3cc12b4a96 [runtime] Deprecate Runtime_FinalizeClassDefinition entry.
By now the runtime entry function in question is a duplicate of the
existing Runtime_ToFastProperties function. This just gets rid of the
duplication.

fa160602a3 Unship V8 custom Promise methods
The data from UseCounters are in--V8's custom Promise methods are not
in wide use on the web (<.002%). Therefore, this patch removes them.
That includes:
- Promise.prototype.chain
- Promise.defer -- the most widely used of the bunch
- Promise.accept

For now, those methods are still available by checking the "disable
latest stable JavaScript features" flag, or --promise-extra at the
command line, but I expect them to be fully removable.

b767329b37 Fix Map::AsArray to properly iterate over the backing store
Old code failed to walk over deleted elements, instead treating
deleted elements as "undefined" in the output array.

This is the Map equivalent of commit 2d9bfe9ad5.

Also micro-optimized the loops to avoid an extra call to KeyAt()
and used a direct hole comparison instead of calling IsTheHole().

8c8600db2e [turbofan] Rename floating point register / slot methods.
Renames IsDouble* predicates to IsFP*.
Adds specific IsFloat*, IsDouble*, and IsSimd128* predicates.
Adds specific GetFloatRegister, GetDoubleRegister, and
GetSimd128Register methods.

This is mostly a mechanical renaming of IsDouble* to IsFP* methods.

This shouldn't change code generation at all. All fp registers are still
treated as double registers.

2da70f853d [turbofan] Take the immediate size in account when narrowing ia32/x64 word comparison operators.
Trying to re-land http://crrev.com/1948453002 after fixing assembler-x64.cc in http://crrev.com/1962563003.

Before this patch, we would emit a cmp or test with a memory operand only if both of the operands in the IR were loads. Now if either of them is a load and the other one is an immediate, we can use a memory operand if the load representation machine size is wide enough to represent the latter.

b8229ec446 [turbofan] Initial version of allocation folding and write barrier elimination.
This adds a new pass MemoryOptimizer that walks over the effect chain
from Start and lowers all Allocate, LoadField, StoreField, LoadElement,
and StoreElement nodes, trying to fold allocations into allocation
groups and eliminate write barriers on StoreField and StoreElement if
possible (i.e. if the object belongs to the current allocation group and
that group allocates in new space).

41d571dfe8 Fix TypedArray Property optimizations
This patch installs %TypedArray% and its prototype on the native
context, and wires them up to each TypedArray subclass. This is later
used to check the holder of length, byteLength and byteOffset is
%Typedarray% and apply the appropriate optimizations.

99230f8d0e [x64] Fix testw with immediates.
Assembler::testw(Register, Immediate) and Assembler::testw(const Operand&, Immediate) were emitting only the first 8 bits of a 16-bit immediate, causing unexpected crashes.

This went unnoticed because before http://crrev.com/1948453002 no compiler was using them.

434ef2ccfd [turbofan] Remove deprecated --turbo-osr flag.
The flag in question used to fall-back to Crankshaft whenever an OSR
request couldn't be handled by TurboFan. By now OSR in TurboFan is
sufficiently stabilized that one single --use-osr flag should do it.

a6da98d86f Introduce a new phantom weakness type without finalization callback.
Handles of this type are automatically reset by the garbage collector
when their objects are not longer reachable.

The motivation is to reduce pause time of external.weak_global_handles
phase of the garbage collector by not maintaing the list of pending
callbacks and not calling the callbacks.

Local testing on discourse page of the v8.inifinite_scroll benchmark
shows 7x improvement for this GC phase.

Before:
external.weak_global_handles

 min: 0.0
 max: 4.5
 avg: 0.757142857143

After:
external.weak_global_handles
 len: 21
 min: 0.0
 max: 0.5
 avg: 0.109523809524

A follow-up patch will enable the new phantom handles in Chromium.

a4cd1eef0a [wasm] Make wasm info available on the stack trace
This changes different locations to extract the reference to the wasm
object and the function index from the stack trace, and make it
available through all the APIs which process stack traces.
The javascript CallSite object now has the new methods isWasm(),
getWasmObject() and getWasmFunctionIndex(); the byte offset is
available via getPosition().

