Still use Connect() in unit tests which were written explicitly for it
and in EventConnector, which can't use Bind() as it uses a variable for
the event type.
No real changes, just use the newer and more convenient function.
This is useful to allow checking that the expected events are sent for
the custom editor in the second page of the sample too, in addition to
the standard ones used in the first page.
Previously this event was not sent at all if editing the item was
cancelled, e.g. by pressing Esc.
Do send it now from the generic implementation and update the sample to
show this event.
See #17835.
Simply translate wxEVT_HEADER_END_REORDER into this event, which was
previously only sent by the macOS version.
GtkTreeView doesn't seem to support column drag-and-drop at all, so this
event is still never generated by wxGTK.
Closes#14297.
For consistency with wxListCtrl under MSW (which is the only platform
where this change has any effect, as wxHD_BITMAP_ON_RIGHT is only
supported there), put the column images on the right side in
wxDataViewCtrl too.
Closes#13350.
This undocumented "private" class was used for various windows UxTheme
functions which are available since WinXP. As wxWidgets 3.1 is XP+ it
does not make sense anymore to load the theme functions dynamically.
Recent optimizations avoiding resort on item change (see
https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/642) have also optimized
away refreshing the modified item, which was done implicitly, as a side
effect of resorting, before, so the changes were not reflected on
display immediately any longer.
Fix this by simply refreshing the item explicitly and also add a way to
test for the correct behaviour in the sample.
Handle "&" in exactly the same way as "&" in wxMarkupParser, i.e. do not
map the former to "&&" to prevent it from being interpreted as a mnemonic as
this is incompatible with using markup for anything but the control labels,
e.g. for wxDataViewCtrl items text, in which mnemonics are not recognized.
And even when using markup for control labels, it was a questionable decision
as it's really not clear at all why should the XML entity and the raw
character itself be handled differently.
Also split wxMarkupText into two classes, wxMarkupText that handles
mnemonics in the markup (which is typically a label) and a very
similar, but not derived, wxItemMarkupText that handles mnemonics-less
markup for list etc. items, uses DrawItemText() and supports
ellipsizing.
Illustrate the use of ampersands in the dataview sample.
This library is now required when wxUSE_ACCESSIBILITY==1, but was only linked,
using a compiler-specific pragma, when using MSVC resulting in link errors
with gcc.
Fix this by adding the library to the bakefile for non-MSVC compilers and
rebaking.
The code handling background colour was commented out for some reason, simply
enable it as it seems to be working just fine -- and update the sample to show
that it does.
Update misc/scripts/inc_release script: remove non-existent any more files and
update the version in the MSVS 200x project files not generated by bakefile
any more and MSVS 201x project files which were not previously taken into
account.
Run it and rebake.
Try to show as much useful information as possible for the available width,
notably show the time fully, including seconds, which was never done before.
Also add a date column to the dataview sample to allow seeing how this works
in practice.
See #16640.
Increasing it to 10000000 in r77905 brought both the native GTK (see #16741)
and OSX (see #16740) wxDataViewCtrl implementation to their knees, so don't do
this.
This is, of course, just hiding the real bug, but still better than not
allowing people to run the sample at all.

Explicitly include $(BCCDIR)/include/windows/sdk directory in the resource
compiler options, as it needs it to find windows.h.

If we specify the horizontal alignment, we also need to specify the vertical
alignment as otherwise the right-aligned columns would be also top-aligned,
looking out of kilter with the other columns which are centered by default.

This makes the code (slightly) shorter and more clear and is more efficient as
selecting all items in wxDataViewCtrl is now a O(1) operation instead of being
O(N), where N is the number of items -- and the latter could take quite a long
time (and consume non-negligible amount of memory) for large N.
Increase the size of the virtual list control from 1000 to 10000000 in the
sample to show this.

This merges in the latest sources from GSoC 2014 wxQt project with just a few
minor corrections, mostly undoing wrong changes to common files in that branch
(results of a previous bad merge?) and getting rid of whitespace-only changes.
Also remove debug logging from wxGrid.

Update bakefile configuration to include x64 configurations into MSVS 2005 and
2008 projects (2003 doesn't support building in 64 bits, 2010 and later are
manually maintained and already have them) and rebake the projects.

This compiler is not being developed since several years and almost certainly
can't be used to build the current wxWidgets sources anyhow, so remove all
support for it, including a lot of extremely ugly workarounds for its bugs
with template functions.

Most importantly, this allows us to remove all MSLU-related stuff.
Some functions which were previously loaded dynamically can now be just used
directly, too.

Don't support this compiler any more, this allows to get rid of tons of
MSVC6-specific workarounds, in particular we can now use Bind() and natural
template functions calls in the library code.
Also remove MSVC6 project and solution files and don't generate them when
bakefile_gen is ran any more (removing the remaining occurrences of msvc6prj
from the bakefiles results in weird bake-time errors, so it's simpler to just
leave them there).

This allows to pass extra arguments to windres, which is especially important
when using 64 bit windres for building 32 bit applications as the generated .o
file uses a wrong architecture unless "-F pe-i386" is explicitly specified.
