Changes of r66379 broke the unit test as wxAcceleratorEntry::Create() now
requires the TAB to be present in the string passed to it (again).
Update the test to make it pass.

The logical value of wxSlider was changed when its range was changed in wxMSW
if the slider had wxSL_INVERSE style because the logical value was actually
computed using the range and the actual physical control value and we forgot
to update the latter when changing the range.
Do update it now in SetRange() to fix this.
Also add unit tests checking for this and, more generally, for other
operations with inversed sliders.

FromString() should parse string returned by ToString() successfully but this

In ANSI build wxString::mb_str() returns a pointer to the internal wxString
data directly instead of a buffer with a proper length, so it provides access
to the part of the string before the first embedded NUL only.
Use To8BitData() which always returns the buffer of the correct size in all
builds.
The open question remains whether mb_str() should be changed to return a (non
owned) buffer and not just a pointer in ANSI build. This would make
manipulating strings with embedded NULs safer but mb_str() would be less
efficient and less compatible.

These tests didn't work correctly in ANSI build because the conversion
parameter of wxFile::Write() isn't used there, the contents of an ANSI
wxString is always written to the file as is -- hence reading it back using

The test would need to be totally rewritten for ANSI build of wx and it
wouldn't test wxFile but rather conversion functions already tested elsewhere

We didn't handle the case when the length of the input buffer was not

In wxSOCKET_NOWAIT mode wxSOCKET_WOULDBLOCK is not a real error as it's
expected and should be just discarded. Failing to do this could result in the
following scenario:
1. Try to read a big buffer with wxSOCKET_NOWAIT (setting wxSocket error to
wxSOCKET_WOULDBLOCK).
2. Process small part of it.
3. Read more data from wxSocket -- which now goes to the data containing
already cached data without going to the socket itself and this without
resetting the error.
4. Check wxSocket::Error() which turns out to be (still) true.
And this was exactly what happened in mysteriously failing unit test case
reading wxImage contents from a socket: the failure was difficult to reproduce
because it depended on how much data exactly did we read from the socket in
one go.
Fix this by resetting the error properly and reenable the unit test which was
previously disabled for the build bot, it should pass now.

After the recent changes to the event processing logic, forwarding an event
from one event handler to another one stopped working correctly because the
per-event "process here only" flag prevented it from following the event
handler chain after forwarding. This notably broke keyboard navigation in
wxComboCtrl under MSW in wx itself and probably quite a few of other things in
user code.
Fix this by replacing the boolean flag with a pointer to the handler to which
the processing of this event should be restricted. This allows the full
processing to still take place if an event is forwarded to another handler.
So wxEvent::ShouldProcessHereOnly() is now called ShouldProcessOnlyIn() and
takes a wxEvtHandler parameter.
This made appear a problem in wxScrollHelperEvtHandler code that was hidden by
the bug above: the events were still processed multiple times in it. To fix
this, also add wxEvent::DidntHonourProcessOnlyIn() and take it into account in
the base class code. Did I mention that wxScrollHelperEvtHandler must die?
Add another unit test checking that forwarding works correctly.

propagated to the parent window any more, breaking a lot of things including
wxDataViewCtrl event generation in the generic version. So do restore

Setting wxChoice height to its default value didn't change the height even if
the current height was different from the default. This resulted in problems
when a wxChoice was used inside a wxAuiToolBar because AUI temporarily reduces
the toolbar size to (1, 1) when docking it (thus ensuring that the height of

(which still was the correct thing to do as it fixed such indefensibly broken
behaviour as shrinking items with larger proportion by more than "smaller"

larger than the total space allocated to the sizer resulting in only parts of
them being visible.

the length 2 was explicitly specified.
Fix this bug and add a unit test checking for it.

All files in svn are supposed to use UTF-8 now so convert this one to UTF-8
too before committing more changes to it (which would be otherwise rejected by
pre-commit hook).

Throwing an exception from worker threads is useless as it is not caught by
our wxUnitTestProtector which only protects the main thread, so abort
immediately to be sure to provide at least some information about the problem
as otherwise nothing may be output at all and the program can end up
deadlocked.

The value of wxColour::Alpha() was assigned to a temporary variable which
wasn't used afterwards and Mac OS g++ warned about it.

These methods allow to operate with all 3 or 4 colour channels at once.
Add their implementation, documentation and a unit test for wxColour
exercising them.

Set svn:keyword and, most importantly, svn:eol-style, to avoid having files
with DOS line endings in svn, for the new files added by r61971.

wxFileOffset and ssize_t are not the same type under this platform so using
CPPUNIT_ASSERT_EQUAL() with the arguments of these types fails. Use ssize_t
instead of wxFileOffset to fix this.

This function was broken for conversions using more than one byte per
character (e.g. UTF-16 or UTF-32) and also even for UTF-8 for strings
containing NUL bytes as it used strlen() to determine the number of bytes to
write out instead of using the really needed number.
Fix this by using the wxCharBuffer::length() method which always returns the
correct value.
Also add a wxFile unit test verifying that it can correctly read back a string
written using any of UTF-8, UTF-16 or UTF-32.

file automatically destroyed on test exit.

The constructs such as "-abcd" were not parsed correctly, i.e. the same as "-a
-b -c -d" because the code tried to parse a non-existent option "abcd" even if
it was supposed to not do this -- fix this.

The code in CFSTR_SHELLURLDataObject::GetDataHere() was confused by
ANSI/Unicode and ended up overwriting output buffer because of it. Moreover,
this function was actually completely unnecessary as the base class version
did work correctly.

After the changes in r50710 wxString numeric conversion functions didn't
update their output parameter any more if the conversion failed because not
entire string was converted. This was incompatible with the old behaviour
which some existing code did rely on, so restore it and now always return the
number which was extracted from the beginning of the string if we found
anything at all, even if the function returns false.
Add unit test for the correct behaviour and updated the documentation.

Reset wxXmlParsingContext::lastAsText flag when CDATA section ends to avoid

Don't write extra NUL bytes obtained by decoding the padding at the end of
input into the output buffer as there may be not enough place in it for them.
And in any case the buffer is not (always) NUL-terminated as no NUL bytes are
obtained in absence of padding, so it's better to never terminate it for
consistency.

After recent changes of wxLogXXX() functions into macros the last error was
overwritten by wxString::Format() called between the call to wxLogSysError()
and wxLog::CallDoLogNow() which called wxSysErrorCode() and so its original
value was lost and, unless the last error was specified explicitly, it always
came out as 0.
To fix this, call wxSysErrorCode() directly when calling wxLogSysError(). This
may be unnecessary (if the error is given explicitly) but there doesn't seem
to be any other way to fix it and the overhead of calling wxSysErrorCode()
shouldn't be that big.
Also add a unit test checking that wxLogSysError() behaves as expected.

Each log message is now associated with its component, "wx" by default for
messages generated by wxWidgets and wxLOG_COMPONENT in general (which is empty
by default). Each component may have its own log level and they are
hierarchical allowing fine configuration of what exactly is logged.

The main logging callback is now DoLogRecord() with DoLogTextAtLevel() and
DoLogText() provided for convenience. The old DoLog() and DoLogString() are
still called but deprecated and their overloads taking wxString which were
only added in 2.9.0 are removed.
wxLogRecordInfo allows associating more information than just the time stamp
with the log record; for now only the logging thread id was added but more
fields will make their appearance soon.