Function names of wasm frames should be fully functional with this
commit, position information works reliably for calls, but not for
traps like unreachable or out-of-bounds accesses.

ca5aa3c86a [interpreter] Always 'continue' loops by jumping forward to end of body.
We sometimes used to continue by jumping _back_ to the condition check at the
top of the loop. After my recent generator-related changes, that check is no
longer at the loop header, so a continue could create an additional loop. In
order to avoid this, we now always set the continue target to be the first
instruction following the loop body.

ce38a8a92a [turbofan] Inline the allocation fast path.
Now that everything is properly wired to the effect chain when we get to
ChangeLowering, we can safely inline the allocation fast path and only
need to consule the slow path stub fallback when bump pointer allocation
fails.

9e9abcfff4 Properly disallow 'yield' in class expressions and arrow parameters
Yield expressions are not allowed in formal parameter initializers of
generators, but we weren't properly catching the case where the yield
expression appeared in the 'extends' clause of a class expression.

They also aren't allowed in arrow functions, which we were failing to
catch due to not looking at the obscurely-named "FormalParameterInitializerError"
bit of ExpressionClassifier.

This patch passes along an ExpressionClassifier when parsing class
expressions and accumulates the proper error for that case.

For the arrow function case, the fix is simply to check for the
"formal parameter initializer" error once we know we've parsed
an arrow function. The error message used for this has also
been made specific to yield expressions.

Tests are added both for the error case and the non-error cases (where
yield is used in such a position inside the class body).

4aa02441da [turbofan] Remove left-over change bits from ChangeLowering.
Now ChangeLowering is only concerned with lowering memory access and
allocation operations, and all changes are consistently lowered during
the effect/control linearization pass. The next step is to move the
left over lowerings to a pass dedicated to eliminate redundant loads and
stores, eliminate write barriers, fold and inline allocations.

Drive-by-fix: Rename ChangeBitToBool to ChangeBitToTagged,
ChangeBoolToBit to ChangeTaggedToBit, and ChangeInt31ToTagged to
ChangeInt31ToTaggedSigned for consistency.

8ba46715b0 [Ignition] Test ignition on all bots.
This adds ignition to the testing variants that are run on all
bots.

Failing tests can only be skipped with the NO_IGNITION
keyword in status files. Existing expectations for the
ignition_turbofan variant are all duplicated and use the
NO_IGNITION keyword as well now.

d1b3d426ce [turbofan] Run everything after representation selection concurrently.
Further refactor the pipeline to even run the first scheduler (part of
the effect control linearization) concurrently. This temporarily
disables most of the write barrier elimination, but we will get back to
that later.

Drive-by-fix: Remove the dead code from ChangeLowering, and stack
allocate the Typer in the pipeline. Also migrate the AllocateStub to a
native code builtin, so that we have the code object + a handle to it
available all the time.

0d6d0b700f [wasm] Add tests for function name encoding
In order to have a wasm object (as JSObject), this adds a method to

9fd2650ae0 [wasm] Store function names in the wasm object
We now store the wasm object and the function index in the
deoptimization data of the wasm Code object, and store an array with
function names in the wasm object.

This will make both the wasm module as well as the respective function
name available from the code object.

b06fa13704 [interpreter] Be explicit when to test BytecodeGraphBuilder.

739947880c Widen --harmony-for-in flag to throw errors in PreParser
The first version of --harmony-for-in avoided throwing PreParser
errors in order to retain use counting. This patch threads
use_counts_ through to the PreParser to allow use counting in
the PreParser while also throwing errors for this case.

Also slightly refactored the Parser code to do a little less
code duplication.

0231a7efa2 [turbofan] Introduce TruncateTaggedToWord32 simplified operator.
This allows us to get rid of the "push TruncateFloat64ToInt32 into Phi"
trick that was used in the MachineOperatorReducer to combine the
ChangeTaggedToFloat64 and TruncateFloat64ToInt32 operations. Instead of
doing that later, we can just introduce the proper operator during the
representation selection directly.

