This is a reland of commit 23b2d571a7
When updating pointers during a full GC, a page might not be swept
already. In such cases there might be invalid objects and slots
recorded in free memory. Updating tagged slots in free memory is fine
even though not strictly necessary.
However, the GC also needs to calculate the size of potentially dead
invalid objects in order to be able to check whether a slot is within
that object. But since that object is dead, its map might be dead as
well which makes size calculation impossible on such objects. The CL
changes this to cache the size of invalid objects. A follow-up CL will
also check the marking bit of invalid objects.
Reason for reverts:
Revert #2: In-object slack tracking on JSObjects doesn't update the
cached size of invalidated objects. The fix here was to stop
invalidating recorded slots on JSObjects at all and avoid that problem
completely (see https://crrev.com/c/3620274).
Revert #1: Not all size changes go through NotifyObjectLayoutChange, so
https://crrev.com/c/3607992 introduced NotifyObjectSizeChange as a
bottleneck for object size changes/right-trimming. This method is
now used to update the size of invalidated objects.

Before a young GC, the scavenger finalizes a pending full GC sweeping,
in case there are no more running sweeping jobs, to avoid unnecessarily
pausing sweeping and then resuming it.
This CL moves this sweeping finalization from
ScavengerCollector::CollectGarbage to Heap::CompleteSweepingYoung, so
that it is also performed for the minor mark-compactor and that sweeping
is correctly attributed to the previous full GC cycle (instead of the
beginning young cycle). Furthermore, it also finalizes CppGC sweeping
if there are no more running sweeping jobs.

forbidden in the style guide, and v8 does not explicitly make an

This CL re-enables that warning, and fixes all current violations by
adding an explicit "NOLINT(runtime/references)" comment. In follow-up

Some tests assume that kMaxRegularHeapObjectSize is close to the
page size. They break if the constant is decreased to 16KB to stress
young large objects.

Same for MemoryChunk::FromHeapObject().

Heap::InNewSpace only needs to access the heap for a DCHECK and the part
that uses the heap only needs it if the object is in NEW_SPACE, in which
case getting it via pointer magic is fine.

instead convert them all to use ReadOnlyRoots.

There is no good reason to have the meat of most objects' initialization
logic in heap.cc, all wrapped by the CALL_HEAP_FUNCTION macro. Instead,
this CL changes the protocol between Heap and Factory to be AllocateRaw,
and all object initialization work after (possibly retried) successful
raw allocation happens in the Factory.
This saves about 20KB of binary size on x64.

This follows up 4af9cfcc by separating incremental marking state
from the full MC marking state. Runtime and tests now use only
the incremental marking state. The full MC marking state used
by MC during atomic pause.
This separation decouples atomicity of markbit accesses
during incremental marking and during full MC.

This patch merges ObjectMarking and MarkingState. The new marking state
encapsulates object marking, live byte tracking, and access atomicity.
The old ObjectMarking calls are now replaced with calls to marking
state. For example:
ObjectMarking::WhiteToGrey<kAtomicity>(obj, marking_state(obj)
becomes
marking_state()->WhiteToGrey(obj)
This simplifies custom handling of live bytes and allows to chose
atomicity of markbit accesses depending on collector's state.
This also decouples marking bitmap from the marking code, which will
allows in future to use different data-structure for mark-bits.
