90da4e72ae [builtins] Remove .incbin test
The .byte directive will be used instead of .incbin since the latter
comes with complications involving build-time dependency detection.

bcf1172992 [arm64] Preparation for padding of arguments
As part of JSSP removal, we need to align the arguments passed to functions
on the stack, by adding a padding slot when the total number of arguments
is odd.

This patch introduces the kPadArguments flag (which is currently set to
false for all architectures), which will control padding of arguments in
architecture-independent parts of the code (deoptimizer, instruction
selector).

It also adds some executable tests for tail calls with various stack
parameter counts on the caller and callee sides.

This will be turned on for arm64 together with arm64-specific changes to
the code generator, the MacroAsembler and the builtins, in a later patch.

1719ecb9dc Add capability to handle CSP 'wasm-eval' in V8
Like CSP flag 'unsafe-eval', which communicates if both JS source
files and WASM binary files may be compiled, this CL adds a similar
flag for the compilation of WASM binary files.

That is, a WASM binary file will be compiled only if the new flag is
defined, or the flag for 'unsafe-eval' allows it. These flags are
implemented as callback functions on the isolate. The callbacks get a
(CSP) context, and a string, and returns the corresponding value of
the flag.

Both callbacks are initialized with the nullptr, and is used to
communicate that no CSP policy is defined. This allows this concept to
work, independent of it running in Chrome.

It also does a small clean up in api.cc to use macro CALLER_SETTERS,
instead of explicit code when appropriate.

4013518fe3 [cctest] Clarify that tests for sync instructions are simulator specific
Some tests were recently added to test-simulator-arm.cc, however this file is
meant for tests that are specific to the simulator and therefore are not written
to work on hardware. While this sounds surprising, the reason is that our simulation
of synchronisation instructions is more conservative than on hardware.

To make this more clear, this patch renames the "test-simulator-arm{,64}.cc"
files to "test-sync-primitives-arm{,64}.cc", and moves the vneg and vabs tests
into "test-assembler-arm.cc" which is were tests that are garanteed to work in
either native or simulated environments live.

Finally, take the opportunity to share a little bit of code.

e737b4ce0d [test] Avoid unnecessary std::vector allocations
Instead of copying an array of fixed values into an std::vector for
each usage of the FOR_INPUTS macro, just iterate the constant data
directly.
This also makes the <type>_vector() functions return {constexpr Vector}
instead of {std::vector}.

b8b25e1c27 [ic] Remove extra-ic-state and Map::code_cache
There are only very few custom compiled IC handlers left that go in there, and for each compiled handler we only have 1 cache hit on top25; maximally saving 60ms over 33s. Additionally we'll migrate the remaining handlers to data-driven handlers anyway. Let's try to remove this code.

690d52afa8 [cleanup] Remove List.
ZoneList still used List as a base class, so this CL merges the two
classes together. We also remove unused functions in List and ZoneList.

We keep the inline header but move it to src/zone/zone-list-inl.h. The
includes that use this header are still quite tangled, but we can fix
that later.

549692cbc0 [wasm] Streaming compilation for WebAssembly.
In this CL I implement streaming compilation for WebAssembly,
as described in the design doc I have sent out already.

In this implementation the decoding of sections other than the
code section is done immediately on the foreground thread.
Eventually all decoding should happen in the background. I
think it is acceptable to do the decoding on the foreground
thread for now because I have finished it already, and
decoding in the background would add even more complexity to
this CL.

c39c6eba00 [wasm] [debug] Implement calling imported wasm functions
The interpreter was not able to call imported wasm functions (hitting
UNIMPLEMENTED). This CL fixes this by creating a "CWasmEntry", which is
signature-specific. It has JS linkage and receives the wasm code object
to call and a buffer containing all arguments (similar to the
interpreter entry). It loads all arguments from the buffer and calls the
given code object.
The c-wasm-entry code objects are cached per instance, such that we
only create them once per signature.

These wasm entry stubs will also allow us to call back to compiled code
from the interpreter, which we might want to do to reduce the slowdown
of executing wasm for debugging.

