This patch implements https://github.com/tc39/proposal-class-fields/pull/269
and makes sure we always throw TypeError when there is invalid private
name access in computed property keys.
Before this patch, private name variables of private fields and methods
are initialized together with computed property keys in the order they
are declared. Accessing undefined private names in the computed property
keys thus fail silently.
After this patch, we initialize the private name variables of private
fields before we initialize the computed property keys, so that invalid
access to private fields in the computed keys can be checked in the IC.
We now also initialize the brand early, so that invalid access to private
methods or accessors in the computed keys throw TypeError during brand
checks - and since these accesses are guarded by brand checks, we can
create the private methods and accessors after the class is
defined, and merge the home object setting with the creation
of the closures.

This patch refactors the declaration and allocation of the class variable, and
implements static private methods:
- The class variable is declared in the class scope with an explicit
reference through class_scope->class_variable(). Anonymous classes
whose class variable may be accessed transitively through static
private method access use the dot string as the class name. Whether
the class variable is allocated depending on whether it is used.
Other references of the class variable in the ClassLiteral AST node
and the ClassInfo structure are removed in favor of the reference
through the class scope.
- Previously the class variable was always (stack- or context-)
allocated if the class is named. Now if the class variable is only
referenced by name, it's stack allocated. If it's used transitively
by access to static private methods, or may be used through eval,
it's context allocated. Therefore we now use 1 less context slots
in the class context if it's a named class without anyone referencing
it by name in inner scopes.
- Explicit access to static private methods or potential access to
static private methods through eval results in forced context
allocation of the class variables. In those cases, we save its index
in context locals in the ScopeInfo and deserialize it later, so that
we can check that the receiver of static private methods is the class
constructor at run time. This flag is recorded as
HasSavedClassVariableIndexField in the scope info.
- Classes that need the class variable to be saved due to
access to static private methods now save a
ShouldSaveClassVariableIndexField in the preparse data so that the
bits on the variables can be updated during a reparse. In the case
of anonymous classes that need the class variables to be saved,
we also re-declare the class variable after the reparse since
the inner functions are skipped and we need to rely on the preparse
data flags to remember declaring it.

Current GetIterator bytecode loads and calls @@iterator property on a
given object. This change extends the bytecode functionality to check
whether the value returned after calling @@iterator property is a valid
JSReceiver. The bytecode throws SymbolIteratorInvalid exception if the
returned value is not a valid JSReceiver. This change absorbs the
functionality of additional two bytecodes - JumpIfJSReceiver and
CallRuntime, that are part of the iterator protocol in the GetIterator
bytecode.

This patch uses a bit in the Variable bit fields to distinguish
static private names from instance private names, so that we
can check the conflicts of private accessors that are complementary
but with different staticness in the parser, and use this
information later when generating code for checking static brands
for private method access.

Reland after disabling the test getting deadlocked with '--gc_stress' flag.
The CL was reverted because of the 'wasm/grow-shared-memory' test from
the mjsunit test suite deadlocked for the 'gc_stress' variant. This is
the known issue (v8:9221) and the deadlocking test is now disabled (
1c8981e3f4).

This patch implements the declaration of private accessors.
When iterating over the class properties, we track private
accessors associated with the same name in a ZoneHashMap.
Once we get to all the necessary components for a private name
(we know statically whether we should expect only a setter,
only a getter, or both), we emit a call to a runtime function
`CreatePrivateAccessors` that creates an AccessorPair, and
store the components in it. The AccessorPair is then associated
with the private name variable and stored in the context
for later retrieval when the private accessors are accessed.

This is the first in a series of changes to reduce the number of
bytecodes generated for the iteration protocol based operations.
The GetIterator bytecode introduced in this change currently loads the
@@iterator symbol from an object that was previously done using the
LdaNamedProperty bytecode. This change uses builtin-based mechanism
that would be extended to perform additional operations in the future
on absorbing the bytecodes associated with the GetIterator operation
from the iteration protocol.

