2fa876e839 Adwaita: Use a mixin for visible focus rings 
The focus-ring() mixin allows we to flexibly style the focus ring for
each widget. By using this, we can get rid of the "Outlines" section,
which is out of place in the _common.scss file.

This commit also has the following changes:

- Transition the focus rings on most widgets.
- Add a missing focus ring to iconview.
- Move the expander-widget focus ring to its title.
- Move the notebook focus ring to its checked tab.

9fe6bc0792 HC: fix switch slider borders 
- HC got caught up on a condition made for color (suggested) buttons.
  the rule just made the slider a tag lighter on dark probably due to the
  overlaid AA making it stronger. Got rid of it for now, if someone cares
  enough we can reintroduce an exception (that doesn't break HC).

- Fix broken visited link styling by avoiding invalid selector
  `🔗visited` - CSS :link and :visited are mutually exclusive.
- In link button, move %link from the child label to the parent button,
  so that the hover/active effect is applied within the whole button and
  the visited style is applied correctly.
- Remove invalid selectors `:backdrop:backdrop`.

b6353a6369 Adwaita: drop text shadows for buttons 
- People seem to misunderstand the unsharp-mask-like increase
  of visual contrast for "fuziness". That is not the reason for
  the change. The stylistic change of just going with flat
  text label allows to simplify the code and drop complexity.

e6fcac29b5 Adwaita: slightly increase contrast for treeview borders 
- sligtly increase contrast for the treeview borders
- FIXME: High Contrast seems to drop the borders completely,
  there might be some trickery for using border-left-color and
  border-top-color this way as even forcing the color 'red' seems
  to render invisible on HC.

f1003d6ae8 Rename GResources for standard GTK themes 
After commit 2ab9be54fb we had to rename
the generated CSS files to be included into the GResource bundle; we
kept the URI stable to avoid too much churn, and allow backporting the
change to the 3.24 stable branch. This had the adverse effect of making
it harder to debug issues, as the on-disk file name does not match the
location in the GResource that will be used to print out warnings,
errors, and debugging messages.

2ab9be54fb Rename the SCSS files for our themes 
It seems that Meson's gnome.compile_resources() cannot deal with two
files with the same name under different directories, which breaks the
build parallelism because the GResource file ends up not depending on
either the Adwaita or the HighContrast gtk-contained.css file.

This commit only changes the on-disk names of the Adwaita and
HighContrast SCSS files, and the corresponding generated CSS files; the
files in the GResource are going to be aliased to the old file names, to
minimise the breakage. We might want to change the theme entry points at
some later date, if we decide to commit to this naming scheme.

4071e1e734 build: require sassc and drop generated .css files 
Instead of requiring sassc to be installed add meson subprojects
which build libsass and sassc (currently both forks of mine, tested
under linux/mingw/msvc) when needed.

This allows us to drop the generated .css files and build scripts from git.

baeadea342 calendar: Use widgets for the header 
This is not meant to be a full GtkCalendar conversion to use widgets
instead of custom drawing, but we lost the arrows in the calendar header
when builtin icons were removed. Using proper button for the year/month
buttons brings them back.

e13692c52f Fix Emoji completion 
This was broken in various ways; Tabbing between pages
was causing segfaults, and using the hover state like
this does not work anymore, with hover now being completely
managed by GTK. Use focus instead, and also fix up the
style.

0d9a7fe089 Adwaita: Remove wildcards 
Selectors like *:disabled or *:link have bad performance
implications, since they cause all styles to be recomputed
when the state of the window changes. Replace these by a
list of the elements that are actually affected.

982d73df0b adwaita: Solve junction problem without border image 
This genius piece of CSS colors only the top left (or top right in RTL)
pixel of the scrollbar junction.
Doing it this way is better because we don't have to upload a cairo node
every frame.

e6270ca43f Set HighContrast tooltip back to black text over white background 
8abdbfee16 pulled Adwaita tooltip selectors,
but in the meantime the colors were also set to Adwaita's. Push back the same
behaviour as before because it's better for visually-impaired users.

87ea0253aa themes: remove various @extend with compound selectors 
They are no longer supported by sass and broken with libsass 3.6.3
(https://github.com/sass/libsass/issues/3033)

This removes them by replacing them with a placeholder selector. This at
least brings the resulting CSS size down a bit so gtk can be build
again.

`%button.flat.suggested-action` has been replaced by
`%selection_mode_button_flat`, which is a more appropriate selector for
`.selection-mode button.titlebutton`.

link target uses `$selected_bg_color` and `$selected_fg_color` for the
definition of some selectors (e.g. selected).

While `$link_color` and `$link_visited_color` are based on
`$selected_bg_color`, this does not seem coherent.

Replacing `$selected_*g_color` in link target style with link colors
defined in `_colors.scss file`.

b4b7fe122e Adwaita: remove unwanted spacing for boxes as titlebars 
A GtkBox in a titlebar could have unwanted spacing.
This caused a glitch in split-header applications where
parts of the titlebar would be transparent or black.

This commit tweaks Adwaita to make sure no spacing is added for boxes when used as titlebars.

6d20fe0bf9 expander: Rename CSS nodes 
The expander icon is renamed from "arrow" to "expander".
The expander widget itself is renamed from "expander" to
"expander-widget" (Better ideas welcome).

This makes it possible to have an "expander" icon in more places then
the GtkExpander widget (in particular in tree lists) and not
confuse it with arrows.

GtkPopoverMenus should mimic menus. Commit d936967b7a introduced
some CSS related to menu popovers, however, it hardcodes 'white'
as the background color. That is problematic for the dark theme.

Use '$menu_color' instead of 'white', since $menu_color both
guarantees menu popovers and menus match, and already handles
different colors for dark and light theme variants.

ea527812a0 HighContrast: fix focus 
We don't want to render focus rectangles on everything. With
the way focus is propagated nowadays, the theme has to selectively
render focus on certain widgets.

At the same time, we always want to render focus for this

7aad0896a7 entry: Use a label as placeholder 
This gives us a better way of choosing the color of the placeholder text
(and enabled general css styling on it of course).

Closes #378 (If you want to keep the placeholder on focused and empty
entries, just don't set the placeholder opacity to 0 in
entry:focus>placeholder. This is the default behavior but this commit
includes a rule in Adwaita to hide it.

f1e24ca30a Adwaita: Propagate bg color to titlebar separator descendants 
Gives the same background color to all separators descending from a
title bar than to its direct childrens.

This prevents separators which are in a titlebar but not direct children
from the widget with the titlebar style class from being almost
transparent and hence it prevent them from revealing the clear color of
the window's titlebar (black).

ef82f1799f Adwaita: prevent devel styling break selection mode 
- Selection mode does not get the special devel styling.

- removed teh last-child() selector for it doesn't work anymore.
  Better style all section of the headerbar than none. Proper fix pending.
