more functionality is moved
to ParserBase.

Additionally, this adds a runtime flag "harmony_arrow_functions"
(disabled by default); enabling "harmony" will enable it as well.

e5991fc373 Implement handling of arrow functions in the parser

7367720daa Implement handling of arrow functions in the parser
Arrow functions are parsed from ParseAssignmentExpression. Handling the
parameter list is done by letting ParseConditionalExpression() parse
a comma-separated list of identifiers, and it returns a tree of
BinaryOperation nodes with VariableProxy leaves, or a single
VariableProxy if there is only one parameter. When the arrow token "=>"
is found, the VariableProxy nodes are passed to ParseFunctionLiteral(),
which will then skip parsing the paramaeter list. This avoids having
to rewind when the arrow is found and restart parsing the parameter
list. Note that ParseExpression() expects parenthesized expressions
to not be empty, so checking for a closing parenthesis is added in
handling the empty parameter list "()" will accept a right-paren and
return an empty expression, which means that the parameter list is
empty.

Additionally, this adds the following machinery:

 - A runtime flag "harmony_arrow_functions" (disabled by default).
Enabling "harmony" will enable it as well.
 - An IsArrow bit in SharedFunctionInfo, and accessors for it.
 - An IsArrow bit in FunctionLiteral, accessorts for it, and
a constructor parameter to set its value.
 - In ParserBase: allow_arrow_functions() and set_allow_arrow_functions()
 - A V8 native %FunctionIsArrow(), which is used to skip adding the
"function " prefix when getting the source code for an arrow
   function.

c30c229898 Parser cleanup: Cached data cannot contain errors (removed dead code)
We no longer store the errors in cached data (see Parser::ParseProgram()) and
storing them is an unnecessary optimization. In addition, the code which
extracts errors from cached data is wrong, since it stores the result of
BuildArgs (in ReportMessageAt) and then deletes it.
