bfefb6ab60 [asm.js] Re-enable tests that should no longer flake.
Now that segmented code spaces are enabled for WebAssembly, tests that
allocate a large number of modules should no longer flakily run OOM.

6b0a9535e6 [api] Add possibility for BackingStore to keep Allocator alive
Add an `array_buffer_allocator_shared` field to the
`Isolate::CreateParams` struct that allows embedders to share
ownership of the ArrayBuffer::Allocator with V8, and which in
particular means that when this method is used that the
BackingStore deleter will not perform an use-after-free access to the
Allocator under certain circumstances.

For Background:

tl;dr: This is necessary for Node.js to perform the transition to
V8 7.9, because of the way that ArrayBuffer::Allocators and their
lifetimes currently work there.

In Node.js, each Worker thread has its own ArrayBuffer::Allocator.
Changing that would currently be impractical, as each allocator
depends on per-Isolate state. However, now that backing stores
are managed globally and keep a pointer to the original
ArrayBuffer::Allocator, this means that when transferring an
ArrayBuffer (e.g. from one Worker to another through postMessage()),
the original Allocator has to be kept alive until the ArrayBuffer
no longer exists in the receiving Isolate (or until that Isolate
is disposed). See [1] for an example Node.js test that fails with
V8 7.9.

This problem also existed for SharedArrayBuffers, where Node.js
was broken by V8 earlier for the same reasons (see [2] for the bug
report on that and [3] for the resolution in Node.js).
For SharedArrayBuffers, we already had extensive tracking logic,
so adding a shared_ptr to keep alive the ArrayBuffer::Allocator
was not a significant amount of work. However, the mechanism for
transferring non-shared ArrayBuffers is quite different, and
it seems both easier for us and better for V8 from an API standpoint
to keep the Allocator alive from where it is being referenced.

By sharing memory with the custom deleter function/data pair,
this comes at no memory overhead.

22fd955507 [TurboProp] Remove the second schedule for TurboProp.
This rearranges the TurboProp pipeline to avoid the need for a second
schedule of the graph. To do this, it moves the final schedule creation
before effect-control-linearization (which used a temporary schedule
previously, and with TurboFan). It then enables the block updater in the
graph assembler for effect control linearization and does select and
memory lowering in a new ScheduledMachineLowering phase to maintain
this existing schedule during these lowering passes.

e0c1ca5a30 [torque] fix formatting of union types
The Torque formatter script did a hack to put spaces arount the | of

fight the Google-wide TypeScript style for union types, this CL reverts
to not putting spaces around union types.

5bba668004 [torque] introduce generic abstract types
This expands the existing mechanism for generic structs to also cover
abstract types. This involves:
- Moving the SpecializationKey from StructType to Type, so that it's
  also available to AbstractType.
- Moving the generic parameters out of the StructDeclaration AST node
and using the existing GenericDeclaration AST node for generic structs
  and abstract types too.
- The GenericStructType declarable gets generalized to GenericType.

This will be useful for defining a Weak<T> type for weak pointers.

fa13871a7d [heap] Introduce OffThreadSpace
Add a new PagedSpace called OffThreadSpace. This space will be used for
off-thread allocation -- it never marks or sweeps, and always expands
into fresh pages. Once allocation completes, this space's pages can be
merged into the old space.

The space is similar to the CompactionSpace, and merging for both is
identical, so we intrduce a new LocalSpace base class that both extend.
They differ in interaction with the sweeper and in how new pages are
acquired.

This patch adds the new space and uses it in a few unittests. Future
work will use it in the main source code.

e79d34ee36 [heap] Slots are either in sweeping or old-to-new RS after Full GC
This CL ensures that recorded slots are either in the sweeping or the
old-to-new remembered set after mark-compact depending on whether the
page was already swept or not.

All pages that are swept during the evacuation phase also have their
remembered sets merged. is_local() is renamed to
is_compaction_space() and non-virtual. The PagedSpace now not only
knows whether it is a compaction space or not but also for which
collection through the compaction_space_kind_ field. This allows
RefillFreeList to merge the remembered sets immediately also for the
mark-compact collection.

7ff8299231 [parser] Push variables of non-arrow parenthesized expression to parent
Parenthesized variable names are valid references for assignment. To make sure
we can properly mark the variable as assigned, we should push parenthesized
variables to the outer expression scope after the parenthesized expression is
guaranteed to not be an arrow head; so that the variable list of the parent is
complete.