In InterpreterCollectSourcePositions tests always unset
FLAG_stress_lazy_source_positions as the tests cannot work with it due

Fix a cctest/test-bytecode-generator/PrivateMethods mismatch between the
PrivateMethods source string and the snippet in the golden file due to
missing newline at the end of the string. Change C++ raw string back to

Cpplint usually checks for non-const reference arguments. They are
forbidden in the style guide, and v8 does not explicitly make an
exception here.
This CL re-enables that warning, and fixes all current violations by
adding an explicit "NOLINT(runtime/references)" comment. In follow-up
CLs, we should aim to remove as many of them as possible.

Perform a best-effort check for module context and provide an
appropriate error.
As seen from the import-blah-script.js test, we could have invalid
import expressions in a script context that could result in an error
saying "Cannot use import statement outside a module" which isn't
the ideal error because the error is an incorrect import
expression.
But, when the developer changes to a module context, the
correct error is thrown.
To fix this, we'd have to refactor and call ParseImportDeclaration,
and then throw an appropriate error, which seems like a lot of
overhead for not enough gain.

Introduce SourceTextModule as a subclass of Module. Move all the
JavaScript-module-specific code down from Module to
SourceTextModule, with all code applicable to other future
module types remaining in Module.
With this change, Module is roughly equivalent to the spec's
Abstract Module Record and SourceTextModule is roughly equivalent
to Source Text Module Record.

This patch implements the access of private methods:
- When building property loads, check whether it requires
a brand check. If so, build the brand check and load the
property (the method) from the context instead.
- Throw type errors when there is an attempted write to private
methods.

As per the new specs, when the exception is thrown by iterator's return method
while doing iterator close because it is not callable, the exception is
suppressed in the same way as if the return method is called and threw an exception.

Fixes LookupNameOfBytecodeHandler so it actually returns non-nullptr
values with embedded builtins enabled. Also now correctly handles wide

This replaces all typedefs that define types and not functions by the
equivalent "using" declaration.
This was done mostly automatically using this command:
ag -l '\btypedef\b' src test | xargs -L1 \
perl -i -p0e 's/typedef ([^*;{}]+) (\w+);/using \2 = \1;/sg'
Patchset 2 then adds some manual changes for typedefs for pointer types,
where the regular expression did not match.

Tests that expect type feedback vector ensure it by using
%EnsureFeedbackVector intrinsic. These tests now work with lazy feedback
allocation as well. Hence it is no longer required to initialize the
shared function info with a special bailout id.

The {Vector} class does not use it any more. External uses should be
converted to {size_t} instead of {int}.
This CL removes the function from vector.h and updates all users to
either use {size_t}, or cast to {int} explicitly. In tests, no further
checks are needed if the string is a constant.

While crrev.com/c/1520721 tried to avoid collecting source positions
when throw exceptions, it failed because they were still collected in
Isolate::CaptureStackTrace.
This removes that collection point and lets SetStackFrameCacheCommon
bail out when trying to set the stack frame cache for a bytecode that
doesn't have source positions.
It also adds tests that ensure source positions are not collected when
an exception is thrown (although one is disabled as it does not yet
work).

- Add a new ClassScope for block scopes created for classes.
- Add a VariableMap in the class scope for private name resolution,
and a separate UnresolvedList for private names that will be resolved
only using ClassScopes. These are stored in RareData and will only be

Previously when lazy source positions were enabled, source positions
were immediately collected whenever an exception was thrown for every
frame in the stack trace.
This change makes source position collection trigger only when the
source positions of a stack frame are actually accessed with the
exception of the top frame which is still eagerly collected for now.
Additionally when stack overflows occur during source position
collection, the bytecode is marked with exception in the
source_position_table field so it can be distinguished from the case
where source position collection has never been attempted (undefined)
or is not desired because the bytecode is for natives
(empty_byte_array).

This change significantly improves the performance of string
concatenation in optimized code for the case where the resulting string
is represented as a ConsString. On the relevant test cases we go from
serializeNaive: 10762 ms.

