dd3b14b7b4 [wasm] Fix test-run-wasm-module tests in debug mode.
test-run-wasm-module cctests broken in debug since recent refactoring changes for moving Compilation/Instantiation off the module object (https://codereview.chromium.org/2320723005). The problem here is that SetupIsolateForWasm tries to add the same property to a module_object multiple times and hits a DCHECK when this property is found on a lookup.
 - Fixed to use the setup method only once when CcTest::InitIsolateOnce is used.
 - Move setup method to test as this is only used for cctests/fuzzers. The install method should take care of this in the regular JS pipeline.

cc7926d672 [wasm] Move the wasm-module-runner from test/cctest to test/common
The wasm-module-runner is used both in cctests and in fuzzers. As
discussed offline, it is weird to include cctest header files in
fuzzers, so I introduce a new test/common directory which contains the
common files.

fb4a190cee Revert "[v8][wasm] Handles finally in try/finally blocks."
This reverts commit cf5180c3ef. It turns
out finally blocks aren't useful in the current incarnation of Wasm. We
might reintroduce it later.

8e5ac62ddf [wasm] Compilation/Instantiation pipeline works off module object
Moved the compilation/instantiation pipeline to work off the
module object (JSObject), making the compiled module data (the
FixedArray) an implementation detail. This:
- simplifies the code by removing duplicate decode->compile->instantiate
sequences
- sets up the stage for "dressing up" the runtime model with
stronger typed APIs
- helps relanding this CL: https://codereview.chromium.org/2305903002/.
It turns out that GCs during the cloning/instantiation events cause
trouble, and centering the source of truth on the module object helps
address this issue.

In the process, clarified cctest setup for wasm-capable isolates,
and changed signatures for consistency (using ModuleOrigin througout).

1521fe9c3c [wasm] Call the wasm interpreter from the wasm-code-fuzzer.
With this CL the wasm-code-fuzzer first decodes and interprets the test
case generated by the fuzzer. It then compiles the test case, but only
executes the compiled instance if the interpretation of the test case
was successful. If the compiled instance is executed, then the result of
the execution is compared with the result of the interpretation.

Additionally this CL refactors the CompileAndRunWasmModule function in
wasm-module.cc to resuse code in the call to the interpreter.

5f8a6ec4b1 [wasm] consolidate wasm and asm.js module compilation sequence
This unblocks avoiding the separate code template.
In the upcoming CL doing away with code templates, We need to track instances
through the module object, which needs to be separate from the compiled module
data, which is then shared with the first instance.

This CL ensures we have the object available in the asm.js scenario, too.

Note that this CL also unifies the error messaging when module
decoding fails.

0996cea5b6 [Interpreter] Introduce InterpreterCompilationJob
Adds InterpreterCompilationJob as a sub-class of
CompilationJob, to enable off-thread bytecode
generation. Currently only used in
Interpreter::MakeBytecode.

As part of this change, CompilationJob is modified
to make it less specific to optimized compilation,
renaming the phases as follows:
 - CreateGraph -> PrepareJob
 - OptimizeGraph -> ExecuteJob
 - GenerateCode -> FinalizeJob

RegisterWeakObjectsInOptimizedCode is also moved out
of CompilationJob and instead becomes a static function
on Compiler.

de369129d2 [wasm] Detect unrepresentability in the float32-to-int32 conversion correctly on arm.
In the current implementation of wasm an unrepresentable input of the
float32-to-int32 conversion is detected by first truncating the input, then
converting the truncated input to int32 and back to float32, and then checking
whether the result is the same as the truncated input.

This input check does not work on arm and arm64 for an input of (INT32_MAX + 1)
because on these platforms the float32-to-int32 conversion results in INT32_MAX
if the input is greater than INT32_MAX. When INT32_MAX is converted back to
float32, then the result is (INT32_MAX + 1) again because INT32_MAX cannot be
represented precisely as float32, and rounding-to-nearest results in (INT32_MAX
+ 1). Since (INT32_MAX + 1) equals the truncated input value, the input appears
to be representable.

With the changes in this CL, the result of the float32-to-int32 conversion is
incremented by 1 if the original result was INT32_MAX. Thereby the detection of
unrepresenable inputs in wasm works. Note that since INT32_MAX cannot be
represented precisely in float32, it can also never be a valid result of the
float32-to-int32 conversion.

@v8-mips-ports, can you do a similar implementation for mips?

77546feb85 Reland of "Implement WASM big-endian support".
Reland of https://codereview.chromium.org/2034093002 (reverted by

Original commit message:
Implement WASM support on big-endian platforms. WASM has
an implicit requirement that it is running on little-endian
machine. We achieve WASM support on BE by keeping data
in memory in little-endian order, and changing data
endianness before storing to memory and after loading from
memory.

9d6014ad55 Revert "Revert "[wasm] Complete separation of compilation and instantiation""
This reverts commit 1eb1dfabe4.

The original compilation separation change avoided associating a heap
for the wasm instance if memory was not provided, nor needed. The
grow memory CL assumed the old behavior, where a memory buffer was
always present, but may have had a zero size.