Also separate the TruncateFloat64ToInt32 machine operator, which had two
different meanings depending on a flag (either JavaScript truncation or
C++ style round to zero). Now there's a TruncateFloat64ToWord32 which
represents the JavaScript truncation (implemented via TruncateDoubleToI
macro + code stub) and the RoundFloat64ToInt32, which implements the C++
round towards zero operation (in the same style as the other WebAssembly
driven Round* machine operators).

5c8609de9d [interpreter] Heal closures when bytecode array is gone.
This ensures the InterpreterEntryTrampoline heals code entry fields
inside closures when being called without a valid bytecode array. This
is preparatory work to allow removal of bytecode when switching some
functions to other types of code.

550c0f9f55 [turbofan] Move more type checks to the representation selector.
Get rid of further typing checks from ChangeLowering and put them into
the representation selection pass instead (encoding the information in
the operator instead).

Drive-by-change: Rename ChangeSmiToInt32 to ChangeTaggedSignedToInt32

861295bf16 [turbofan] Optimize tagged conversion based on type.
If we have to convert a float64 value to tagged representation and we
already know that the value is either in Signed31/Signed32 or
Unsigned32 range, then we can just convert the float64 to word32 and
use the fast word32 to tagged conversion. Doing this in
ChangeLowering (or the effect linearization pass) would be unsound, as
the types on the nodes are no longer usable.

This removes all Type uses from effect linearization. There's still some
work to be done for ChangeLowering tho.

d5ffbfefd9 X87: Change the test case for X87 RunTruncateFloat32ToUint32.
The CL #35651 (https://codereview.chromium.org/1858323003) exposed one hiden issue in RunTruncateFloat32ToUint32 test cases and X87 failed at it.

  Here is the issue in RunTruncateFloat32ToUint32:
  For float input = static_cast<float>(*i), the x87 GCC would optimize the input viariable in float floating register for release build.

  The problem is:
  SSE float register has single precision rounding semantic While X87 register hasn't when directly use floating register value. It will cause the value of input viariable has
  different precision for IA32 and X87 port. So static_cast<uint32_t>(input) will be different for IA32 and X87 port too.
  This led to CHECK_EQ(static_cast<uint32_t>(input), m.Call(input)) fail although V8 turbofan JITTed code m.Call(input) has exactly same result in both X87 and IA32 port.

  So we add the following sentence to do type cast to keep the single precision for RunTruncateFloat32ToUint32 by forcing the input viariable get value from memory insread of
  floating register.
  Such as: volatile float input = static_cast<float>(*i).

59546149c6 Remove all non-function-name uses of CONST_LEGACY
Now that all 'const' declarations are of the ES2015 variety, the only
use of CONST_LEGACY is for function name bindings in sloppy mode
named function expressions.

This patch aims to delete all code meant to handle other cases, which
mostly had to do with hole initialization/hole checks. Since function
name bindings are initialized at entry to a function, it's impossible
to ever observe one in an uninitialized state.

To simplify the patch further, it removes the `IMPORT` VariableMode,
as it's not likely to be needed (IMPORT is identical to CONST for
the purpose of VariableMode).

5df9406a07 [arm] Turn off the default NaN mode on arm.
The default NaN mode was originally used to identify holes in double
arrays. With (https://codereview.chromium.org/863633002/) signalling
NaNs are used for that, and the default NaN mode is not needed anymore.
Without the default NaN mode it is easier to satisfy the WebAssembly
spec which requires that quiet NaNs are preserved.

62cca39e6c [compiler] Move ensuring deoptimization support to backends.

2837cb387b disallow left-trim fast path when sampling heap profiler is active
Left trimming assumes that nobody other than the JSArray has a reference to the
backing store. Sampling heap profiler may profile the backing store and keep a
reference too it. This reference was never updated on a left-trim, causing a

086bc49894 [turbofan] Remove support for --turbo-types.
We had exactly one test case for --noturbo-types, so it's likely that
the generic pipeline (without types) was already broken for quite some
time, plus no one expressed interest in maintaining it, plus it
complicates the JSGenericLowering integration. So decision is to kill
it.