which represents a 30% improvement on the "clever" benchmark, which
tests specifically the ConsString creation performance.
This was accomplished via a couple of different steps, which are briefly
outlined here:
1. The empty_string gets its own map, so that we can easily recognize
and handle it appropriately in the TurboFan type system. This
allows us to express (and assert) that the inputs to NewConsString
are non-empty strings, making sure that TurboFan no longer creates
"crippled ConsStrings" with empty left or right hand sides.
2. Further split the existing String types in TurboFan to be able to
distinguish between OneByte and TwoByte strings on the type system
level. This allows us to avoid having to dynamically lookup the
resulting ConsString map in case of ConsString creation (i.e. when
we know that both input strings are OneByte strings or at least
one of the input strings is TwoByte).
3. We also introduced more finegrained feedback for the Add bytecode
in the interpreter, having it collect feedback about ConsStrings,
specifically ConsOneByteString and ConsTwoByteString. This feedback
can be used by TurboFan to only inline the relevant code for what
was seen so far. This allows us to remove the Octane/Splay specific
magic in JSTypedLowering to detect ConsString creation, and instead
purely rely on the feedback of what was seen so far (also making it
possible to change the semantics of NewConsString to be a low-level
operator, which is only introduced in SimplifiedLowering by looking
at the input types of StringConcat).
4. On top of the before mentioned type and interpreter changes we added
new operators CheckNonEmptyString, CheckNonEmptyOneByteString, and
CheckNonEmptyTwoByteString, which perform the appropriate (dynamic)
checks.
There are several more improvements that are possible based on this, but
since the change was already quite big, we decided not to put everything
into the first change, but do some follow up tweaks to the type system,
and builtin optimizations later.

This is a pre-work for allocating feedback vectors lazily. Feedback cells
are required to share the feedback vectors across the different closures
of the same function. Currently, they are held in the CreateClosureSlot
in the feedback vector. With lazy feedback vector allocation, we may not
have a feedback vector. However, we still need a place to store the
feedback cells, so if feedback vector is allocated in future it can still
be shared across closures.

This was a correctness bug due to not properly handling the case of arrays with prototypes other
than Array.prototype. Accesses that were TheHole were not being handled property, both in bounds
holes in holey arrays and out of bounds on either holey or packed arrays. Handling was incorrect
both in access-assembler and in Turbofan.
chromium:935932
This bug was that there was no handling for Has checks on the global object. Turbofan was emitting
code for a store (the 'else' condition on 'access_mode == AccessMode::kLoad'). It hit a DCHECK in
debug builds but in release could show up in different places. This is the bug that caused the
webkit layout test failure that led to the revert.
Both bugs are fixed by in CL, and tests are added for those cases.

Switches on an expression that unconditionally throws would have all their
case statements dead, causing a DCHECK error in the SwitchBuilder. This
fixes up the DCHECK to allow dead labels.

If enable_omit_source_positions is true (defaults to false), source
position tables are not generated when compiling bytecode. They will
then be regenerated when exceptions are thrown.
This adds a new function Compiler::CollectSourcePositions which given a
SharedFunctionInfo with bytecode but no source position table re-parses
and regenerates the bytecode but this time with source positions
collection enabled. Note this will reparse all inner functions that
have previously been compiled since the preparse data is no longer
available.
With the flag enabled there still 18 test failures mostly related to
debugging.

Vars without initialisers don't need to allocate a VariableProxy, as the
proxy expression is not really needed for anything. So, we can special
case declaration parsing to look ahead for a '=' (plus a few other
cases), and skip the variable proxy allocation if it isn't there.
As a side-effect, variables that are only declared but never used are
no longer marked is_used, and thus not allocated. This saves on
generating dead code.

Declare Variables with a name and position, rather than by passing
through a VariableProxy. This allows us to not create dummy proxies
for things like function declarations, and allows us to consider those
declarations unused.
As a side-effect, we also have to check if a variable is unused in the
bytecode generator (as it will no longer be allocated), and we end up
skip generating code/SFIs for dead variables/functions.

Code object iteration was missing logic for RELATIVE_CODE_TARGET
reloc entries. Garbage collection could thus miss objects that were
referenced only as targets of pc-relative calls or jumps.
RELATIVE_CODE_TARGETs are only used on arm, mips, and s390 and only
at mksnapshot-time.
This exposed another issue in that the interpreter entry trampoline
copy we generate for profiling *did* contain relative calls in
runtime-accessible code. This is a problem, since code space on arm is,
by default, too large to be fully addressable through pc-relative
calls. This CL thus also disables the related
FLAG_interpreted_frames_native_stack feature on arm.
Drive-by: Ensure the builtins constants table does not contain Code
objects.