7a5a777c97 [heap] Add mechanism for tracking invalidated slots per memory chunk.
For correct slots recording in concurrent marker, we need to resolve
the race that happens when
1) the mutator is invalidating slots for double unboxing or string
conversions
2) and the concurrent marker is recording these slots.

This patch adds a data-structure for tracking the invalidated objects.
Thus we can allow the concurrent marker to record slots without
worrying about clearing them. During old-to-old pointer updating phase
we re-check all slots that belong to the invalidated objects.

e567dd3ab4 Refactor TransitionArray access
in preparation for caching StoreIC-Transition handlers in there.
This CL should not change behavior or performance.

The TransitionArray class no longer serves a dual purpose; it is now
simply the data structure serving that role. Further, it now supports
storing transitioning handlers in its "target" slot, which in turn have
a WeakCell pointing to the transition target (but this functionality
is not being used yet).

The interface for accessing a map's transitions, previously implemented
as a set of static functions, is now handled by the TransitionsAccessor
class. It distinguishes the following internal states:
- kPrototypeInfo: map is a prototype map, will never cache any transitions.
- kUninitialized: map can cache transitions, but doesn't have any.
- kWeakCell: map caches a single transition, stored inline. Formerly known
             as "IsSimpleTransition".
- kFullTransitionArray: map uses a TransitionArray to store transitions.
- kTuple3Handler, kFixedArrayHandler: to be used in the future for caching
                                      transitioning handlers.

a72b2f88a8 [arm] Restrict grouping pushes before a TailCall to registers only
We optimize parallel moves performed before a TailCall by grouping adjacent
pushes. This way, we may use a single instruction to push multiple registers at
once. However, we also have support for pushing immediates and stack slots for
which the benefit is questionnable therefore this patch removes support for
them.

Concerning immediate pushes, it looks like a mistake since we do not have
support for this case in `AssembleMove` so this patch removes it. Furthermore,
if we add a test for this case, we see that a `push ip` instruction is
generated, effectively pushing whatever was in `ip` at the time instead of
pushing a constant.

Concerning stack slot pushes, we generate a more or less equivalent sequence of
instructions.

Finally, grouping floating point pushes is not used anywhere so this patch
removes support for this also.

45618a9ab5 [wasm] Make prototype flags experimental
Most prototype implementations are not fully supported in the
interpreter. This is the case at least for exception handling, simd, and
atomics. Any function can be redirected to the interpreter though,
either by passing --wasm-interpret-all, or by dynamically redirecting to
the interpreter for debugging.
Making the flags experimental keeps the fuzzer from playing around with
these flags.

Drive-by: Refactor tests which explicitly set the prototype flag to use
a new scope for that.

cb7dd0a911 Replace sanitizers:deps with exe_and_shlib_deps (v8)
All targets (at least on sanitizer builds) unconditionally depend
on //build/config/sanitizers:deps.

It is necessary for bug 593874 that all targets now also depend
on //buildtools/third_party/libc++:libcxx_proxy.  This requires
adding a new "global dependency": //build/config:exe_and_shlib_deps.

This CL updates references to sanitizers:deps to instead refer to
//build/config:exe_and_shlib_deps.

2cd2f5feff Remove experimental fast accessor builder API
As the code isn't used, but would have to be ported from hand-written
assembly to CodeStubAssembler anyways, I propose to remove it and
restore it if we decide that we actually need it.

caa1d4b262 [wasm] Managed<T> ensures T's lifetime does not leak past Isolate's
Native resources allocated by v8, as internal implementation detail,
and held by a Foreign object, must be released when the Isolate is
torn down. Example: wasm::WasmModule allocated by wasm compile, and
held throughout the lifetime of the WebAssembly.Module object.

This change:
- Extends Managed<CppType> with a mechanism for doing just that
- Separates the role of Managed<CppType> to be strictly an owner of
the lifetime of the native resource. For cases where that's not
desirable, we can polymorphically use Foregin.
- moves managed.h out of wasm, since it's not wasm-specific.

66ae5f7d71 Implement ldrex/strex instructions in ARM simulator
This CL implements ldrex, ldrexb, ldrexh, strex, strexb, and strexh in the
Simulator. These instructions provide "exclusive" access, which provides mutual
exclusion for concurrent threads of execution.

