It calls Append(void*), which calls the pure virtual CreateNode(), which will
crash, as the required override can't be called from the base class ctor.
This typedef is redundant with the "reference" one and doesn't seem to
be used anywhere.
As with the previous commit, this one could be reverted later if it
turns out it does break any existing code, but this seems unlikely.
This typedef is completely redundant with pointer_type which had been
also available in these classes since the very beginning and seems to
have been meant to be private originally, so it should be safe to just
remove it, especially because I couldn't find any existing code using
it.
If we do find such code in the wild later, this commit could be reverted
as it's not really indispensable.
Define "pointer", "reference", "difference_type" and "iterator_category"
typedefs to ensure that wxList iterator classes are seen as iterators by
the standard library in C++11 and later, as otherwise standard container
template ctors taking iterators couldn't be used with them because
they're only available if input iterator requirements are satisfied.
This notably fixes creation of std::list from wxList iterators; add a
test which didn't compile before to show it.
Don't support this compiler any more, this allows to get rid of tons of
MSVC6-specific workarounds, in particular we can now use Bind() and natural
template functions calls in the library code.
Also remove MSVC6 project and solution files and don't generate them when
bakefile_gen is ran any more (removing the remaining occurrences of msvc6prj
from the bakefiles results in weird bake-time errors, so it's simpler to just
leave them there).

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Even though most compilers just ignore this, it's just wrong and if you
do get warnings about header files, they can become quite overwhelming.
Forward port of r70163.

Previously, wxUSE_STL enabled both implicit conversion of wxString to
std::[w]string and use of standard containers for the implementation of their
wx equivalents. Split up the two roles now by allowing to enable the use of
the standard containers independently of (backwards incompatible) implicit
conversion in wxString and actually enable wxUSE_STD_CONTAINERS by default.

The returned value was the same as the iterator that was passed in which could
even be invalid when appending.
Fix the wrong use of postfix decrement instead of prefix one and handle the
case of appending correctly.

It used to return a pointer in wxUSE_STL==0 build and an object in
wxUSE_STL==1 one making checking its return value difficult without provoking
warnings from either MSVC or g++ (see #11038).
Also, all the other occurrences of Member() already returned bool, including
the one in wxStringList so changing it to return bool in wxList itself is more
consistent.

- implements YieldFor() with event filtering for wxMSW and wxGTK,
adds TODO markers in other ports;
- replaces wxYield() in GTK's clipboard code with a wxTheApp->YieldFor() call, thus fixing possible reentrancies
(and modifies clipboard sample to test synchronous IsSupported calls)
- replaces wxYieldIfNeeded() calls in wxProgressDialog with wxTheApp->YieldFor() calls, so that it processes only
UI/user-input events, thus fixing the race condition visible in the "thread" sample
- documents the new functions
