A change to Android asset deployment left some devices with bad data
(but correct _VERSION files). Unless we force-push assets, test runs
will continue to fail.
Once all devices have had their assets re-pushed (and any bisection
into the offending time period is concluded), we can revert this CL.

On batch failure we're rerunning every source in the batch, while we
really only need to rerun sources that we don't know succeeded.
If for example we run sources "foo", "bar", and "baz", and foo produces
a known hash, then bar crashes, we only need to rerun bar and baz. The
batch run was enough to demonstrate foo's good.

If we track how many pending batches a kickoff()

This double sync.WaitGroup trick is pretty neat.

the trap of assuming we'll have runtime.NumCPU()

Instead of standing goroutines pulling from a work queue, just kick off
individual goroutines. No need to write a scheduler on top of another
scheduler.
Local runs put this at the same wall time as before while saving a
little user/sys CPU time. Bot runs typically took 25-50s before this
change, and now 40s, 28s, and 29s, so the same there too.
We can choose whether to handle re-runs on the same goroutine or kick
off new ones. I've chosen here to run them on the same goroutine (see
the commented /*go*/), mostly because the bots quickly exhaust their
user process limits when the reruns are all spawning FM processes in
parallel. I think that means we don't need the extra parallelism. As
far as I have seen, whether we kick off a goroutine or not has had no
impact on wall/user/sys at all, so might as well not for now.

By using npm ci, we can make sure the versions of the helper
libraries (e.g. Karma, Jasmine) we are testing with locally
is the same as the versions we are using in the continuous
integration system.
The copying is needed because our docker recipe forces us
to run as not root, and this was causing some issues. As a
result, I changed the canvaskit test/perf to not re-use the
same file as pathkit does so copying was easier and the
dependencies between the two modules is broken.

To load in the resources, we have the Node JS script
find all files in the provided resources directory and serve
that as a JSON file (the HTML JS can't list files easily).
The HTML JS reads that file, then loads all those files as
ArrayBuffers.
After the testing WASM and the resources all load, we pre-load
them into the WASM memory, assigned with their name. This is
just a map of name -> SkData. The WASM code can't (easily)
make fetch calls, so rather than load these resources on demand
like we would in a real file system, we pre-load them all
and serve them from RAM. For simplicity (and consistency with
the known_hashes), this map is a global.
Finally, to connect the resources to the GMs, we overwrite the
gResourceFactory (defined in ResourceFactory.h) which is used
by tools/Resources.cpp to load any resource file (in theory).
One more change is to write some progress steps to window._log
so it can be read by puppeteer and dumped to disk to aid in
debugging.

There was a break that was solved by adding -lGL to our link
steps. I discovered a few extra flags to aid in debugging builds
and I've left those in (they aren't too noisy IMO).
This changes the base dockerfile to use the official emscripten one.
Code size delta for full build is +5 kb
For future reference, emsdk decides which "library JS" files to
pull in using a83ba99d60/tools/building.py (L1553)
Those JS files live in src (e.g. a83ba99d60/src/library_html5_webgl.js (L222))
and define functions that the C++ code can call.
I'd like to follow-up on what -lEGL is doing.
Also, since the new image no longer has depot_tools, we need
to make docker/skia-wasm-release/Dockerfile install it.

Bug: skia:10371
This will allow Skia clients developing for Android 11+ to rely on
Android's NDK APIs for decoding, which will allow them to decode
without including their own decoding libraries (e.g. libjpeg-turbo).
Using these APIs also provides support for static HEIF images.
Run ImageGenSrc in kPlatform_Mode on Android to verify decoding
visually.
Add tests and a grayscale png.
Update some test bots running Android R to specify ndk_api so they will
run the new code.

For each skp in the corpus, we start a fresh instance of
Chromium (via puppeteer), draw the skp and measure that time.
This process is repeated a fixed amount of repetitions
and the median, the average, and the std deviation is reported
to perf (as well as the individual datapoints as an FYI).
Importantly (and something we'll need to change about
SkottieFrames), we measure the average time between frames
after unlocking the framerate. This ensures we account for
the time needed by the GPU to actually draw (flush() returns
after the GPU has all the instructions, but not necessarily
has been able to draw).
This implementation is very similar to the SkottieFrames
code; a notable deviation is the repetitions are handled
outside of the html, i.e. a new chrome window per run.
I explored using content_shell, but noticed that requires
building Chromium, which our infrastructure is not set up
to do well.