The 2CLS landed shortly after one another. We decided to treat the
grow memory as the race condition winner, so this CL here re-lands
compilation separation, plus adjusts grow memory to deal with
the undefined mem buffer.

0c7ee92783 [wasm] Complete separation of compilation and instantiation
Support for serializing/deserializing the compiled wasm module.

We want to reuse the javascript snapshotting mechanics, at least in the
short term, when we still use the JS heap for the compiled wasm code.
Given that a module may be compiled in one v8 instance and then
instantiated later, in a different instance, whatever information we need
at instantiation time must also be serializable.

We currently hold on to the un-decoded wasm bytes, for enabling
debugging scenarios. This imposes a ~20% penalty on the memory
requirements of the wasm compiled code. We do not need this data
otherwise, for runtime, and it is sensible to consider eventually loading it
on demand. Therefore, I intentionally avoided relying on it and re-
decoding the wasm module data, and instead saved the information
necessary to support instantiation.

Given how whatever we need to persist must be serializable, the CL
uses a structure made out of serializable objects (fixed arrays mostly)
for storing this information. I preferred going this route rather than
adding more wasm-specific support to the serializer, given that we want
to eventually move off the JS heap, and therefore the serializer.

Additionally, it turns out this extra information is relatively not complex:
minimal structure, little nesting depth, mostly simple data like numbers
or byte blobs, or opaque data like compiled functions.

This CL also moves export compilation ahead of instantiation time.

This change added a helper getter to FixedArray, to make typed retrieval
of elements easier.

c1d01aea11 [wasm] Separate compilation from instantiation
Compilation of wasm functions happens before instantiation. Imports are linked afterwards, at instantiation time. Globals and memory are also
allocated and then tied in via relocation at instantiation time.

This paves the way for implementing Wasm.compile, a prerequisite to
offering the compiled code serialization feature.

Currently, the WasmModule::Compile method just returns a fixed array
containing the code objects. More appropriate modeling of the compiled module to come.

Opportunistically centralized the logic on how to update memory
references, size, and globals, since that logic is the exact same on each
architecture, except for the actual storing of values back in the
instruction stream.

The last 4 test cases in test/cctest/wasm/test-run-wasm-asmjs.cc added by the CL 36911 (https://codereview.chromium.org/2061583002) use float_t and double_t type for WasmRunner.
  For examples: At line 249: WasmRunner<float_t> r(&module, MachineType::Uint32());

But float_t and double_t depends on FLT_EVAL_METHOD macro of compiler. FLT_EVAL_METHOD is variant on different platform, if the FLT_EVAL_METHOD is 2, both float_t and double_t will be long
  double and gcc or clang will met error when compiling   WasmRunner<long double> r(&module,MachineType::Uint32());

  For more details, please refer:
  float_t: http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/cmath/float_t/
FLT_EVAL_METHOD: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C99 check the IEEE 754 floating point support section directly.

This CL used float and double to replace float_t and double_t to avoid this issue.

a4cd1eef0a [wasm] Make wasm info available on the stack trace
This changes different locations to extract the reference to the wasm
object and the function index from the stack trace, and make it
available through all the APIs which process stack traces.
The javascript CallSite object now has the new methods isWasm(),
getWasmObject() and getWasmFunctionIndex(); the byte offset is
available via getPosition().

Function names of wasm frames should be fully functional with this
commit, position information works reliably for calls, but not for
traps like unreachable or out-of-bounds accesses.

45d75bca5c [turbofan] Handle dead diamonds in scheduling and add a test.
The background here is that graphs generated from WASM are not trimmed.
That means there can be some floating control diamonds that are not
reachable from end. An assertion in the scheduler for phis from floating
diamonds checks that the use edge in this situation is the control edge,
but in general, any edge could cause this.

Scheduling still works without this assertion. The longer term fix
is to either trim the graphs (more compile time overhead for WASM)
or improve the scheduler's handling of dead code in the graph. Currently
it does not schedule dead code but the potential use positions of
dead code are used in the computation of the common dominator of uses. We could
recognize dead nodes in PrepareUses() and check in GetBlockForUse()
as per TODO.

43f65e89f2 X87: Change the test case for X87 Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64.
The CL #34701 (https://codereview.chromium.org/1779123002/) added the Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64 test cases and X87 failed at them.

The reason is same as the CL #33630 (Issue 1649323002: X87: Change the test case for X87 RunRoundInt32ToFloat32), please refer: https://codereview.chromium.org/1649323002.

Here is the key comments from CL #33630:
Some new test cases use CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function for result check. When GCC compiling the CheckFloatEq() and CheckDoubleEq() function,
those inlined functions has different behavior comparing with GCC ia32 build and x87 build.
The major difference is sse float register still has single precision rounding semantic. While X87 register has no such rounding precsion semantic when directly use register value.
The V8 turbofan JITTed has exactly same result in both X87 and IA32 port.

For CHECK_EQ(a, b) function, if a and b are double or float, it will has similar behaviors like CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function when compiled by GCC and causes the test case fail.

