425fa3ae15 [wasm] Simplify module creation
This includes WasmEngine::NewNativeModule() and WasmModuleObject::New().
The intent is to make the various ways of creating a module (sync,
async, deserialize, import) more similar.

After this change, a NativeModule will always be created before a
WasmModuleObject. This will make it easier to look up a cached
NativeModule given its wire bytes.

The following changes are made:

* Use WasmCodeManager::EstimateNativeModuleCodeSize() to find the code
size estimate by default. A different code size estimate is only used in
  tests.
* Change CompileJsToWasmWrappers() to allocate a new FixedArray instead of
assuming the array was created with the correct size. This simplifies
  WasmModuleObject::New(), and matches what CompileToNativeModule()
  does.
* Remove the WasmModuleObject::New() constructor that creates a
NativeModule. This case was only used in DeserializeNativeModule() and
  in test code.

This makes sure the language mode of the module is correctly propagated
through the WebAssembly module, so that exported functions are allocated

4ca8b4dd67 [wasm] Implement "atomic.fence" operator.
This adds decoding and compilation of the "atomic.fence" operator, which
is intended to preserve the synchronization guarantees of higher-level
languages.

Unlike other atomic operators, it does not target a particular linear
memory. It may occur in modules which declare no memory, or a non-shared
memory, without causing a validation error.

56eaec9d49 [wasm] Split jump table and lazy compile table
We had both jump slots and lazy compile slots in the same table. This
increases the space per slot to the maximum of the two, even though we
often do not use lazy compilation and could have smaller jump slots.
This CL splits the two into two separate tables. The lazy compile table
will only be created on demand, and will never be patched.
The jump table now only contains jumps, and is more compact (which
might improve performance because of improved locality).

31cd5d83d3 [arraybuffer] Rearchitect backing store ownership
This CL completely rearchitects the ownership of array buffer backing stores,
consolidating ownership into a {BackingStore} C++ object that is tracked
throughout V8 using unique_ptr and shared_ptr where appropriate.

Overall, lifetime management is simpler and more explicit. The numerous
ways that array buffers were initialized have been streamlined to one
Attach() method on JSArrayBuffer. The array buffer tracker in the
GC implementation now manages std::shared_ptr<BackingStore> pointers,
and the construction and destruction of the BackingStore object itself
handles the underlying page or embedder-allocated memory.

The embedder API remains unchanged for now. We use the
v8::ArrayBuffer::Contents struct to hide an additional shared_ptr to
keep the backing store alive properly, even in the case of aliases
from live heap objects. Thus the embedder has a lower chance of making
a mistake. Long-term, we should move the embedder to a model where they
manage backing stores using shared_ptr to an opaque backing store object.

8e11cc395a Enable cpplint 'runtime/references' warning
Cpplint usually checks for non-const reference arguments. They are
forbidden in the style guide, and v8 does not explicitly make an
exception here.
This CL re-enables that warning, and fixes all current violations by
adding an explicit "NOLINT(runtime/references)" comment. In follow-up
CLs, we should aim to remove as many of them as possible.

02f18b2df1 [wasm] Refactor indirect function calls
This is the combined second and third step of refactoring indirect
function calls through tables with index > 0 to work without runtime
calls.

The first CL introduces the WasmIndirectFunctionTable heap object. For
a table of type anyfunc within a WebAssembly instance,
WasmIndirectFunctionTable stores the size, the signature id's, the
call targets, and the reference parameters for that table. I used the
names that are already used for the matching fields of the
WasmInstanceObject.

The second CL expands the IndirectFunctionTableEntry to work also on
WasmIndirectFunctionTable objects. All changes to a function table go
through this class.

The third CL introduces uses of the WasmIndirectFunctionTable. In this
CL I change the code generation in TurboFan to replace runime calls with
direct accesses to the new WasmIndirectFunctionTable. Additionally I
extended the initialization of WasmIndirectFunctionTable, and also
implement Table.grow.

e06c65ec49 Add test case for F32x4Extract
The test case SimdF32x4ExtractWithI32x4 was still passing when the codegen for
F32x4Extract was entirely commented out. This change adds a new test
cases that specifically exercises F32x4ExtractLane.

It copies what is done in SimdI32x4SplatFromExtract,
which involves moving the splatted and
extracted values around locals, to ensure we move the values around
registers and not unintentionally reuse registers that we splatted to,
without actually extracting anything.

Note that the existing SimdF32x4ExtractWithI32x4 is kept because it is

c476508b1a [wasm][anyref] Implement correct type checking for br_table
This CL refactors the type-checking for br_table instructions.
Originally, we iterated over all targets of br_table and checked
if the values on the stack match the types expected by the
target's signature. However, this caused problems with type
checking unreachable br_table instructions where some stack
values are unavailable. According to the anyref proposal, the
expected type of br_table is the greatest lower bound of
all its targets. With the existing implementation, the expected
types were the types of the first target.

With this CL, we first calculate the expected types of br_table,
and only then inspect the stack if matching values are available.

f16f0bccad [stack-trace] Change column number for wasm frames to module offset
The CL https://crrev.com/c/1646846 changed column numbers for Wasm
frames in Error.stack traces. Instead of using the offset relative to
the beginning of the function, the absolute offset inside the module
is displayed as hex.

This CL propagates that change to the StackTrace C++ API, so
StackFrame::GetColumn() also returns the absolute offset. Note that the
StackFrame API historically uses "0" to signal "no information", so the
line and column numbers for Wasm frames are also adjusted to 1-based,
even though they signify function index and absolute offset
into the module.