Technically we could probably get by with simply pushing a single variable,
since more complex expressions aren't valid parenthesized assignment targets:
(a) = ... and [(a),(b)] = ... are valid, but ([a,b]) = ... isn't.
It doesn't really seem worth it though.

c4f502ed4d Remove JS natives support, step 3
The natives blob was deprecated in V8 7.8. This CL removes all related
functionality, including:

- Build system support, i.e.: generation of natives_blob.bin and the
v8_extra_library_files gn flag.
- Related scripts (js2c.py, concatenate-files.py).
- Related API functions (SetNativesDataBlob,
InitializeExternalStartupData).
- Natives bootstrapping logic.
- The InternalArray type (previously exposed through natives).
- Other natives-exposed builtins.
- Inlining of these builtins.
- The dedicated 'uncached external one byte string' type.

Step 1 landed in https://crrev.com/c/1824944.
Step 2 landed in https://crrev.com/c/1835536.
Step 3 (this CL) removes these all functionality related to natives
support in V8.

777fa98cc4 Make SetSyntheticModuleExport throw instead of crash for nonexistent export name
Per spec, Module::SetSyntheticModuleExport should throw a ReferenceError
when called with an export name that was not supplied when constructing
that SyntheticModule. Instead, the current implementation crashes with
a failed CHECK().

Add a new Module::SyntheticModuleSetExport that throws (without an ensuing
crash) for this case, and deprecate the old
Module::SetSyntheticModuleExport.

edd7434b3d Update Unwinder to handle JSEntry frame on Windows ARM64
On Windows ARM64, it is insufficient to just follow the linked list of
frame pointers in all cases. This is similar to logic added in
https://crrev.com/c/v8/v8/+/1701133 except this affects the Unwinder
methods rather than the function metadata for RtlVirtualUnwind.

Together with https://crrev.com/c/chromium/src/+/1844276 , this allows
the Chromium unit test V8UnwinderTest.UnwindThroughV8Frames to pass on
Windows ARM64.

48756fcf74 [regexp] Add a backtracking limit in the interpreter
V8 uses a backtracking regexp engine, which has the caveat that some
regexp patterns can have exponential runtime behavior when excessive
backtracking is involved.

Especially when regexp patterns are user-controlled, it would be useful
to be able to set an upper limit for a single regexp execution. This CL
takes an initial step in that direction by adding a backtracking limit
(intended to approximate execution time):

- The limit is stored in the JSRegExp's data array.
- A limit can currently only be set through the %NewRegExpWithLimit
runtime function.
- The limit is applied during interpreter execution. When exceeded, the
interpreter stops execution and returns FAILURE (even if continued
execution would at some later point have resulted in SUCCESS).

In follow-up CLs, this mechanism will be extended to work in jitted
regexp code, and exposed through the V8 API.

TurboFan can normally inline an arrow function closure callback like:

The serializer has information to support this in the form of
FunctionBlueprint Hints, though it's not exploiting them. This CL
remedies that.

simply keep on accumulating, keeping the earlier error alive across
accumulation.

83f8464ffc [builtins] Move non-JS linkage builtins code objects into RO_SPACE
Creates an allow-list of builtins that can still go in code_space
including all TFJ builtins and a small manual list that should be pared
down in the future.

For builtins that go in RO_SPACE a Code object is created that contains
no code at all (shrinking its size from 96 bytes to 64 bytes on x64),
but is there to allow the runtime to continue to work since it expects
a Code object.

This reduces code_space from ~152k to ~40k (-112k) and increases
read_only_space from 33k to 108k (+75k) in the snapshot.

c07c02e1c4 [runtime] Remove extension slots from context objects
Context objects have an extension slot, which contains further
additional data that depends on the type of the context.

This CL removes the extension slot from contexts that don't need
them, hence reducing memory.

The following contexts will still have an extension slot: native,
module, await, block and with contexts. See objects/contexts.h for
what the slot is used for.
The following contexts will not have an extension slot anymore (they
were not used before): script, catch and builtin contexts.
Eval and function contexts only have the extension slot if they
contain a sloppy eval.