V8 implements "delete this" as "LdaTrue", but an error needs to be thrown
if done in a constructor before calling super. ThrowIfHole checks the
accumulator, so we need to load 'this' into the accumulator. The check is
inserted by the load since it has HoleCheckMode::kRequired

The decision as to whether to optimize an IIFE as oneshot depends on
whether it's outer scope is the script scope. During lazy compile, we
might have discarded scopes which don't need a context between the IIFE
and the script scope, which means we might treat an IIFE as oneshot,
even though initial eager compile treated it as non-oneshot. Both
bytecode flushing and lazy source positions rely on us generating the
same bytecode during lazy compile as eager compile, so we move the
decision into the parser where it happens once and is then stored in
the SFI for any future lazy compiles.

include by moving the one user into heap.cc, and then fix all the
include errors.
This reduces the log.h include ball from ~550 to ~100.

Use variable tracking from ExpressionScopes rather than the PatternRewriter and
PreParserExpression::variables_ to declare variables.
We only figure out that variables are non-simple parameters once we see the
first non-simple parameter. This still uses the pattern rewriter to make
variables non-simple (kLet instead of kVar).

A sloppy function in a block scope implicitily creates a var in the outer
declaration scope if it's not blocked. The assignment created reads the local
lexical declaration for the function. The reference introduced automatically
takes part in NeedsHoleCheck, requiring the reference to have a valid position.
Since the assignment will happen after the local declaration, we give the
end_position() of the closure as the position of the reference, so hole checks
can be omitted.

For desrtucturing assignments from null/undefined, we throw an error
that references the destructuring object literal's property name, e.g.
for
var { x } = null;
we report that we cannot destructure 'x' from null.
Rather than calculating this property during bytecode generation (and
including it in the bytecode as an argument to the type error
constructor), we can calculate it at exception throwing time, by
re-parsing the source in a similar way to the existing call site
rendering.
This slightly decreases bytecode size and slightly decreases the amount
of work the bytecode compiler needs to do. In the future, it could also
allow us to give more detailed error messages, as we now have access to
the entire AST and are on the slow path anyway.

The 'done' setting dance in BuildFillArrayWithIterator turned out to
not be useful, as the StoreInArrayLiteral call could not ever throw an
exception. Since iterator exceptions count as done, we are guarnteed to
be done as soon as we enter the loop.

The IteratorClose spec specifies that exceptions in
%GetMethod(iterator.return) are not suppressed by exceptions in the
given continuation (body of a loop, assignments in destructuring),
while exceptions in the execution of iterator.return() are.
This means that we have to split out the property access + a typeof

The non-split version is only for cases when there is no 'throws'
continuation (as is the case for yield* calling IteratorClose), so
the existing BuildIteratorClose can be renamed to reflect this.

Emit a single destructuring assignment for destructuring declarations,
which can be desugared by the bytecode generator. This allows us to
remove destructuring desugaring from the parser (specifically, the
pattern rewriter) entirely.
The pattern "rewriter" is now only responsible for walking the
destructuring pattern to declare variables, mark them assigned, and
potentially rewrite scopes for the edge case of parameters with a sloppy
eval.
Note that since the rewriter is no longer rewriting, we have to flip the
VariableProxy copying logic for var re-lookup, so that we now pass the
new VariableProxy to the variable declaration and leave the original
unresolved (rather than passing the original through and rewriting to a
new unresolved VariableProxy).
This change does have some effect on breakpoint locations, due to some
of the available information changing between the parser and bytecode
generator, however the new locations appear to be more consistent
between assignments and declarations.

Instead of de-sugaring destructuring assignment in the parser (using the
pattern rewriter), pass the Object/ArrayLiterals through to the bytecode
generator, which can desugar them in-place.
This allows us to decrease the amount of AST node creation, and improve
the generated bytecode using domain-specific knowledge. As a side effect
we partially fix an old execution ordering spec bug.
Currently only implemented for assignments, not declarations, as the
latter has some additional complexity.

Recent versions of the Windows Universal CRT changed the behavior of
fmod for when the first parameter is negative. In particular, a result
of negative zero became positive zero. This is rarely critical but it
causes test failures and may effect some JS test suites or web pages.
The fix is to modify Modulo to check for a result of 0 when the first
parameter is negative and change the result to -0. That fixes four of
the five test failures and the fifth one is fixed by comparing the
results against Modulo instead of std::fmod.

