The is_shared bit bumps the number of reserved bits for Strings'
InstanceType from 6 to 7. This has the side effect of shuffling the
InstanceType enum values.
There are no users of this bit yet. This is steps 1-2 from the following
design doc [1], in preparation for sharing internalized and
in-place-internalizable strings.

The isolate root pointer in a WasmApiFuncionRef cannot be sandboxed,
because we would need the isolate root in the first place to decode it.
Therefore we do not use Foreign as the parent class of
WasmApiFunctionRef.

Remove FunctionLiterals and ParseInfo from the LazyCompileDispatcher
API, passing instead the SharedFunctionInfo, a character stream, and
optionally some preparse data.
In the future, this should allow us to pass arbitrary uncompiled
SharedFunctionInfos into the LazyCompileDispatcher.

Tar and Gzip would include timestamps for files in the gcmole package,
which meant that they weren't deterministic across multiple builds. Now
we strip out the timestamps (as well as owner/group information) to make
the packaging more deterministic.

Disable --concurrent-inlining when v8_dict_property_const_tracking is
enabled, since the latter doesn't support the former. Add statusfile
variables to mark this as an incompatible flag, and otherwise disable it
via flags.

The gdb DCHECK frame skipping automatically skips over all the abort
etc. frames to get you to that DCHECK callsite you're actually looking
for.
However, this is annoying if you tried to call a function with a
breakpoint from the gdb prompt; the frame skipping wold skip over your
breakpoint back up to the failing DCHECK.
Now, we abort the frame walk on dummy frames inserted by gdb execution.

Tip of tree puts both internalized and in-place-internalizable strings
into the shared heap object cache. But only internalized strings need
to go in there, since we can't have duplicates of those. It's fine to
allocate in-place-internalizable strings in the shared heap each time
a new Isolate is initialized, it'll be deduplicated if it's
internalized eventually.

Due to caching issues we will not be able to store host-defined options
directly on the Script anymore. ScriptOrModule can thus no longer be
a i::Script.
NodeJS keeps weak references from ScriptOrModule to their import meta
data. This CL changes ScriptOrModule to be a temporary struct which has
a different lifetime. As a temporary fix until the API is fully updated
we introduce the v8_scriptormodule_legacy_lifetime compile-time flag.
It keeps references to ScriptOrModule alive on the Script to restore the
previous behavior (at an additional memory cost).

This guarantees that if it's context-allocated, it'll be the first
slot in the context. That in turn allows us to drop a special index on
scope-info pointing at the receiver entry; once we update arguments
object handling to take the receiver possibly being there into
account.

This CL adds a new snapshot to hold objects that are in the shared heap
or may need to be in the shared heap depending on runtime flags.
Currently this is to support --shared-string-table, which puts all
in-place-internalizable strings, internalized strings, and the
string table into the shared heap.
The shared heap snapshot is never deserialized into client Isolates.
This means when V8 is started without a shared Isolate, the shared heap
snapshot is deserialized into all Isolates.

This patch adds infrastructure for collecting feedback about call_ref
call targets in Liftoff code, and using that feedback for turning
such calls into inlineable direct calls when building Turbofan graphs.
The feature is considered experimental quality and hence off by default,
--wasm-speculative-inlining turns it on.

Class Constructors are special, because they are callable but [[Call]]
raises an exception. Instead of checking if a JS function is a class
constructor for every JS function call, this CL adds a new instance
type for class constructors.
This way we can use a fast instance type range check for the common
case, and only check for class constructors in the uncommon case were
a class constructor is called and when we need to raise an exception.

WPT and WebAssembly spec tests are not 100% in sync, which means that
there are aspects of the WebAssembly spec that get only tested by WPT.
Up until now WPT was only executed on the blink side, and failing tests
were just ignored. With this CL we add WPT to the existing wasm spec
test setup, so that we run both the spec tests, and WPT.

DataView constructor, DataView.prototype.byteLength

On MacOS, `ps -e | grep foo` always finds a match, because `ps`
already sees the `grep` command, which matches the search string.
Luckily, `pgrep` exists as an elegant alternative.

Remove the BaselineData intermediate structure for baseline code, and
write the baseline Code object into the SharedFunctionInfo directly. We
still need a pointer to the BytecodeArray/InterpreterData, so re-use the
Code object's deoptimization data slot for this (baseline code doesn't
have deoptimization data).
A consequence of this is that the BytecodeArray pointer becomes
immutable when there is baseline code. This means that we cannot install
a debug BytecodeArray while baseline code is active (we have to flush it
first), and we can't tier-up code with debug BytecodeArray to baseline.

Until now, the cross-over mutator would choke on several expressions
from DB and bail out (just wastes some time). We also have a script,
test_db.js to test on how many expressions it is going to bail out.
With this change, we already omit adding such expressions to the
DB in the first place. As a result, the test_db script now returns
zero failing expressions (while all other expressions remain).
Regression tests that now no longer apply are removed, instead a
test is added that ensures that a failing expression isn't added
to the DB.

