bf7945cef1 Added EVT_GRID_EDITOR_CREATED and wxGridEditorCreatedEvent so the user 
code can get access to the edit control when it is created, (to push
on a custom event handler for example.)

d2520c85b0 Added accessors for the sub-windows in the wxGrid. 
Added methods to get/set the pen width used for the current cell
highlight, bot normal and read-only.

Fixed (I think) the problem of the cell highlight leaving extra lines
behind when the grid lines are turned off

d2c52078dc Added mouse wheel support for MSW. It generates a wxMouseEvent with a 
type of wxEVT_MOUSEWHEEL.

wxMouseEvent has new members and accessors to transport mouse wheel
rotation data.  New members and accessors are documented.

wxGenericScrolledWindow modified to turn mouse wheel events into
scroll actions.

Added wxUSE_MOUSEWHEEL to setup0.h to allow disabling the platform
specific parts.

33ac7e6f01 Updates to fix Watcom C/C++ 11.0 compiler warning problems. Now compiles 
clean with this compiler. Hopefully I did this without breaking other
compilers.

c909783630 Renamed existing wxGrid::SelectBlock to HighlightBlock.

0767cb6f44 Changed wxGridCellAttr::HasAlignment to treat values of -1 as no 
alignment because wxALIGN_LEFT and wxALIGN_TOP are 0.

Updated griddemo.cpp to use correct alignment defs.

4c7277db42 Changed cell and label alignment functions to use wxALIGN_XXX defs. 
SetXXXAlignment() functions still accept wxTOP, wxLEFT etc

d82323930c Added ForceRefresh() to request immediate repainting of a grid. 
Calling Refresh() doesn't do this because of our minimal OnPaint
handler (to reduce screen flicker).

Setting of position coords for wxGridEvents now takes account of
row and col label sizes.

43b5058d59 1. status bar can now be positioned on top (and anywhere, in fact) 
2. status bar without wxST_SIZEGRIP style won't have the size grip (wow)
3. scrollbars don't get the cursor of the main window any more
4. introduced wxSetCursorEvent and use it in wxSplitterWindow

cbc66a2704 1. wxProgressDialog uses wxWindowDisabler, not (dumb) wxEnableTopLevelWindows 
2. some more wxWindowDisabler bugs fixed (updated dialogs sample to test them)
3. Esc won't close the dialogs without cancel button under MSW
4. status bar can be child of windows of clases other than wxFrame
   (updated statbar sample to show it)

d16c04bb0a 1. removed 3d border, but

75ecbe4594 1. Initialized m_displayed to TRUE to solve a cell highlight problem 
for some systems.  If this causes no problems then this flag can be
removed.

2. Took out the edit timer so now a second click in the current cell
will activate the edit control, even if it is several seconds later.

07296f0b12 1. Fixed slow-click timer. 
2. Fix for full cell background to be painted.  (One line on the edges
was showing through to the background.)

3. Added current cell highlight.  Currently it just draws a thick
border using the gridLineColour just inside the cell borders.

4. Make dragging a little less sensitive by ensuring that the mouse
drags at least 3 pixels before anything is done to the grid.

5. CaptureMouse while drag-selecting cells and fixed to make cells
visible if dragging outside window boundaries.  Still a problem here
though, it moves way to fast to see what's happening (at least on MSW.)

2796cce3f1 1. Grid cell defaults are now handled by an internal wxGridCellAttr 
object.

2. wxGridCellRenderer::Draw updated to expect an attr object and use
it instead of going back to the grid for everything

3. The selection colours are now initialized from wxSystemSettings,
and are configurable.

4. Now either CreateGrid() or SetTable() can be called to initialize
the grid.  Added a test for using a non-default table.

5. Reduced flicker even more byt using empty EVT_ERASE_BACKGROUND
handlers.

6. The beginings of wxGridCellEditor are in there but not activated
yet. (This is the next step.)

- clicking outside cell area no longer causes crashes

1f1ce28841 Removed cell highlighting temporarily. Now wxGrid::EnableEditing(bool) 
sets the cell edit control to be editable or read-only.

Fixed row sizing problem where text was clipped in the cell edit control.

2d66e025ef Major redesign of grid classes: 
- wxGrid now derives from wxScrolledWindow
- Row labels, col labels, corner labels and grid cell area
  implemented as separate classes

The new design fixes the display problems (bad flicker when
scrolling) and simplifies the internal handling of grid cell
coordinates, the edit control etc.

8614c46755 1. '\n's in tooltip messages are handled (replaced by spaces anyhow, tooltip 
made multiline if comctl32 supports it)
2. added wxTAB_TRAVERSAL to default wxScrolledWindow style
3. improved arrows handling in radiobox (still problems for multirow ones)
4. [Alt]-<mnemonic> works in nested panels as well now because we use
   WS_EX_CONTROLPARENT for all windows with wxTAB_TRAVERSAL style
5. tooltips for radioboxes work again, even if I'm not really satisfied with
   solution :-( but I spent 2 hours trying to make TTM_WINDOWFROMPOINT handler
   work and I don't have more time to waste on this.

52068ea5ff Fixed bug that caused wrong block of cells to be selected if the 
mouse was dragged out of the grid cell area.