3184aff964 Eliminate zero count allocations from profile
If no objects allocated at a location are live when a profile is
collected we report a zero count sample. This is confusing to those
looking at the profiles and will leak memory.

We now delete allocations once the number of sampled live objects for
that location reaches zero.

a7d3e24fd6 [wasm] Refactoring of wasm-external-refs.
1) I moved the implementations of the wrapper functions into a new cc
file so that I can use these wrapper functions in tests.

2) I made a generic test for all tests in
test-run-calls-to-external-references.cc. In the new test we only
compare the result of a function call through an external reference with
the result of a direct function call. This is sufficient because we only
want to test function calls through external references work here.
The implementation of these functions are tested somewhere else.

0ce296f180 [interpreter] Rely on SharedFunctionInfo in UseIgnition.

3f92137209 [heap] Non-contiguous young generation
This change removes the large contiguous backing store from the young generation
and replaces it regular pages.

We keep a pool of pages that are committed/uncommitted to avoid creating virtual
memory maps during growing and shrinking.

4edf16ddd9 Fix treatment of rest pattern in array destructuring.
When seeing a rest pattern, we used to get the remaining elements from the
iterator by calling %concat_iterable_to_array on it.  This was wrong because it
caused an observable [[Get]] for @@iterator (which the iterator may not even
provide).

This CL gets rid of the call to %concat_iterable_to_array and does the iteration
manually in a simple while-loop.  It also gets rid of %concat_iterable_to_array
itself because there aren't any other uses of it.

45d75bca5c [turbofan] Handle dead diamonds in scheduling and add a test.
The background here is that graphs generated from WASM are not trimmed.
That means there can be some floating control diamonds that are not
reachable from end. An assertion in the scheduler for phis from floating
diamonds checks that the use edge in this situation is the control edge,
but in general, any edge could cause this.

Scheduling still works without this assertion. The longer term fix
is to either trim the graphs (more compile time overhead for WASM)
or improve the scheduler's handling of dead code in the graph. Currently
it does not schedule dead code but the potential use positions of
dead code are used in the computation of the common dominator of uses. We could
recognize dead nodes in PrepareUses() and check in GetBlockForUse()
as per TODO.

114c109a32 MIPS: Fix Run_Wasm_F32CopySign.
Run_Wasm_F32CopySign was failing because function copysign
that is used to verify the results does implicit conversion
from float to double. In this conversion we lose information
about NaN sign and the test fails.

Fix by using copysignf to avoid unnecessary float to double
conversion.

f70b3d3b2c Preserve exception message in iterator finalization.
The parser uses a try-catch in order to record when the client of an iterator
throws.  The exception then used to get rethrown via 'throw', which
unfortunately resulted in the original exception message object getting
overwritten.

This CL solves this as follows:
- add a clear_pending_message flag to TryCatchStatement (set to true in normal
  cases),
- set clear_pending_message to false for the TryCatchStatement used in iterator
  finalization
- change full-codegen, turbofan, and the interpreter to emit the ClearPendingMessage call
  only when the flag is set,
- replace 'throw' with '%ReThrow' in the iterator finalization code, thus
  reusing the (not-cleared) pending message

eaa92feb9a [builtins] Migrate Math.clz32 to a TurboFan builtin.

values which are outside int range can get in range through truncation.

a0aac3cb1d [test] Fix deterministic test shards.
Test case objects were sorted without key function, resulting
in random sort order. On sharded builds, the shards are
determined by the sort order and rely on a deterministic
sorting. This led to random cctest and unittest cases being

8d20f2fe37 [builtins] Make Math.ceil, Math.trunc and Math.round optimizable.
Migrate Math.ceil, Math.round and Math.trunc to TurboFan code stubs,
similar to what we did with Math.floor, and make these builtins properly
optimizable in TurboFan via appropriate simplified operators NumberCeil,
NumberRound and NumberTrunc, which are intended to be reusable for
ToInteger and ToLength optimizations that will be done in a followup CL.

Also allows us to kill the funky %RoundNumber runtime function, which
was quite heavy.