The ARM specification gives some leeway to implementors, but essentially
describes each processor as having Local Monitor and Global Monitor. The Local
Monitor is used to check the exclusivity state without having to synchronize
with other processors. The Global Monitor is shared between processors. We
model both to make it easier to match behavior with the spec.

When running with multiple OS threads, each thread has its own isolate, and
each isolate has its own Simulator. The Local Monitor is stored directly on the
Simulator, and the Global Monitor is stored as a lazy singleton. The Global
Monitor maintains a linked-list of all Simulators.

All loads/stores (even non-exclusive) are guarded by the Global Monitor's mutex.

76fd6f25a9 [turbofan] Remove inlining support for the deprecated pipeline.
The deprecated pipeline is used for asm.js only, where we forcibly
disable inlining anyways (for performance reasons), so inlining via
the AstGraphBuilder is essentially dead code by now, thus there's no
point in trying to keep that around in the code base.

Also nuke the test-run-inlining.cc file, which would require some heavy
surgery (for probably little benefit), and move the useful tests for
mjsunit tests instead.

1f5dc90a90 [turbofan] Osr value typing + dynamic type checks on entry.
This introduces a new OsrGuard node that is inserted during graph building
to guard the inferred type of the OSR value.

The type of the OSR value is inferred by running the typer before OSR
deconstruction, and then taking the type from the phi that takes the
OSR value. After the deconstruction, we throw the types away.

At the moment we only support the SignedSmall OSR type and we always
pick the tagged representation. Later, we might want to support more
types (such as Number) and pick better representations (int32/float64).

This CL also removes the OSR deconstruction tests because they build
unrealistic graph (no effect chain, no loop termination). I considered
adding the effect chains to the tests, but this would make the tests
even more brittle.

a8951a96ab [gn] Add gn support to gcmole
This also adds sources missing for PPC and x87, fixes a few
missing files in gyp due to wrong quotation and a few that
were simply not included.

The gn files are now authoritative, but the gcmole gyp and
gn source lists are enforced to match exactly.

This additional enforcement helped finding the bugs above
and will be removed when we deprecate the gyp files.

cf127e8144 [modules] Expand API to allow linking and use it in d8
This patch gives the ability for the embedder to ask for the
module requests of a module, and to pass a ResolveCallback
into Module::Instantiate().

In d8, I've implemented a simple module_map that's used
along with this API to allow loading, compiling, instantiating,
and evaluating a whole tree of modules.

No path resolution is yet implemented, meaning that all
import paths are relative to whatever directory d8 runs
in. And no imports are linked to the exports of the
requested module.

24cb21e327 [gn] add missing suppressions for linker warnings on windows
When doing a component build, some test binaries link against the object
files directly, bypassing the components. This results, however, and
rightly so, in linker warnings. In gyp, we just suppressed them. During
the transition to gn, this was dropped for two binaries.

Here I add the suppressions back in.

Long term, we should either change the tests to go through the public
API, or export the required symbols.

7d073b03c7 This commit is the first step towards emitting unwinding information in
the .eh_frame format as part of the jitdump generated when
FLAG_perf_prof is enabled. The final goal is allowing precise unwinding
of callchains that include JITted code when profiling V8 using perf.

Unwinding information is stored in the body of code objects after the
code itself, prefixed with its length and aligned to a 8-byte boundary.
A boolean flag in the header signals its presence, resulting in zero
memory overhead when the generation of unwinding info is disabled or
no such information was attached to the code object.

A new jitdump record type (with id 4) is introduced for specifying
optional unwinding information for code load records. The EhFrameHdr
struct is also introduced, together with a constructor to initialise it
from the associated code object.

At this stage no unwinding information is written to the jitdump, but
the infrastructure for doing so is ready in place.

Most maps have a small code cache (often only one entry), so this patch
optimizes memory consumption of such cases by using plain FixedArrays,
only switching to CodeCacheHashTables when the number of cached entries

On loading inbox.google.com, this gets the aggregate size of all maps'