Cell text values now echo changes in top edit control if in-place
editing is disabled.

Changed highlight scheme again so that a border is drawn around the
current cell whether in-place editing is on or off. Hopefully this is
less confusing.

72cdf4c9b3 1. wxApp::ProcessPendingEvents() is now common, added appcmn.cpp and 
regenerated the makefiles. wxPostEvent() should work for wxGTK too (untested)
2. long -> wxCoord change for wxGTK and wxMSW, use
   wxUSE_COMPATIBLE_COORD_TYPES to get the old behaviour
3. wxHTML compilation fixes (for !wxUSE_HTML case)
4. a couple of handy macros in thread.h added

f85afd4e46 Added new wxGrid classes. This is a work in progress ! 
Define wxUSE_NEW_GRID as 1 in setup.h to compile the new wxGrid
otherwise the old wxGrid class will be compiled.

 wxTipProvider uses statictext for headline

   an OK buttons, unless wxYES_NO is given
 Appending a menu to a menu bar after having called

 Added test to configure so that it correctly sets
  compiler flags etc if GCC is used on Solaris and
  IRIX instead of CC, also changed default shared
  library create to GCC from G++ on some platforms
  (as previously already Linux)

0c551f1c23 Changes necessary to make In Place Edit work and look a lot nicer for 
MSW and GTK, and hopefully make it easy to make the same tweaks for
other ports.  There are still some very minor anomalies (changing
colors of the grid doesn't change the IPE control, etc.) but it is
definitely useable now.

The IPE control now gets the fore/background color of the cell.

Changed how the current cell highlight is drawn so mulitple clicks in
a single cell don't leave the highlight in an inconsistent state for
GTK.

Changed a dangerous static variable to a member variable.

0655ad290a 1. wxSpinButton fixed: it now sends EVT_SPIN_UP/DOWN messages (and unnecessary 
old code which didn't send them anyhow removed). It also allows to veto the
   changes, but this feature is not portable and as such is not documented.
2. wxBitmapBuuton doesn't lose its bitmap any more
3. wxImage::ConvertToBitmap() doesn't crash if image is !Ok() but just
   returns wxNullBitmap.
4. wxProgressDialog looks much nicer under Windows and its estimated/elapsed/
   remaining time fields actually show some non random numbers now
5. MDI client window doesn't flicker because wxMDIParentFrame doesn't position
   it at (0, 0) first before moving it to correct location
6. other minor fixes...

29ea4a2908 Added wxHelpControllerHtml, derived from wxHtmlHelpControllerBase. API like 
wxExtHelpController and fully backwards compatible with the "old" help
controller. Docs follow tomorrow. Modified sample to use it if wxHTML is
compiled in.

319fefa910 keyboard/focus handling improved a bit more: 
1. wxFrame doesn't give focus to anything at all on activation
2. last control restored more often (some problems still persist)
3. buttons process enter
4. text controls with wxTE_PROCESS_TAB still leave TAB work as dialog
   navigation key if the event wasn't processed

edccf4281b 1. wxDialogs are now destroyed when they go out of scope 
2. [GS]etDefaultItem() are now in wxPanel, not wxWindow
3. better checking for g_isPainting - hopefully no more false asserts
4. wxListCtrl not recreated any more when view changes, this corrects
   the bug with selection not working after view mode change
5. wxListCtrl now generates wxEVT_ITEM_ACTIVATED event
6. you can now press/toggle a button with a space
7. couple of other minor fixes

wxWindow and wxScrolledWindow. This breaks all ports!
  Added Layout() call to wxSplitter.
  wxDialog at least tries to set its position before its
    shown.
  wxGTK now emits char/key events as wxMSW does.

1f916a19f1 Tried to fix wxPanel bug (windows now set the panel current focus window on deletion); 
undid wxMSW wxRadioBox::SetSize changes that made it resizeable because it just doesn't

341c92a8b4 1. more keyboard navigation fixes - seems to work now 
2. wxPanel now remembers the last control which had focus, so it's restored
   to it when the focus returns to the panel (very handy IMHO)

afcaf277af Split part of wxExtHelpController into wxHTMLHelpControllerBase to share 
the filename lookup and URL handling mechanisms with the soon to be created
gtk-xmhtml based alternative. Added wxLocale support to allow different translated help files to be used. Tested (no changes to application required) under Solaris.

372edb9d37 1. added wxTreeCtrl::DeleteChildren() 
2. wxTreeCtrl::CollapseAndReset() doesn't destroy the item itself any more
3. wxTreeCtrl::Delete() sends wxEVT_COMMAND_TREE_CHILDREN event (but
   DeleteChildren() and DeleteAll() do not!)
4. Sample modified to show the new function too
5. Micro redraw bug fixed (small vertical line was sometimes drawn when it
   shouldn't have been)

size of right/lower pane (positive arg sets the size of

74bedbeb40 many changes to make generic tree control (more) MSW compatible: 
1) wxEVT_COMMAND_TREE_EXPANDING event now generated
 2) tree control doesn't not delete children on branch collapse any more
 3) migging image list and image-related functions added (but not yet