Currently, the runtime IC functions deduce the IC kind and the language
mode from the feedback slot kind. To support feedback free execution
(for V8 lite mode and lazy allocation of feedback vectors) we need to
infer the IC kind even when feedback vectors are not present.
To be able to infer the language mode without feedback vectors, this cl
forces context allocation in cases where we raise the language mode in
the middle of a function. The language mode is the stricter of the
language mode on the SFI and the language mode of the current context.
This cl updates the bytecode handlers to check for valid feedback vectors
and to call into runtime if the feedback vector is not allocated. It also
adds new runtime functions to be able to infer the IC kind when there is no
feedback vector. Most of the builtins and handlers remain unchanged because
they are only used when feedback vector is present.

This marks the InterpreterEntryTrampoline as isolate-independent. With
this change, all builtins are now embedded.
Slight changes were needed to how we deopt into the trampoline. We now
store the entry address within the Interpreter class instead of

Moves the unicode predicate cache tables out of the unicode cache,
and turns them into generic predicates in char-predicates.h which
use static constexpr tables.
This drops the per-isolate cost of unicode caches, and removes the
need for accessing the unicode cache from most files. It does remove
the mutability of the cache, which means that there may be regressions
when parsing non-ASCII identifiers. Most likely the benefits to ASCII
identifiers/keywords will outweigh any non-ASCII costs.

For subtle reasons, this fixes a deoptimizer bug with handling return
values in lazy deopt. Since the return values can now only overwrite
the accumulator, there is no danger of overwriting a captured object

Change the way we start collecting async stack traces by storing the
current microtask as a root instead of trying to make sense of the
last frame we see. This makes it possible to use the zero cost async
stack traces in Node.js as well (where the last JavaScript frame we
see is not the actual async function, but some frame related to the
main event loop usually).
In addition to the benefit that it now works with Node.js, we can also
extend the new machinery to look through (almost arbitrary) promise
chains. For example this code snippet
```js
(async function() {
await Promise.resolve().then(() =>
console.log(new Error().stack));
})();
```
can be made to also show the async function frame, even though at the
point where the stack trace is collected we don't have any async
function on the stack. But instead there's a PromiseReactionJobTask
as "current microtask", and we can dig into the chained promise to
see where the async execution is going to continue and eventually
find the await promise in the chain.
This also removes the removes the need to allocate `.generator_object`
specially during scope resolution.

This JSAsyncFunctionObject represents the implicit generator object
inside of async functions, and also holds the outer promise for the
async functions. This in turn allows us to get rid of the .promise
in the Parser / BytecodeGenerator completely, and will make it
possible to build zero-cost async stack traces independent of the
concrete synchronous part of the stack frame (which currently breaks
in Node.js).
In the bytecode all the async function operations now take this new
JSAsyncFunctionObject instead of passing both the .generator_object
and the .promise, which further simplifies and shrinks the bytecode.
It also reduces the size of async function frames, potentially making
the suspend/resume cheaper.
This also changes `await` to use intrinsics instead of calling to
special JSFunctions on the native context, and thus reduces the size of
the native contexts.
Drive-by-fix: Introduce a dedicated JSCreateAsyncFunctionObject operator
to TurboFan.

This change introduces new intrinsics used to desugar async functions
in the Parser and the BytecodeGenerator, namely we introduce a new
%_AsyncFunctionEnter intrinsic that constructs the generator object
for the async function (and in the future will also create the outer
promise for the async function). This generator object is internal
and never escapes to user code, plus since async functions don't have
a "prototype" property, we can just a single map here instead of tracking
the prototype/initial_map on every async function. This saves one word
per async function plus one initial_map per async function that was
invoked at least once.
We also introduce two new intrinsics %_AsyncFunctionReject, which
rejects the outer promise with the caught exception, and another
%_AsyncFunctionResolve, which resolves the outer promise with the
right hand side of the `return` statement. These functions also perform
the DevTools part of the job (aka popping from the promise stack and
sending the debug event). This allows us to get rid of the implicit
try-finally from async functions completely; because the finally
block only called to the %AsyncFunctionPromiseRelease builtin, which
was used to inform DevTools.
In essence we now turn an async function like
```js
async function f(x) { return await bar(x); }
```
into something like this (in Parser and BytecodeGenerator respectively):