Improve test coverage for Math.ceil and Math.trunc a lot, especially
making sure that we also properly trigger the TurboFan builtin reducer
case.

c9f59780f7 [wasm] Fix arm64 frame alignment.
In JavaScript code and stubs, JSSP mirrors the CSP but may be unaligned.
    But in WASM code only CSP is used, like native code, and it must be
    aligned.
    Calls into WASM from JS need to carefully align the C stack
    pointer (csp) and restore the previous JSSP, while calls from WASM
    to JS need to compute a new JSSP and restore their CSP after the
    call.

36ead519c8 [builtins] Provide Math.floor as TurboFan builtin.
This way we avoid the second deoptimization for the Math.floor and
Math.ceil builtins when -0 is involved. We still deoptimize the inlined
Crankshaft version in various cases, that's a separate issue.

The algorithm used for implement CodeStubAssembler::Float64Floor is
vaguely based on the fast math version used in the libm of various BSDs,
but had to be reengineered to match the EcmaScript specification.

92a571e546 Add ES2015 RegExp full subclassing semantics behind a flag
This patch implements ES2015 RegExp subclassing semantics, namely the
hardest part where RegExp.prototype.exec and certain flag getters can
be overridden in order to provide different behavior. This change is
hidden behind a new flag, --harmony-regexp-exec. The flag guards the
behavior by installing entirely different implementations of the
methods which follow the new semantics.

Preliminary performance tests show a 3-4x regression in the Octane
RegExp benchmark. The new code doesn't call out into several fast
paths that the old code supported, so this is expected.

The patch is tested mostly by test262, where most RegExp tests are fixed,
with the exception of deliberate spec violations for web compatibility,
and for the 'sticky' flag, which is not dynamically read by this patch
in all cases but rather statically compiled into the RegExp. The latter
will require a follow-on patch to implement. A small additional set of
tests verifies one particular case, mostly to check whether the flag
mechanism works.

a827400025 Ensure Schedules generated by the RawMachineAssembler are in edge-split form
This CL adds an extra pass before calculating the special RPO
order in the custom RawMachineAssembler pipeline that
walks through the schedule and inserts extra blocks to
guarantee that the control flow graph is in split edge form. It
also propagates deferred block marks forward to these new
blocks if appropriate.

ed18aa65ea Remove support for legacy const, part 1
Now that ES2015 const has shipped, in Chrome 49, legacy const declarations
are no more. This lets us remove a bunch of code from many parts of the
codebase.

In this patch, I remove parser support for generating legacy const variables
from const declarations. This also removes the special "illegal declaration"
bit from Scope, which has ripples into all compiler backends.

Also gone are any tests which relied on legacy const declarations.

Note that we do still generate a Variable in mode CONST_LEGACY in one case:
function name bindings in sloppy mode. The likely fix there is to add a new
Variable::Kind for this case and handle it appropriately for stores in each
backend, but I leave that for a later patch to make this one completely
subtractive.

43fe7d6854 [builtins] Add support for JS builtins written in TurboFan.
This CL adds support for builtins with JavaScript linkage written using
the TurboFan CodeStubAssembler, but with a JSCall descriptor (which was
already supported thanks to a previous patch by Ben Smith). As a first
example, we convert the Math.sqrt builtin and thereby get rid of the
%_MathSqrt intrinsic, which causes trouble for the representation
selection pass in the JavaScript pipeline.

48d082af38 [interpreter] Add support for scalable operands.
This change introduces wide prefix bytecodes to support wide (16-bit)
and extra-wide (32-bit) operands. It retires the previous
wide-bytecodes and reduces the number of operand types.

Operands are now either scalable or fixed size. Scalable operands
increase in width when a bytecode is prefixed with wide or extra-wide.