So we add the following sentence to do type case to keep the same precision for Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64. Such as: volatile double expect = static_cast<float>(*i).

ahaas put those codes in CHECK_FLOAT_EQ and CHECK_DOUBLE_EQ macros in CL #34534 (https://codereview.chromium.org/1773513002 ).

So this CL replaced the CHECK_EQ in Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64 to CHECK_FLOAT_EQ/CHECK_DOUBLE_EQ for x87 can pass Run_WasmF32SConvertI64/Run_WasmF64SConvertI64 tests.

Word64Popcnt is lowered to Word32Popcnt(low-word) + Word32Popcnt(high_word).
Since the optional Word64Popcnt operator does not exist on 32 bit platforms,
I introduced a new operator "Word64PopcntPlaceholder" which is generated
in the WasmCompiler and then lowered in the Int64Lowering.

a5d4188849 x87: fix the use of CheckFloatEq and CheckDoubleEq in test.
Instead of using CheckFloatEq and CheckDoubleEq directly, I introduced
a macro which first stores the expected result in a volatile variable.

Here are some comments of previous CLs:

The reason is same as the CL #31808 (issue 1430943002, X87: Change the test case for X87 float operations), please refer: https://codereview.chromium.org/1430943002/.

Here is the key comments from CL #31808
Some new test cases use CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function for result check. When GCC compiling the CheckFloatEq() and CheckDoubleEq() function,
those inlined functions has different behavior comparing with GCC ia32 build and x87 build.
The major difference is sse float register still has single precision rounding semantic. While X87 register has no such rounding precsion semantic when directly use register value.
The V8 turbofan JITTed has exactly same result in both X87 and IA32 port.

So we add the following sentence to do type cast to keep the same precision for RunCallInt64ToFloat32/RunCallInt64ToFloat64. Such as: volatile double expect = static_cast<float>(*i).

5dc96ae28d [wasm] mips: Turn off signalling NaN tests on mips and mips64.
I turn the test off for now. The problem is that mips does not deal with
signalling NaNs as expected.

@v8-mips-ports: Could it be that the mips simulator deals differently
with signalling NaNs than the actual hardware? The implementation that
is tested in these tests assumes that sNaN * 1.0 = qNaN, where the bits
of sNaN and qNaN are equal except for the most significant mantissa bit.
This assumption holds for the simulator, but seems not to hold for actual
mips hardware. Do you know more about that?

3b6b8119ff [wasm] Add utilities to print out WASM ast directly from the bytes.
Motivated by finding a bug in a larger module, this CL adds the ability
to dump out a byte-by-byte, nested view of the decoded AST. This
byte-by-byte output uses the opcode enum to make it readable, but is
suitable for pasting into a byte[] in C or JS and thus making a regression
test.

The implementation sets the rounding mode flag and then uses the
cvtsd2si and cvtsi2sd instructions (convert between float and int) to do
the rounding. Input values outside int range either don't have to be
rounded anyways, or are rounded by calculating input + 2^52 - 2^52 for
positive inputs, or input -2^52 + 2^52 for negative inputs. The original

48bc94253f X87: [wasm] Change the test case for Run_WasmCall_Float32Sub
The reason is same as the CL #31808 (issue 1430943002, X87: Change the test case for X87 float operations), please refer: https://codereview.chromium.org/1430943002/

Here is the key comments from CL #31808
Some new test cases use CheckFloatEq(...) and CheckDoubleEq(...) function for result check. When GCC compiling the CheckFloatEq() and CheckDoubleEq() function, those inlined functions has different behavior comparing with GCC ia32 build and x87 build.
The major difference is sse float register still has single precision rounding semantic. While X87 register has no such rounding precsion semantic when directly use register value.
The V8 turbofan JITTed has exactly same result in both X87 and IA32 port.

So we add the following sentence to do type case to keep the same precision for Run_WasmCall_Float32Sub.
  Such as: volatile float expect = *i +/- *j; // *i +/- *j, etc.

13412d6693 [wasm] Fixed a problem with float32 stack parameters on 32 bit machines.
The code generation for pushing call parameters on the stack does not
distinguish between float32 and float64 parameters because both are
stored in the same registers. Therefore float32 parameters require two
words on the stack. The wasm linkage, however, only considered one word
on the stack for float32 parameters, which caused the problem that
float32 parameters were not located correctly on the stack. I fixed the
problem by considering two words for float32 parameters on the stack.

4c5b3609fd Initial import of v8-native WASM.
As discussed in person, this adds the code from v8-native-prototype into
V8 proper, guarded by GYP flags that do not build the code by default.
Passing wasm=on to 'make' or setting v8_wasm as a GYP flag activates
building of this code.

An additional header file is added to and exported from the compiler
directory, src/compiler/wasm-compiler.h. This exposes a limited interface
with opaque Node and Graph types to the decoder to build TF graphs, as
well as functions to compile WASM graphs.

The mjsunit tests added are blacklisted because they fail without the
WASM object exposed to JS, which is also disabled by the build config
option.

This corresponds closely to 5981e06ebc, with some formatting fixes and moving some files into src/compiler.
