6a769ac1df [presubmit] Enable readability/namespace linter checking. 
This enables linter checking for "readability/namespace" violations
during presubmit and instead marks the few known exceptions that we
allow explicitly.

05507cc3ea Reland II of 'Optimize trivial regexp disjunctions' CL 1176453002 
This change rewrites regexps like (ab|ac|z|ad|ae|af) into (a[b-f]|z).  We can only reorder disjunctions like this for case-dependent regexps.  For case-independent regexps, the disjunctions should be pre-sorted for best results.

d07a2eb806 Rename ASSERT* to DCHECK*. 
This way we don't clash with the ASSERT* macros
defined by GoogleTest, and we are one step closer
to being able to replace our homegrown base/ with
base/ from Chrome.

a4506cd3f2 Move platform abstraction to base library 
Also split v8-core independent methods from checks.h to base/logging.h and
merge v8checks with the rest of checks.

The CPU::FlushICache method is moved to CpuFeatures::FlushICache

RoundUp and related methods are moved to base/macros.h

Remove all layering violations from src/libplatform

a5a21a0da4 Move OS::MemCopy and OS::MemMove out of platform to utils 
Since both are jitted on some platforms and depend on codegen, they
don't belong to the platform abstraction. At the same time, I can't put
them to codegen.h, as this would introduce cyclic dependencies.

a0aed63bbb Replace qsort with std::sort. 
std::sort is a template, so it can be inlined more aggressively. Also, it's
O(n log n), while libc's qsort is O(n^2)

98db16d94f Progress towards making Zones independent of Isolates and Threads. 
This CL changes some parts of the code to explicitly pass around a
Zone.  Not passing in a zone is okay too (in fact most of v8 still
doesn't), but that may incur a TLS lookup.

132af25697 Split nodes and edges into separate arrays in heap profiler. 
This allowed the following changes:
  - heap profiler now makes one pass less over the heap.
  - HeapEntriesMap does not allocate EntryInfo per each entry.
  - there's no need for an extra pass to set indexes before serialization.

As a result snapshot taking time has reduced up to 2x times.

08bed81f83 Grow lists by a factor of 2 instead of 1.5 on a resize. 
For zone lists this avoids resizing and reduces overall allocation
in most cases (especially for small lists).

This change will ensure that full code with debug break slots is compiled and activated for all functions which already have activation frames.

This additional handling is only for functions which have activations on the stack, and that activation is of the full code compiled without debug break slots. In that case the full code is recompiled with debug break slots. It is ensured that the full code is compiled generating the exact same instructions - except for the additional debug break slots - as before. The return address on the stack is then patched to continue execution in the new code.

Also fixed SortedListBSearch to actually use the passed comparision function.

81df4a42e4 Support for precise stepping in functions compiled before debugging was started (step 1) 
This change will ensure that all non-optimized code will be compiled
with debug break slots when debugging is initiated. This is handled by
scanning the heap for non-optimized functions without debug break slots and setting their code to be lazy recomplied. When the lazy recompilation happens the code will ge generated with debug break slots (if debugging is still active at that point in time).

ec58c05f4e Add support for startup data (snapshot) compression. 
This is for mobile platforms where application footprint size is
important. To avoid including compression libraries into V8, we assume
that the host machine have them (true for Linux), and rely on embedder
to provide decompressed data.

Currently, only snapshot data can be comressed. It is also possible to
compress libraries sources, but it is more involved and will be
addressed in another CL.

1695003bb9 Heap profiler: reduce heap snapshots size. 
The size of a snapshot is now 65-80% of the JS heap size (tested on
GMail and Wave), previously it was >200%.

30a0a7de43 Split nested namespaces declaration in two lines in accordance with C++ Style Guide. 
This issue was raised by Brett Wilson while reviewing my changelist for readability. Craig Silverstein (one of C++ SG maintainers) confirmed that we should declare one namespace per line. Our way of namespaces closing seems not violating style guides (there is no clear agreement on it), so I left it intact.