The bytecode handler table is extended to 256*3 entries. The
first 256 entries are used for bytecodes with 8-bit operands,
the second 256 entries are used for bytecodes with operands that
scale to 16-bits, and the third group of 256 entries are used for
bytecodes with operands that scale to 32-bits.

faaf8512bf S390: Disable gcc generation of mul-add in cctests
Generated code performs distinct floating multiply and add/subtract
operations. Tests fail when GCC uses mul-add to calculate the
expected result since these instructions provide higher accuracy due
to the lack of an intermediate round.

b7aa4c3ab3 [stubs] Split ToNumberStub into reusable subparts.
Split ToNumberStub into the entry ToNumberStub, and two new stubs,
StringToNumberStub and NonNumberToNumberStub, which can be used when we
already know something about the input (i.e. in various branches of the
code stubs, or in TurboFan graphs).

Also introduce an appropriate StringToNumber simplified operator for
TurboFan, that is pure and is lowered to an invocation of the newly
added StringToNumberStub.

8ba35e73ba [compiler] Remove redundant unoptimized compile trigger.
The trigger point in question is by now obsolete. The optimized compile
job will itself ensure that deoptimization support is present on the
incoming SharedFunctionInfo, this will make sure to produce baseline
code when necessary. The ScopeInfo is also installed at that point in
time.

6e8958fff4 [serializer] ensure that immortal immovable roots are correctly deserialized.
Immortal immovable roots must be allocated on the first page of the space.
If serializing the root list exceeds the first page, immortal immovable root
objects might end up outside of the first page. That could cause missing
write barriers.

We now iterate the root list twice. The first time we only serialize immortal
immovable root objects. The second time we serialize the rest.

da3b266150 [heap] Move to two-level free-list
Before this CL, free memory (FreeSpace) has been managed through a global free
list that contains single-linked lists of FreeSpace nodes for each size class.

We move away from this approach to a global two-level doubly-linked list that
refers to singly-linked lists of FreeSpace nodes on the corresponding pages.
This way we can refill on a page-level granularity. Furthermore, it also enables
constant-time eviction of pages from the free list.

f507bc1c72 [serializer] Add API to warm up startup snapshot with an additional script.
A startup snapshot is considered cold when it does not contain any
function code. We can now create a warm startup snapshot from a cold one
by running a warm-up script. Functions exercised by the warm-up script
are compiled and its code included in the warm startup snapshot. Side
effects caused by the warm-up script does not persist.

2fefc4827e [Interpreter] Pops the context to the correct level on return.
We need to pop the context to correct level on return as well. This was incorrectly

when we have a try-catch-finally block and catch does a return, the return
does not happen immediately. It should execute finally block before it
returns. Return statement should pop the context to the correct level as
expected by finally block.

Original commit message:
    Int64Sub is lowered to a new turbofan operator, Int32SubPair. The new
    operator takes 4 inputs an generates 2 outputs. The inputs are the low
    word of the left input, high word of the left input, the low word of the
    right input, and high word of the right input. The ouputs are the low
    and high word of the result of the subtraction.

    The implementation is very similar to the implementation of Int64Add.

43f65e89f2 X87: Change the test case for X87 Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64.
The CL #34701 (https://codereview.chromium.org/1779123002/) added the Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64 test cases and X87 failed at them.

  The reason is same as the CL #33630 (Issue 1649323002: X87: Change the test case for X87 RunRoundInt32ToFloat32), please refer: https://codereview.chromium.org/1649323002.

  Here is the key comments from CL #33630:
  Some new test cases use CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function for result check. When GCC compiling the CheckFloatEq() and CheckDoubleEq() function,
  those inlined functions has different behavior comparing with GCC ia32 build and x87 build.
  The major difference is sse float register still has single precision rounding semantic. While X87 register has no such rounding precsion semantic when directly use register value.
  The V8 turbofan JITTed has exactly same result in both X87 and IA32 port.

  For CHECK_EQ(a, b) function, if a and b are double or float, it will has similar behaviors like CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function when compiled by GCC and causes the test case fail.

  So we add the following sentence to do type case to keep the same precision for Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64. Such as: volatile double expect = static_cast<float>(*i).

  ahaas put those codes in CHECK_FLOAT_EQ and CHECK_DOUBLE_EQ macros in CL #34534 (https://codereview.chromium.org/1773513002 ).

  So this CL replaced the CHECK_EQ in Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64 to CHECK_FLOAT_EQ/CHECK_DOUBLE_EQ for x87 can pass Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64 tests.