Changes are largely mechanical. Non-mechanical changes to support newer
versions of emscripten are enumerated below, in format ${EMSCRIPTEN_VERSION}:
${RELEVANT_CHANGE}.
- 1.39.9: TOTAL_MEMORY has been renamed INITIAL_MEMORY.
- 1.39.12: passing of linker flags to wasm-ld has changed in a way that requires
supplying `--no-entry` to avoid error message "wasm-ld: error: entry symbol
not defined (pass --no-entry to suppress): main".
- 1.39.16: The factory function created by using `MODULARIZE` build option now
returns a Promise instead of the module instance. As such, the ready.js
workaround is removed. Note this is a breaking API change for CanvasKit,
which now uses just `then()` and not `ready().then()`.
- 1.38.33: `emsdk install` hasn't required the `-64bit` suffix on version names
since `1.38.33`, so we remove them. E.g. `emsdk install sdk-1.39.6-64bit`
simply becomes `emsdk install sdk-1.39.16`.

This will make it clear that these files are for Android use and
avoid compiling them for other clients.
Update testing tools to use android::skia::BitmapRegionDecoder, but
only if SK_ENABLE_ANDROID_UTILS is defined.
Take this opportunity to clean up the class:
- The base class, which was originally designed to allow switching
amongst different implementations, is no longer needed. Rename
SkBitmapRegionCodec to android::skia::BitmapRegionDecoder
(following the new convention and matching the Java API name).
Continue to inherit from SkBitmapRegionDecoder temporarily, to
allow Android to switch to the new API.
- Use std::unique_ptr instead of passing raw pointers.
Add a test to verify that we only create a BitmapRegionDecoder if
it is one of the supported types.

IMPORTANT LESSON: when bringing in node (and possibly other
executables) via CIPD, add them to the path in gen_tasks_logic
so the parent executable (the task driver itself) has the right
PATH set. Otherwise, the subprocesses it spawns might grab the
wrong version because of how golang handles environments of
subprocesses.
This is starting as a fork of Skottie WASM. I hope to have a more unified
system for creating and running benchmarks.
Overall overview:
gen_tasks_logic.go creates a task in task.json that compiles
CanvasKit and the task drivers and then executes our task
(i.e. perf_puppeteer.go)
perf_puppeteer runs a node program (perf-with-puppeteer.js)
that uses puppeteer to execute benchmarking code on an
html page (canvaskit-skottie-frames-load.html).
I needed to update the node package so npm could be updated from
3.x to 6.14.4 so it knew about `npm ci`. This may not have been
entirely necessary, given the problems of executing the correct
npm (see important lesson above), but it hasn't broken things
further, so more up-to-date is probably a good thing.
Suggested Review Order:
- canvaskit-skottie-frames-load.html (note it is similar to
skottie-wasm-perf.html, but it waits for a button click
to start animating and records times from the main JS thread
itself)
- perf-with-puppeteer.js (similar to skottie-wasm-perf.js, but
has some things made optional [e.g. tracing])
- perf_puppeteer_test.go (shows the inputs/outputs of various steps)
- perf_puppeteer.go
- Everything else.

This CL fixes a bug in the logic that checks whether there's an image mounted on the attached iOS device.
Currently this is determined by checking whether strings "ImagePresent: true" or "ImageSignature:" are present in the output of command "ideviceimagemounter --list". However, these strings do not match the command's actual output:
# No image mounted.
$ ideviceimagemounter --list
Status: Complete
# Image mounted (fake signature for illustrative purposes).
$ ideviceimagemounter --list
ImageSignature[1]:
0: Rm9yIGlsbHVzdHJhdGl2ZSBwdXJwb3NlcyBvbmx5LiBUaGlzIGlzIG5vdCBhIHJlYWwgc2lnbmF0dXJlLg==
Status: Complete
As is, the recipe fails to detect that an image is already mounted on the attached iOS device. The recipe then tries to mount one, which makes the "ideviceimagemounter" command fail with "Error: ImageAlreadyMounted". The following example shows how to reproduce this error:
# Initially no image is mounted.
$ ideviceimagemounter --list
Status: Complete
# Mount an image.
$ ideviceimagemounter DeveloperDiskImage.dmg DeveloperDiskImage.dmg.signature
Uploading DeveloperDiskImage.dmg
done.
Mounting...
Done.
Status: Complete
# Verify that the image is mounted.
$ ideviceimagemounter --list
ImageSignature[1]:
0: Rm9yIGlsbHVzdHJhdGl2ZSBwdXJwb3NlcyBvbmx5LiBUaGlzIGlzIG5vdCBhIHJlYWwgc2lnbmF0dXJlLg==
Status: Complete
# Try to mount an image when one is already mounted.
$ ideviceimagemounter DeveloperDiskImage.dmg DeveloperDiskImage.dmg.signature
Uploading DeveloperDiskImage.dmg
done.
Mounting...
Error: ImageMountFailed
Checking for presence of string "ImageSignature" in the ideviceimagemounter command's output seems to solve the problem.
In the process I also discovered that self._run() requires keyword argument stdout=self.m.raw_io.output() in order to return the command's output. As is, the returned stdout is always blank.

- Patchset 12 reproduces the bug. See the failing tryjob.
- Patchset 13 tries the fix. See the successful tryjob.
