f6450b97ec Reland [super] Store home object in Context instead of JSFunction
1) Computed property keys (esp functions in them) shouldn't be inside
the object literal scope.

2) I was using an imprecise "maybe uses super" and storing it to
preparse data. This won't fly, since it pollutes sister scopes and
leads to confusion wrt whether an object literal needs a home object
or not. Made it precise (mostly cancelling changes in the original CL).

3) PreParser::NewSuperPropertyReference was creating a VariableProxy for
this_function (which made it used) -> inconsistent scopes between
parsing and preparsing.

4) MultipleEntryBlockContextScope was messing up the accumulator

Original: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/v8/v8/+/2563275

This saves memory (the home object doesn't need to be stored for each
method, but only once per class) and hopefully makes the home object
a constant in the optimized code.

14c5b0ae67 [config] Add V8_NODISCARD for Scope classes
Scopes in V8 are used to guarantee one or more properties during its
lifetimes. If a scope is not named e.g MyClassScope(args) instead of
MyClassScope scope(args) it will get created and automatically destroyed
and therefore, being useless as a scope. This CL would produce a
compiling warning when that happens to ward off this developer error.

Follow-up to ccrev.com/2552415 in which it was introduced and
implemented for Guard classes.

81d168d012 Implement string literal module export names
Implements https://github.com/tc39/ecma262/pull/2154, which allows
module export names to be string literals.

Semantics highlights:
  - It is a SyntaxError for string literal export names to have unpaired
    UTF16 surrogates.
  - It is a SyntaxError for string literal export names to be used as
    the local name without being followed by a 'from' clause. For example,
    `export { "foo" }` and `export { "foo" as "bar" }` are errors, but
    `export { "foo" } from "./module.js"` is allowed.

The remaining failing test262 test is wrong:

c7c8472ddc [cleanup] Clean up SYNCHRONIZED_ACCESSORS macro naming and its uses
We can use tag dispatching to distinguish between the synchronized and
non-synchronized accessors. Also eliminated the need of adding explicit
"synchronized" in the name when using the macros.

As a note, we currently have one case of using both relaxed and
synchronized accessors (Map::instance_descriptors).

Cleaned up:
 * BytecodeArray::source_position_table
 * Code::code_data_container
 * Code::source_position_table
 * FunctionTemplateInfo::call_code
 * Map::instance_descriptors
 * Map::layout_descriptor
 * SharedFunctionInfo::function_data

1546be9cf8 [runtime] Move string table off-heap
Changes the isolate's string table into an off-heap structure. This
allows the string table to be resized without allocating on the V8 heap,
and potentially triggering a GC. This allows existing strings to be
inserted into the string table without requiring allocation.

This has two important benefits:

  1) It allows the deserializer to insert strings directly into the
     string table, rather than having to defer string insertion until
     deserialization completes.

  2) It simplifies the concurrent string table lookup to allow resizing
     the table inside the write lock, therefore eliminating the race
     where two concurrent lookups could both resize the table.

The off-heap string table has the following properties:

  1) The general hashmap behaviour matches the HashTable, i.e. open
     addressing, power-of-two sized, quadratic probing. This could, of
     course, now be changed.

  2) The empty and deleted sentinels are changed to Smi 0 and 1,
     respectively, to make those comparisons a bit cheaper and not
     require roots access.

  3) When the HashTable is resized, the old elements array is kept
     alive in a linked list of previous arrays, so that concurrent
     lookups don't lose the data they're accessing. This linked list
     is cleared by the GC, as then we know that all threads are in
     a safepoint.

  4) The GC treats the hash table entries as weak roots, and only walks
     them for non-live reference clearing and for evacuation.

  5) Since there is no longer a FixedArray to serialize for the startup
     snapshot, there is now a custom serialization of the string table,
     and the string table root is considered unserializable during weak
     root iteration. As a bonus, the custom serialization is more
     efficient, as it skips non-string entries.

As a drive-by, rename LookupStringExists_NoAllocate to
TryStringToIndexOrLookupExisting, to make it clearer that it returns
a non-string for the case when the string is an array index. As another
drive-by, extract StringSet into a separate header.

a9b7830d3a Ensure bytecode isn't flushed when allocating feedback vector
This is a followup of the cl [1] that fixes a bug where bytecode was
getting flushed when allocating feedback vector. The fix added
IsCompiledScope before allocating a new feedback vector. We now pass
IsCompiledScope to JSFunction::EnsureFeedbackVector. This makes it
explicit that EnsureFeedbackVector expects a function that is compiled
and the bytecode shouldn't be flushed during the allocation.Also adds
a test.

120d433345 Reland "[turbofan] Improve equality on NumberOrOddball"
This is a reland of 6204768bab

The original issue exposed the problem that NumberEqual performs
implicit conversion of oddballs to numbers, which is incorrect for
abstract equality comparison (i.e. 0 == null must not be true).