Overall the bytecode for async functions gets significantly shorter
already (and will get even shorter once we put the outer promise into
the async function generator object). For example the bytecode for a
simple async function
```js
async function f(x) { return await x; }
```
goes from 175 bytes to 110 bytes (a ~38% reduction in size), which
is in particular due to the simplification around the try-finally
removal.
Overall this seems to improve the doxbee-async-es2017-native test by
around 2-3%. On the test case mentioned in v8:8276 we go from
1124ms to 441ms, which corresponds to a 60% reduction in total
execution time!

The Parser desugaring didn't use the AsyncReturnStatement consistently
to return from async functions (aka resolve the .promise with the return
value and return the .promise from the async function). Instead the
Parser essentially had a copy of the BytecodeGenerator functionality.

This introduces a new flag --async-stack-traces, which enables zero-cost
async stack traces. This enriches the non-standard Error.stack property
with async stack frames computed from walking up the promise chains and
collecting all the await suspension points along the way. In Error.stack
these async frames are marked with "async" to make it possible to
distinguish them from regular frames, for example:

at async foo (<anonymous>)
```
It's zero-cost because no additional information is collected during the
execution of the program, but only the information already present in the
promise chains is used to reconstruct an approximation of the async stack
in case of an exception. But this approximation is limited to suspension
points at await's in async functions. This depends on a recent ECMAScript
specification change, flagged behind --harmony-await-optimization and
implied the --async-stack-traces flag. Without this change there's no
way to get from the outer promise of an async function to the rest of
the promise chain, since the link is broken by the indirection introduced
by await.
For async functions the special outer promise, named .promise in the
Parser desugaring, is now forcible allocated to stack slot 0 during
scope resolution, to make it accessible to the stack frame construction
logic. Note that this first prototype doesn't yet work fully support
async generators and might have other limitations.

The following runtime functions (and their intrinsic counter parts) are
completely unused/obsolete by now
- %ToInteger
- %GeneratorGetInputOrDebugPos
and in addition the intrinsics for %_ToNumber and %_IsJSProxy are also
dead (according to code coverage and manual verification), so drop them
as well (their runtime function counterparts are still somewhat used).

This always creates the bytecode handlers as part of the builtins table
regardless of the V8_EMBEDDED_BYTECODE_HANDLERS definition.
Lazy deserialization of bytecode handlers is enabled for this flow by
moving the three lazy bytecode deserializers from the strong roots into
the builtins table (ensuring that they not marked lazy themselves).
To simplify lazy deserialization, the illegal bytecode handler is made
non-lazy so that GetAndMaybeDeserializeBytecodeHandler doesn't to know
about it.
Since the bytecode handlers are now always part of the builtins table,
many bytecode specific methods are removed, including logging and in
BuiltinsSerializer and BuiltinsDeserializer.
Removes setup-interpreter.h, setup-interpreter-internal.cc and
builtin-snapshot-utils.*.

IIFE`s within a function are not guaranteed to be executed only once.
They can be called multiple times and compiler can inline them.
Do the one-shot optimizations only for IIFE`s from top-level code.

We do not have to collect feedback for function calls in one-shot code.
This CL avoids allocating CallICslots for each function call by
emitting CallNoFeedback bytecodes. We save one CallICSlot (two entries
in feedback vector) per function call in One-shot.

This is a reland of 1c48d52bb1.
It turned out that IterableToList doesn't always behave according to
the ES operation with the same name. Specifically, it allows holey arrays
to take its fast path, which produces an output array with holes where
actually "undefined" elements should appear.
This CL changes the version of IterableToList that is used for spreads
(IterableToListWithSymbolLookup) such that holey arrays take the slow path.
It also includes tests for such situations.

The SharedFeedbackSlot helper class allow bytecodes to share one feedback
slot. The helper will only create the slot on-demand, at the first-use.
This does not encapsulate the use-case of FeedbackSlotCache.

No need to create allocation site for array literals in oneshot code since
they are executed only once. The interpreter emits a runtime call to
CreateArrayLiteralWithoutAllocationSite for creating literals in
oneshot code instead.