7d6ada2714 [protectors] Update protectors in DefineClass
DefineClass uses the ClassBoilerplate to directly construct the
property descriptor array or dictionary for defining the class
constructor and prototype, skipping use of the LookupIterator and the
encapsulated protector update logic. This patch adds manual calls
to UpdateProtector(), which is in particular relevant for the
isConcatSpreadable protector.

3cad6bf5d7 Reland^2 "[runtime] Move Context::native_context to the map"
This is a reland of c7c47c68f2.

This makes TSAN happy in addition to:

Previously I presumed that the context read from a frame in the profiler was
a valid context. Turns out that on non-intel we're not guaranteed that the
frame is properly set up. In the case we looked at, the profiler took a
sample right before writing the frame marker indicating a builtin frame,
causing the "context" pointer from that frame to be a bytecode array. Since
we'll read random garbage on the stack as a possible context pointer, I made
the code reading the native context from it a little more defensive.

ae97e88542 [ptr-compr] Implement the DecompressionOptimizer Reducer and its phase
The DecompressionOptimizer aims to avoid adding the root in AnyTagged
or TaggedPointer loads. For the TaggedSigned case, we already solve it
in instruction selection.

The new phase will run only when pointer compression is enabled. For
the moment, it's also requires FLAG_turbo_decompression_elimination to
be false. This latter flag is only temporary to test out the
implementation.

The phase needs to be run when Machine are present in the graph, i.e
at the very end of the pipeline. Also, since this phase may change
the load's MachineRepresentation from Tagged to Compressed, it's best
to run it as late as possible in order to keep the phases that know
about Compressed MachineRepresentation to a minimum.

As an example, if we Load a Tagged value only to Store it back again
(i.e Load -> Store nodes, with the Load being the Store's value) we
don't need to fully decompress it since the Store will ignore the
top bits.

dfd9ceb984 [regexp] Clone match info for match indices.
The current behavior for generating match indices simply stashes a
pointer to the match info and then constructs the indices lazily.
However, it turns out the match info object used to create the result

it can change between the creation of the result object and the generation
of indices. This cl clones the match info which will be safer.

2dbcdc028a [profiler] Make ScrapeNativeContext check types and only run it where safe.
Previously ScrapeNativeContext was written quite defensively which could result
in false positives and crashes.

This CL makes the function always bail out when we're running on non-ia32/x64
since only those 2 properly verify whether the program is setting up a frame.
If we are setting up a frame, the context will be garbage.

This CL also disables profiler tests when TSAN is running since TSAN makes
ScrapeNativeContext unsafe: it considers SIGPROF asynchronous and will run the
handler after the program has already run further than the context that's
passed into the handler.

f78392d53f [Turbofan] Improve serializer environment handling for catch blocks
The serializer doesn't correctly propagate environment information
from try blocks into their catch handlers, and this impedes
optimizations that fire when we compile concurrently.

function bar(x) {
  try {
    boom(); // throws
  } catch(_) {
    return x.a;
  }
}

function foo() { return bar({a: 42}); }

When foo is optimized, we can normally return the constant 42
directly. This CL makes that work for concurrent inlining.

4d0360aa84 [tools] Add list of classes to v8_debug_helper
This change extends v8_debug_helper to export a new method that returns
a list of all known heap object types.

Why? We can substantially improve the user experience in our work-in-
progress WinDbg extension if we register handlers not only for
v8::internal::Object but for every specific HeapObject type. This has
two benefits:

- You save a click: if you're expanding a local variable of a more
specific type than Object, you can see properties immediately rather
than first needing to expand a sub-item that casts the variable to
  Object.
- You retain the type hint: GetObjectProperties accepts a type hint
string, and it's super important to pass it when working in a crash
dump because the object's Map is probably inaccessible. If we have to
cast to Object first, we lose this data.

c7c47c68f2 Reland "[runtime] Move Context::native_context to the map"
This is a reland of f05bae1e0d

Previously I presumed that the context read from a frame in the profiler was
a valid context. Turns out that on non-intel we're not guaranteed that the
frame is properly set up. In the case we looked at, the profiler took a
sample right before writing the frame marker indicating a builtin frame,
causing the "context" pointer from that frame to be a bytecode array. Since
we'll read random garbage on the stack as a possible context pointer, I made
the code reading the native context from it a little more defensive.