The CL https://crrev.com/c/2928505 changed tests without changing the
fuzzer with the result that tests fail now.
It's not helpful to switch to using new API methods in generated fuzz
tests, as they'd then not bisect well backwards to older V8 versions.

In a follow-up CL, the backing stores will, when the sandbox is enabled,
be referenced from V8 objects through offsets rather than raw pointers.
For that to work, all backing stores must be located inside the virtual
memory cage. This CL prepares for that.

Adds a heap verification GN arg to gate the marking verifier and live
bytes verification on. The flag may be used in future for other more
expensive checks as well.
Currently, the flag is automatically enabled in dcheck_is_on and debug
builds.
The change enables live bytes verification for the library in regular
debug builds which may flush out issues.

Rather than depending on slow signature checks, receiver type checks are
performed using fast numeric instance type checks.
This CL adds a instance type range for embedders to assign values and
uses these to perform type checks.

Add support to flush only baseline code. FLAG_flush_baseline_code
controls if baseline code is flushed or not and FLAG_flush_bytecode
controls if bytecode is flushed or not. With this CL it is possible
to control if we want to flush only bytecode / only baseline code / both.
This also lets us have different heuristics for bytecode and baseline
code flushing.

Since most Torque-defined extern classes use @generateCppClass, it makes
more sense to instead annotate the small number that don't. This is part
of the cleanup work that Nico recommended in [1].
Classes that still have to opt out:
- Those that can be converted by https://crrev.com/c/3015666
- HeapObject: sort of special since it's the root of the inheritance
hierarchy. Generated code would include two declarations that don't
compile until HeapObject is defined:

Address ptr, HeapObject::AllowInlineSmiStorage allow_smi);
- SmallOrdered*: these classes use templates on the C++ side, which is
not currently representable in Torque.
- SwissNameDictionary: according to a comment, the Torque generation for
this class is incorrect. I haven't investigated further.
Drive-by fix: make the Torque formatter keep LF on Windows rather than
writing CRLF.

I've noticed a few places where class fields as defined in Torque have
different names than the corresponding accessors in the C++ class. I
think they should match. Most of this change is just mechanically
updating the various places that use k##Field##Offset for those fields.

Slightly lowers the interrupt budget for Turboprop and increases the
interrupt budget scaling factor for TurboFan. This gives the best
balance between benchmark performance and reducing optimization
overhead.

Wasm has the attribute sourceLineToBytecodePosition and adds the source
lines via setSourceLineToBytecodePosition in which they are 0-based.
Non-Wasm doesn't have that attribute and uses insertSourcePositions
which is 1-based. In non-wasm we are being off by one.
As a note, the sourcePositionsInRange call in insertSourcePositions
doesn't return a list for Wasm since they rely on
setSourceLineToBytecodePosition and therefore do not have that
off-by-one error.
Drive-by: Several elements have the same source position so update
addHtmlElementToSourcePosition to handle more than one element.
Drive-by: Renames due to having the same name but different
capitalization, which was confusing.

If you now click a line number on the source panel (left panel) you will
get the nodes (middle panel) highlighted and the disassembly code (right
panel). As a bonus, you can click on the middle or right panels and get
the same result (i.e. you can click on a disassembly instruction and see
the highlighted source text and nodes).
Note that not all source text has a node or disassembly instruction
associated with it.

With relative paths in the debug symbols, lldb cannot find the source
files, so set up a source map to direct "../.." to V8 root. This is
similar to what Chromium does in src/tools/lldb/lldbinit.py.

Start a local symbol server using the local-web-sever node package:
ws --stack system-analyzer/lws-middleware.js lws-static cors
The system-analyzer will then use it to symbolize profiles.
Note: The symbol server will execute `nm` and `objdump` locally.

Currently, running jco gives us an error message like so:

The fix is to cast the call to (void). I've only used and found this
issue with jco, but I think the other commands have the same issue, so

This limits the feature of running Memory-hungry tests in sequence to
the GCE bots in swarming. There, the positive memory impact is large
due to the overall lower system memory and the negative runtime impact
is small due to the smaller number of cores.

- Asynchronously load source map from sourceMappingURL
- Once loaded, annotate source positions with their original position
- Update script panel tooltip to include link to original source

- Shuffle around some code to make createScriptNode async, in case

Inline scripts share the same URL, so lookup of script by URL on them
can give the wrong result. Also, their source positions are relative to
the start of the HTML file, so we need to infer the starting line from
the Script's compilation event.
As a drive-by, fix the tooltip to lock in-place on click.

Add better support for lots of thin ticks by:
* Removing stroke on ticks (so that the stroke isn't thicker than the
tick itself)
* Alternating colours of the ticks between light and dark (so that
neighbouring ticks are still distinguishable)
* Making selection drawing use isInputPending to allow faster looping
over multiple ticks.