Int64Sub is lowered to a new turbofan operator, Int32SubPair. The new
operator takes 4 inputs an generates 2 outputs. The inputs are the low
word of the left input, high word of the left input, the low word of the
right input, and high word of the right input. The ouputs are the low
and high word of the result of the subtraction.

The implementation is very similar to the implementation of Int64Add.

@v8-arm-ports: please take a careful look at the implementation of sbc
in the simulator.

7f363d5d47 [test] Remove feature to mark flaky tests.
The feature was removed from the bots a while ago. It was
superseeded by the flaky-test detection which reruns tests.

Remaining tests still marked as flaky most certainly pass
since a while.

Referencing all the bugs whose expectations lines get

108efd7f54 Remove Scope::scope_contains_with_ bit
This part of Scope has existed since V8's initial check in, but from what
I can tell it's not required to implement "with". The only tests that
depend upon it are tests of the debugger and the Scope mirrors, but the
resulting test behavior after removing the bit still seems perfectly
reasonable to me. In fact, with the included fix for scope name collection,
the scope mirror is actually improved with this change.

As a bi-product, this fixes the attached bug, about the contains_with
bit having inconsistent values in some arrow function compilation
scenarios.

Since the optional Word64Popcnt operator does not exist on 32 bit platforms,

5a202cce6e Remove --harmony-modules flag and let embedder decide when modules are used
Modules already have a separate entrypoint into the engine (at the moment,
this is v8::ScriptCompiler::CompileModule, though that will change to
something like ParseModule). This meant that requiring a commandline flag
simply added an extra complexity burden on embedders. By removing the v8
flag, this lets embedders use their own flagging mechanism (such as d8's
"--module", or Blink's RuntimeEnabledFeatures) to control whether
modules are to be used.

Also remove old modules tests that were being skipped (since they test
very old, pre-ES2015 modules syntax).

de4f3d3eff Fix expression positions for for-loops.
FullCodegen generates 2 statement positions for the loop init block, like so:

  for(var i = 0; i....
      ^   ^

This change removes the first of those, updates unit tests,
and removes text expectations for Ignition.

An alternative would be to emulate the existing behaviour in Ignition, but:
- The new behaviour seems more logical,
- Ignition generates no bytecodes for the 'var', meaning there is no code position to attach the break position to.

3062af70eb Implement iterator finalization in array destructuring.
We must close the iterator whenever the destructuring didn't exhaust it, unless an iterator operation (eg. next) threw.  We do this by wrapping the iterator use in a try-catch-finally similar to the desugaring of for-of.

This is behind --harmony-iterator-close.

d1f68f776e [regexp] fix bogus assertion in CharacterRange constructor.
The CharacterRange constructor checks the input for validity. However,
CharacterRange::Singleton also uses the constructor and may have
kEndMarker as input, causing the check to fail.

The solution is to move the check to CharacterRange::Range and
consistently use it across the code base.

fd40570419 Don't do any special normalization if a boilerplate contains function literals.
This mechanism was used to ensure that functions ended up as constants on the map of prototypes defined using object literals, e.g.,:

function.prototype = {
  method: function() { ... }
}

Nowadays we treat prototypes specially, and make all their functions constants when an object turns prototype. Hence this special custom code isn't necessary anymore.

This also affects boilerplates that do not become prototypes. Their functions will not be constants but fields instead. Calling their methods will slow down. However, multiple instances of the same boilerplate will stay monomorphic. We'll have to see what the impact is for such objects, but preliminary benchmarks do not show this as an important regression.

46bd989a3a [compiler] Unify naming of methods in compiler API.

835c5e6beb [wasm] Rework encoding of local declarations.
Local declarations were previously encoded as an optional set of
4 uint16 values as part of the function declaration. This CL
implements the current design of moving these declarations to
a list of pairs of (type, count) that is part of the body.

  The reason is:
  For TEST(Inlining) test case, when level3 function is inlined, the key optimized crankshaft code will like below code normally:

  For most of architectures in V8, the GenerateBodyInstructionPost()  is empty, so both the inlined function’s pc_offset from DeoptimizationInputData and the pc_offset from sample stack points to  the same pc address .