This reland fixes this by applying the following steps:
* Introduced a new kNumberOrBoolean value for CompareOperationFeedback,
  CompareOperationHint, TypeCheckKind and CheckedTaggedInputMode.
* In CodeStubAssembler::Equal: Further distinguish between boolean and
  non-boolean oddballs and set feedback accoringly.
* In JSTypedLowering: Construct [Speculative]NumberEqual operator with
  CompareOperationHint::kNumberOrBoolean, when this feedback is present.
  JSOperatorBuilder and operator cache are extended accordingly.
* In SimplifiedLowering: Propagate a UseInfo with new
  TypeCheckKind::kNumberOrBoolean.
* This leads to the generation of CheckedTaggedToFloat64 in
  RepresentationChanger with new CheckedTaggedInputMode::kNumberOrBoolean.
* In EffectControlLinearizer: Handle this new mode. Accept and convert
  number and boolean and deopt for rest.

6204768bab [turbofan] Improve equality on NumberOrOddball
This CL cleans up CompareOperationFeedback by replacing it with a
composable set of flags. The interpreter is changed to collect
more specific feedback for abstract equality, especially if oddballs

TurboFan is changed to construct SpeculativeNumberEqual operator

shown a local speedup of a factor of 3-10, because the specific

it also enables additional optimizations, further improving

9d3cca1cd3 s390: [arm] Add missing RELATIVE_CODE_TARGET iteration
Port b766299d2c
Port 9592b043ee
Port d915b8d668

Original Commit Message:

    Code object iteration was missing logic for RELATIVE_CODE_TARGET
    reloc entries. Garbage collection could thus miss objects that were
    referenced only as targets of pc-relative calls or jumps.

    RELATIVE_CODE_TARGETs are only used on arm, mips, and s390 and only
    at mksnapshot-time.

    This exposed another issue in that the interpreter entry trampoline
    copy we generate for profiling *did* contain relative calls in
    runtime-accessible code. This is a problem, since code space on arm is,
    by default, too large to be fully addressable through pc-relative
    calls. This CL thus also disables the related
    FLAG_interpreted_frames_native_stack feature on arm.

    objects.

b097a8e5de [api] Create v8::String::NewFromLiteral that returns Local<String>
String::NewFromLiteral is a templated function that takes a char[N]
argument that can be used as an alternative to String::NewFromUtf8 and
returns a Local<String> rather than a MaybeLocal<String> reducing the
number of ToLocalChecked() or other checks.

Since the string length is known at compile time, it can statically
assert that the length is less than String::kMaxLength, which means that
it can never fail at runtime.

This also converts all found uses of NewFromUtf8 taking a string literal
or a variable initialized from a string literal to use the new API. In
some cases the types of stored string literals are changed from const
char* to const char[] to ensure the size is retained.

This API does introduce a small difference compared to NewFromUtf8. For
a case like "abc\0def", NewFromUtf8 (using length -1 to infer length)
would treat this as a 3 character string, whereas the new API will treat
it as a 7 character string.

As a drive-by fix, this also fixes all redundant uses of
v8::NewStringType::kNormal when passed to any of the String::New*
functions.

9d3dc6f219 [interpreter] Make FunctionEntry StackCheck bytecodes implicit
FunctionEntry StackChecks is one of the two cases where we generate a
StackCheck bytecode. In these cases, we do stack check against the js
limit (not to be confused with the real js limit). Their purpose is to
be able to interrupt the running code.

We can omit the FunctionEntry StackCheck by embedding its code into
the InterpreterEntryTrampoline builtin. We save one bytecode per
interpreted function.

This change has rippling effects for optimized code, as well as the
deoptimizer.

7a20b6b9d3 [offthread] Add an OffThreadIsolate
The Factory/OffThreadFactory allows us to cleanly separate object
construction behaviour between main-thread and off-thread in a
syntactically consistent way (so that methods templated on the factory
type can be made to work on both).

However, there are cases where we also have to access the Isolate, for
handle creation or exception throwing. So far we have been pushing more
and more "customization points" into the factories to allow these
factory-templated methods to dispatch on this isolate behaviour via
these factory methods. Unfortunately, this is an increasing layering
violation between Factory and Isolate, particularly around exception
handling.

Now, we introduce an OffThreadIsolate, analogous to Isolate in the same
way as OffThreadFactory is analogous to Factory. All methods which were
templated on Factory are now templated on Isolate, and methods which
used to take an Isolate, and which were recently changed to take a
templated Factory, are changed/reverted to take a templated Isolate.
OffThreadFactory gets an isolate() method to match Factory's.

Notably, FactoryHandle is changed to "HandleFor", where the template
argument can be either of the Isolate type or the Factory type (allowing
us to dispatch on both depending on what is available).

24c83d4918 [modules] Setup module exports in Runtime_DeclareModuleExports
This changes how we setup modules from being entirely bytecode based to a
single fixed array with metadata that's passed into a runtime function
DeclareModuleExports, similar to DeclareGlobals. This is preperatory work to
replace the bytecode that calls those functions with explicit calls before we
even start running the code. In the case of modules that will obviate the need
for modules to be generators.
