432efcb004 wxMemoryDC constructor now optionally accepts a wxBitmap parameter, 
calling SelectObject itself if a valid bitmap is passed.

ef5c70f96f Many changes: 
- Introduced GTKGetWindow() which returns all GdkWindows associated with the
  given wxWindow
- Renamed IsOwnGtkWindow() to GTKIsOwnWindow() to avoid confusion with the old
  virtual function (the new one is non-virtual and is implemented in terms of
  GTKGetWindow())
- Refactored/simplified event handlers code in gtk/window.cpp
- Fixed some header guards names (__GTKFOO__ -> _WX_GTK_FOO_H_)
- Added GTKUpdateCursor() which sets the current cursor for all windows
  returned by GTKGetWindow()
- Factored out code from many different classes in wxControl::OnInternalIdle()
  which now updates the cursor, checks for internal focus and sends update UI
  events

830f8f11bc 1. changed all "wxMBConv& conv" parameters to "const wxMBConv&" 
2. this allows to use wxConvAuto() instead of wxConvUTF8 as default value
   for this parameter in the classes which read text from the file: wxConvAuto
   automatically recognizes the BOM at the start of file and uses the correct
   conversion
3. don't use Windows for UTF-7 conversions as there is no way to make it
   fail on invalid UTF-7 strings; use our own wxMBConvUtf7 instead

eec47cc6c4 Described in the comments and documented the semantics of the parameters and 
return values of wxMBConv methods and tried to make them more consistent. The
only (intentional) backwards incompatible change is that cMB2WC/cWC2MB now
return the length of the converted string in outLen parameter and not length+1

Added wxMBConv::GetMBNul() and use it instead of supposing that all multibyte
strings are always terminated with a single NUL which is wrong for UTF-16/32.

Using GetMBNul(), completely rewrote cMB2WC/cWC2MB() to accept a string of the
specified length, whether it is NUL-terminated or not. This means that they
don't overwrite the provided buffer any more and convert the entire string in
all cases.

Fixed bug in wxMBConvUTF16::WC2MB() which didn't NUL-terminate the string
properlyv even if there was enough space.

05886ed3f2 Enable wxListCtrl in report mode to be able to use images in other 
columns, if ComCtl32 >= 470.  All it needed was to add the
LVS_EX_SUBITEMIMAGES style, everything else was already in place, and
the generic control already supports it too.

7dd40b6f4b Added wxGetMouseState which returns the current state of the mouse. 
Returns an instance of a wxMouseState object that contains the current
position of the mouse pointer in screen coordinants, as well as
boolean values indicating the up/down status of the mouse buttons and
the modifier keys.  Implemented for wxMSW, wxGTK and wxMac.

3c542a4de0 Remove assert from wxNativeFontInfo::GetFamily() due to, in case of some gtk+ setup/themes, querying for an 
nonexistent facenames family through wxSystemSettings::GetFont(wxSYS_DEFAULT_GUI_FONT) on startup.

d26adb9df7 Fixed several bugs in wxDateTime timezone handling: 
- ToTimezone() and MakeTimezone() now work as expected
 - added and documented FromTimezone() and MakeFromTimezone()
 - Set(double jdn) interprets jdn always in UTC
 - updated ParseRfc822Date() timezone handling
 - removed workarounds for old bugs from the test

992b3f1da4 Fixed dangling pointers bug; radio button was not removing itself from 
the cycle when deleted, so when deleting and then adding a radio button, we
get a crash

996994c714 Allow displaying Japanese character with wxMotif/ANSI under a 
Japanese EUC-JP locale:

- add a #define (wxMOTIF_NEW_FONT_HANDLING) defaulting to
  off
- factor the code for getting text extents in a central
  wxGetTextExtent function
- when the new font handling is enabled load a fontset instead of
  a single font. For non-Japanese locales this should load a fontset
  containing a single font.
- on a Japanese locale set the default point size to 15: the Japanese
  fonts I have are much more readable like this.
- do not set the wordwrap property for multiline wxTextCtrl with
  OpenMotif 2.1, otherwise it crashes when text is added