  But if some architecture has special requirement and need to put some instruction after call instruction, the GenerateBodyInstructionPost() will do that work and generate instructions,  the inlined function’s pc_offset from DeoptimizationInputData and The pc_offset  from sample stack will points to  the different  pc address, the TEST(Inlining) test case can’t get the expected inlined code entry and failed.

  For all current architectures in v8, only x87 have this requirement.

  After communicated with Alexei Filippov <alph@chromium.org> in E-mail, we decided to disable the Inlining test case for x87 now and try to find a solution.

a5d4188849 x87: fix the use of CheckFloatEq and CheckDoubleEq in test.
Instead of using CheckFloatEq and CheckDoubleEq directly, I introduced
a macro which first stores the expected result in a volatile variable.

Here are some comments of previous CLs:

The reason is same as the CL #31808 (issue 1430943002, X87: Change the test case for X87 float operations), please refer: https://codereview.chromium.org/1430943002/.

  Here is the key comments from CL #31808
  Some new test cases use CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function for result check. When GCC compiling the CheckFloatEq() and CheckDoubleEq() function,
  those inlined functions has different behavior comparing with GCC ia32 build and x87 build.
  The major difference is sse float register still has single precision rounding semantic. While X87 register has no such rounding precsion semantic when directly use register value.
  The V8 turbofan JITTed has exactly same result in both X87 and IA32 port.

  So we add the following sentence to do type cast to keep the same precision for RunCallInt64ToFloat32/RunCallInt64ToFloat64. Such as: volatile double expect = static_cast<float>(*i).

e06d57b05d [Interpreter] Removes TestNotEqualsStrict bytecode from interpreter.

by the parser. Also, CompareIC does not have an implementation for

f24dffea4c Get rid of the different kinds of yield in the AST & full-codegen.
Now there is just one kind, corresponding to what was called "initial" before.
Replacement for "suspend": when the parser sees a yield in JS code, it
will turn it into a Yield node but wrap its argument in an iterator result
object.  Replacement for "final": the parser simply inserts a return statement
instead.

b1e345905a [wasm] Int64Lowering of FXXXConvertI64 instructions.
On 32-bit systems FXXXConvertI64 instructions are compiled to calls to
C functions. The TF node for the function call is already generated in
the wasm compiler, the lowering of the I64 parameter is done in the

5912e0f014 [compiler] Introduce code stubs for string relational comparisons.
Add StringLessThanStub, StringLessThanOrEqualStub, StringGreaterThanStub
and StringGreaterThanOrEqualStub, based on the CodeStubAssembler, and
hook them up with TurboFan (and Ignition). The stubs are currently
essentially comparable with the StringCompareStub, which is now
obsolete. We can later extend these stubs to cover more interesting
cases (i.e. two byte sequential string comparisons, etc.).

0e7f095c6d Restrict FunctionDeclarations in Statement position
ES2015 generally bans FunctionDeclarations in positions which expect a Statement,
as opposed to a StatementListItem, such as a FunctionDeclaration which constitutes
the body of a for loop. However, Annex B 3.2 and 3.4 make exceptions for labeled
function declarations and function declarations as the body of an if statement in
sloppy mode, in the latter case specifying that the semantics are as if the
function declaration occurred in a block. Chrome has historically permitted
further extensions, for the body of any flow control construct.

This patch addresses both the syntactic and semantic mismatches between V8 and
the spec. For the semantic mismatch, function declarations as the body of if
statements change from unconditionally hoisting in certain cases to acquiring
the sloppy mode function in block semantics (based on Annex B 3.3). For the
extra syntax permitted, this patch adds a flag,
--harmony-restrictive-declarations, which excludes disallowed function declaration
cases. A new UseCounter, LegacyFunctionDeclaration, is added to count how often
function declarations occur as the body of other constructs in sloppy mode. With
this patch, the code generally follows the form of the specification with respect
to parsing FunctionDeclarations, rather than allowing them in arbitrary Statement
positions, and makes it more clear where our extensions occur.
