3318da5d1a Replace Thinkness with Thickness. 
The FontMetricsFlags::kUnderlineThinknessIsValid_Flag has a typo in it.
Fortunately no user currently uses this enumeration value by name but
instead uses the getter so the name can be updated.

a1e8f8d8f1 Decouple contrast boost from fake gamma. 
Replace FakeGamma with FontWeightFlags. Largely mechanical, except for
the changes in ignorePreBlend. With this change, text GMs generally look
the same (or at least more similar) in 8888/srgb/gpu/gpusrgb configs.

No public API changes.

d936f63c35 Simplify and combine SkDrawCacheProc and SkMeasureCacheProc to SkPaint::GlyphCacheProc. 
All callers of (the result of) SkPaint::getDrawCacheProc were passing zero as the last two arguments. This is the same as (the result of) SkPaint::getMeasureCacheProc(true).

Per bungeman, make this typedef a member of SkPaint.

Although the typedef is technically public, the only uses are private, so this is not really an API change.

0449bcfb2f add helper to create fancy underlines 
Add a couple of utility functions to SkPaint that return the bounds
of glyphs between a pair of lines.

The common use case envisioned generates the edges of descenders
between the top and bottom bounds of an underline to allow computing
a stroke that skips those descenders.

The implementation stores a linked list in each glyph containing
the bounds of the lines parallel to the advance and the outermost
intersections within those bounds.

When the glyph cache is constructed, the glyph path is intersected
with the bounds and the extreme min and max values within the bounds
is added to an intercept.

Share the text to path iter to construct the data.

Make a half-hearted attempt to support vertical text; while the
vertical implementation is complete; surrounding code (e.g. paint
align) has short-comings with vertical.

If the endcap is not butt, draw the endcaps even when the line
has zero length.

If the dash length is zero, generate a zero length line segment.

Treat a move followed by a close as a move followed by a zero-length
line.

610a015fda Remove SkPaint dirty bits. 
fDirtyBits is only used by SkPaint::FlatteningTraits, which in turn was
only used as a smaller, faster format to flatten paints in-memory to dedup
them in the old picture backend.

SkRecord obsoleted all this.  Neither flatten()/unflatten() (disk format)
nor FlatteningTraits is used anywhere performance or size matters.

Here I revert the deduping code back to using the disk format for flattened paints.
We stil do have to flatten and unflatten paints while coverting from SkRecord
backend to the old backend, so we can't just delete this all yet, but any
faithful round trip flatten()/unflatten() pair will be fine, however slow.

855d83ff79 Uses a single pre-baked set of paths for drawing nvpr text of a given 
typeface. Loads the paths using the driver's glyph loading routines.

Refactors GrPathRange to accept a PathGenerator class that it uses to
lazily initialize its paths. The client code is no longer expected to
initialize the paths in a GrPathRange; instead it must provide a
PathGenerator* instance to createPathRange().

Adds a new createGlyphs() method to GrPathRendering that creates a
range of glyph paths, indexed by glyph id. GrPathRendering implements
createGlyphs() with a PathGenerator that loads glyph paths using the
skia frameworks. GrGLPathRendering uses glMemoryGlyphIndexArrayNV()
instead, when possible, to load the glyph paths.

Removes all GlyphPathRange logic from GrStencilAndCoverTextContext.
It instead uses createGlyphs().

c6cb56f36c Implement text rendering with NVPR 
Use path rendering to render the text from outlines if supported by the
GPU. Implement this in GrStencilAndCoverTextContext by copying chunks of code
from GrBitmapTextContext.

The drawing is implemented with "instanced" path drawing functions.

Moves the creation of the "main" text context from SkGpuDevice to the
GrContext::createTextContext. This is done because the decision of which text
renderer is optimal can be made only with the internal implementation-specific
information of the context.

Remove a windows assertion from SkScalerContext_GDI::getGDIGlyphPath.  The
GetGlyphOutlineW fails in fontmgr_match for the initial space char in the string
" [700] ...". According to MSDN, this is a known problem.  Just return that the
glyph has no path data in these cases.

4d517fdbb1 Gamma correction for distance field text.

d017542551 Merge tomhudson and mtklein SkPaint shrinking approaches. 
I think this is cherry picking the best parts of both our CLs.  We've got dirty bit tracking from Tom's, picture format stability from Mike's, etc.  Paints are typically 1/3 their original size when flattened in the dictionary.

bench_record on my desktop looks promising.  Generally, looks faster.  (Best in monospace.)

8b0e8ac5f5 Refactor read and write buffers. 
Eliminates SkFlattenable{Read,Write}Buffer, promoting SkOrdered{Read,Write}Buffer
a step each in the hierarchy.

What used to be this:

SkFlattenableWriteBuffer -> SkOrderedWriteBuffer
SkFlattenableReadBuffer  -> SkOrderedReadBuffer
SkFlattenableReadBuffer  -> SkValidatingReadBuffer

is now

SkWriteBuffer
SkReadBuffer -> SkValidatingReadBuffer

Benefits:
  - code is simpler, names are less wordy
  - the generic SkFlattenableFooBuffer code in SkPaint was incorrect; removed
  - write buffers are completely devirtualized, important for record speed

This refactoring was mostly mechanical.  You aren't going to find anything
interesting in files with less than 10 lines changed.

8128d8c119 Move distance field font code into GrDistanceFieldTextContext. 
This avoids the SkDraw path and renders the distance field glyphs directly from
GrDistanceFieldTextContext. It also disables LCD, subpixel and autohinting, and
removes the supporting code when rendering DF fonts.

2822c9a92b Nobody defines SK_SUPPORT_HINTING_SCALE_FACTOR any more, so remove it. 
I left the dummy value in the flattened paint.  I'm hoping to do an overhaul of
the paint serialization format which will need a picture version bump anyway,
so it can all go together.  If that doesn't pan out we can remove this on its
own later.

aac2fb8019 move kStyleCount out of Style enum, and into its own, to avoid 
1. someone passing kStyleCount as a parameter
2. warnings about not handling all enum values in a switch

We should probably move to remove kCountFoo from all of our enums for these reasons.

54924243c1 Cleanup code related to SkFlattenable::flatten() 
The following changes were made by this CL:

1. Make flatten() a protected method as callers should use
   SkFlattenableWriteBuffer to flatten an object
2. Make flatten a const method (including subclasses)
3. Mark subclass implementation of flatten with SK_OVERRIDE
4. Ensure overridden flatten impls call their parent
5. Remove no-op implementations of flatten from subclasses

Additionally, if necessary the unflattening constructor was
also moved to the protected section of the subclasses
header if it was not already there.

9efd9a048a extend fastbounds impls to include maskfilters and drawloopers. This allows 
us to perform quick-rejects when drawing objects with shadows (esp. text).
WebKit draws shadows w/ a looper (fg and shadow) and a maskfilter on the
shadow layer.

8351aabbfe add GenA8FromLCD as a hack to force GDI to create the A8 mask from the LCD 
results, rather than asking GDI directly for A8 (which it sometimes decides
to interpret as BW)

b44cd65a53 Fix Paint == comparison on Android. 
The == operator was incorrect because of Androids use of
fGenerationID. This change moves the ID to the end of the
paint struct and omits it from the == comparison.