This CL does not touch Script::PositionInfo.column. That field still
contains the offset relative to the function start.

cbc352983e [Liftoff] List unsupported opcodes explicitly
This removes two default switch cases for unsupported opcodes, and
replaces them by explicit lists. This makes it easy to see what is
currently not supported in Liftoff. In a follow-up CL, each bailout
will be associated with a category to track which features currently
cause Liftoff to bailout.
This change also makes Liftoff crash (in UNREACHABLE) if invoked with
asm.js code. Hence, change the asm.js tests to not test Liftoff. In
production, we do not invoke Liftoff for asm.js anyway.

d56ee2e3df [wasm][anyref] Cache export wrappers per signature
Up until now, we cached export wrappers per export index. With the
anyref proposal potentially many more functions will need export
wrappers, e.g. any function that is stored in a table, and any
function accessed by the new ref.func instruction.

With this CL, we change the caching scheme an do the caching per
signature. Thereby we can guarantee that any export wrapper which
potentially exists can be stored in the cache.

For cctests which use wasm-run-utils, we don't know the size of the
cache anymore ahead of time. However, we assume that no more than
5 signatures will be used in any cctest. If this assumption is not
true, we can just adjust the number.

The cache is now accessed in all code paths where we need an export
wrapper.

758700a708 [compiler] Don't collect source positions for the top frame
While most source positions were not collected even throwing exceptions,
the top frame still was always collected as it was used to initialize
the JSMessageObject. This skips even that frame, by storing the
SharedFunctionInfo and bytecode offset in the JSMessageObject allowing
it to lazily evaluate the actual source position.

Also adds tests to test-api.cc that test each of the source position
functions in isolation to ensure that they don't rely on previous
invocations to call the source collection function.

Since no source positions are now collected at the point when an
exception is thrown, the mjsunit/stack-traces-overflow now passes again
with the flag enabled. (cctest/test-cpu-profiler/Inlining2 is now the
only failure).

df6029f5a9 [cleanup] Removing GraphBuilderTester class
GraphBuilderTester was introduced at a time where RawMachineAssembler
was going to be deprecated (https://codereview.chromium.org/1423923003/).
Now we know that it's not going to happen any time soon.

Since GraphBuilderTester it's only used in one test which can use
RawMachineAssembler, I updated it and removed the class.

Now the .h file had another class, which is now the only class in the file.
Therefore, I renamed it and updated the include calls to it.

Also updated the include commands: some were not necessary, and some others
could be moved to more aptly places.

4b0f9c856e [cleanup] Use Vector::begin instead of Vector::start
Our {Vector} template provides both {start} and {begin} methods. They
return exactly the same value. Since the {begin} method is needed for
iteration, and is also what standard containers provide, this CL
switches all uses of the {start} method to use {begin} instead.

Patchset 1 was auto-generated by using this clang AST matcher:
    callExpr(
        callee(
          cxxMethodDecl(
            hasName("start"),
            ofClass(hasName("v8::internal::Vector")))
        ),
        argumentCountIs(0))

Patchset 2 was created by running clang-format. Patchset 3 then
removes the now unused {Vector::start} method.

3cd6705f58 [wasm][x64] Use near jump in jump table
On x64, we allocate one big code region such that we can use near jumps
and near calls. The jump table did not make use of that design yet.
This CL changes that by emitting jump table slots as near jumps. This
also speeds up patching jump table slots significantly, since far jumps
populate the inline constant pool, which is unneeded overhead in this
case.
As a drive-by, this CL cleans up the API of near_call and near_jmp. The
current semantics is broken, and only works because this is only used
for WebAssembly calls which are patched anyway after code generation.
Also, x64 now uses the same path in test-jump-table-assembler.cc as
arm64 to ensure that all targets are within near-call-distance.

9010424ff5 Reland "[wasm] Implement table.init for interpreter"
This is a reland of 63608968b6

The previous CL failed on Windows, but it was a general bug. The
dropped_elem_segments was not being set on the instance properly in
cctests, so`table.init` instructions would fail by reading uninitialized
data.

I took this opportunity to also add an implementation of
`elem.drop` in the interpreter, and ported the JS tests for those too.

This ensures the lifetime of reference values on the simulated operand

We no longer directly store reference values on the stack, but maintain

traces such references properly.

The new {StackValue} safety wrapper makes sure all use-sites that access

46a99b07fc [wasm] Add support for "br_on_exn" in the interpreter.
This adds preliminary support for handling the "br_on_exn" opcode in the
interpreter. It also makes "catch" and "rethrow" use a proper exception
reference instead of a dummy value.

To that end this also adds {Handle<>} as a new kind of {WasmValue} which
is intended to pass reference values (e.g. "anyref" or "except_ref") to
the runtime system. Therefore lifetime of such a {WasmValue} is directly
coupled to any surrounding {HandleScope}.

For now we just store {Handle<>} directly on the simulated operand stack
of the interpreter. This is of course bogus, since the surrounding scope
does not outlive the interpreter activation. Decoupling the lifetime of
the operand stack from a {HandleScope} will be done in a follow-up CL.

As a drive-by this change also implements support for the "ref_null" and
the "ref_is_null" opcodes as a proof-of-concept that the new {WasmValue}
is also applicable to the "anyref" reference type.

d4266e3035 [wasm][gc] Add code ref scopes for code GC
This CL adds all the necessary {WasmCodeRefScope}s in the code base, or
at least a good approximation. A follow-up CL will enable a check that
a {WasmCodeRefScope} exists whenever a pointer to a {WasmCode} object
is returned from the {NativeModule}. This should flush out any missing
scopes.
